I need your help Bidge! Ive built 3 model tanks so far and they've turned out great, my next one is 1/16th scale one and i would like to start adding damage to them. There is plenty of tutorials on how to crumple up the fenders, but I cant find anything showing you how to replicate the damage of a shell strike from artillery or another tank, both glancing blows/ricochets and direct hits/penetrations. Since im more of a visual learner I prefer to search on video sites for tutorials which unfortunately limits the help i get :( Any help?
Off hand I can't think of seeing any tutorials on this although given the amount of vids i have watched over the years I must have. One method of creating punctures i have come across (apart from drilling) is to heat a metal needle to silly hot and press into the plastic (without burning yourself).
Hey Squidge, no law saying you have to reply. So you didn't feel like it or get round to it. so what?! Nothing to be sorry about at all dude. Keep making things, keep uploading things. Don't worry about comments. Do it for the love of doing it and enjoy sharing your thoughts and ideas. It's the vids we watch not all the comments... and thanks hugely for letting us into your workshop to look over your shoulder and get a few ideas. you're a top bloke with masses of support on here so don't ever worry if you go off radar for a bit.
Glad to know you're ok, that's the main thing. Onwards!😉👍🏻
Thank you buddy.
Hope you three are well and hanging in there :)
At least you were still uploading! Keep up the madness and banter. If it helps....I never commented on any of them :-(
