I mean from Martys perspective Jean paul stole from him, and from Jean pauls perspective stealing the usb's from marty and doing the trade was the fastest way to complete the set. After completing the set jean paul was going to work with cg, so here marty had to choose with working with CG or CB MARTY SMOKING JEAN PAUL SOLIDIFTYS MARTY BEING A CLEAN BOI AND JEANPAULS BEING CG PERHAPS.

In terms of RP, we can all see this fight was simply a misunderstanding between JP and Marty. If JP communicated better, none of this would have happened because JP had a great idea to get the last USB. It was not going to go against Marty's principles and was not going to eff anyone over. It would have been a fair trade-off.
However, I freaking love that people are seeing that Marty is not a snake in 4.0 (I don't know what he was like before). Marty is loyal and stands on his word. He was not going to rob Lang's crew just to progress. He was not going to screw someone else over just to progress. This is 4.0 Marty ♥

As a CG viewer marty is making the correct decision imo, cg and x are working together cause right now it seems mutually beneficial but i dont think anyone but i dont believe anyone in cg is crazy enough to think x wouldn't try to betray them. Marty obviously had his reasons to trust x but since he broke that he should absolutely cut him off, at least for a while.

You missed the call before that where x said first to the house gets the usbs and took them all leading marty to believe he just got robbed then x pulled on him when marty was going to hold him up for the usbs so marty shot on instinct thinking he was about to get shot. X not knowing how to slow the fuck down got himself shot and split the group.
It depends if you watched Marty's perspective or not. In JP's it might not look that way but in Marty's he broke his trust in him working as a group.
