Those handwired cabs sound really great. So do those heads. I have 50 watt versions from 67, 71, 72, and 78. The 67 sounds the best, no surprise.
Thanks for the video, makes me want to get one of those cabs.

Sounds great! So what is your approach to bumping into solo mode? Tone of centuries!

how much did you pay for it? You've got a great tone out of that! You should do a "Working Man" cover, it would really sound nice with that Marshall. Cheers

Paid a little over $1,700 for it which, as far as 70's plexi's go, is pretty cheap. Its rather beaten up, the marshall logo had cracked and fallen off. I replaced it and replaced a few capacitors and it plays like new. Thanks for watching!

***** that's not a plexi. It has a metal panel for a faceplate. I think $1700 is a good price for an original 72.

badsanta518 You're absolutely right. It isn't correct, but most people just refer to the 100w super leads from 67-73 as "plexi"s, since the wiring is basically the same and the design is the same (besides the metal faceplate)

I don't understand the "hand wired" cabinet thing. Has anyone ever seen any speaker cabinet that was not hand wired? Do the non "hand wired " ones have a printed circuit board going to the speakers?

Handwired is the head serie, so is the cab name to go with

Nice, which power and preamp tubes does this amp have?

    • @mdgsdg

CoffeeTones thank you! 3 12AX7's in the preamp section, 4 EL34's in the power section.
