Great video. A couple of points: You do need to bring £40 cash for a week’s parking in the village, but it doesn’t need to be in £1 coins. There are change machines in the car park. Please do come back in October, November, December, late February - basically, any time but January. You’ve come at a time which really doesn’t represent even off-season Polperro. Thanks for taking the time to visit and make this lovely video. 😊
The nearest is Looe, jobs again are seasonal Plymouth is a good hour away by car, the buses are not regular, so have to plan travel even to work @@LifeofJoeJordan
As a life long resident of polperro id say empty in the winter because of the second holiday home owners and turning almost every building in the village into holiday homes
In the summer months, not good for residents as hard to move around which can impact daily life for residents, especially if trying to drive through the village, but to survive Polperro need visitors and holidaymakers
@@rumblelou3296that’s a bit strong, Louise. Back in the sixties and seventies when Simon was growing up, the main road was shoulder to shoulder. It’s really not like that, now, with more people going abroad on holiday. Yes, it’s busy, but it hardly gets in the way of us living our lives.
I ve always heard Cornwall is stunning, but Polperro seems like the crown jewel
It’s definitely up there :)
Wow seems queit in the winter time!
Apparently even more so in January!
Id love to visit Polperro someday it looks so beautiful
You should come!
Great video, thanks for telling us the story of Polperro
Nice one! Thanks for watching 🙏
Thanks for showcasing its magic!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Love this place in the summer, have been coming for some time now
It’s so nice in the summer but a lot busier than when I went!
Wow, Polperro seems like the perfect place for a laid-back, seaside lifestyle.
100%
I visited Polperro years ago, and this video brings back such amazing memories.
Awww thanks! 🙏

Ah that’s good to know on the weeks parking! 🅿️ thanks for your comments 🙏
I live in Cornwall, and have never been to Polperro. Great video 😊👍
Thanks and you should deffo visit :)
Polperro’s so cool that I’d trade my Wi-Fi for the chance to live there…
💯
Actually, the WiFi is pretty good too . 🙂
@kevinarmes I love this reply 😂❤️
Really what would you do that lol
Only with one provider
It’s beautiful, but how’s the job market in Polperro?
It’s near some bigger towns so I’d be looking here as well
The job market is not good. Seasonal jobs really

@LifeofJoeJordan the jobs are seasonal, so unless you travel to Plymouth the jobs are not regular
@rumblelou3296 or work from home I guess?
How is Polperro during the winter?
Very quiet
As a life long resident of polperro id say empty in the winter because of the second holiday home owners and turning almost every building in the village into holiday homes
Cold and windy at times, ut lovely as there are not visitors
Is it hard to move to Polperro? I imagine finding a home there must be tough
The chances are slim most of the time
Usually a fair few properties on the market. Couple of really lovely ones at the minute.
@theshabbygourmet1191 I was looking last week and see the same on rightmove
Yes right move is good, but buying like anywhere is not cheap in Polperro@LifeofJoeJordan
@rumblelou3296 same here in Charlestown :)
eekkk £7 cash only for parking
Maybe one day they will take card like everywhere else down here!
Polperro is amazing, but I’ve heard tourism impacts daily life there
You can see just how quiet it is here out of season so I’d say yes
In the summer months, not good for residents as hard to move around which can impact daily life for residents, especially if trying to drive through the village, but to survive Polperro need visitors and holidaymakers

How do you know that, do you live there ?@@theshabbygourmet1191
@@theshabbygourmet1191do you live in Polperro hun?
Probably the only place in Cornwall which takes cash only for the car park!!!
Yes it’s a bit odd!
