I appreciate the irony of Six and Hamilton performing at the Platinum jubilee…. A show about roasting a british monarch and another about declaring independence from the tyranny of the British empire performing at a celebration of the monarchy.
Time constraints and also because both songs encapsulate the shows message. Ex wives gives the necessary plot intro and explanation of who each queen is and Six holds the girl group female empowerment message. And both are full group numbers so every one gets a moment. Advertising wise it's the easiest way to explain the concept to someone who hasn't seen the show. Also probably because while Exwives is a good intro it's not very poppy six is and makes you wanna dance more but it also gives away the end of the show so an easy combination of both gets the best bits of each song and everyone loves a remix.
And I'm so glad that they've ditched Tsemaye's wig in favor of her natural hair instead of hiding it under an obliviously fake non Black woman's hair wig.
I love how this particular company of queens is entirely made of women of color. Also, genealogy side-note: both Charles AND Diana are/were descendants of Anne Boleyn's sister, Mary. Charles's roots come through her daughter, Catherine, while Diana's come through her son, Henry. If I remember correctly, Princess Kate is a Boleyn descendant, as well, but I can't remember if it's from the same branch of the family. (3/14/2023)
Sorry but wtf was 0:47?? I get it if she’s tired but how can it go so wrong? Not everyone sings perfectly all the time but i’m trying so hard to work out where she lost breath to make it sound so awful? Am i the only one that hears it?
No, no i thought the same and thought maybe she’s just tired or something. This performance was pretty Underwhelming no offense to the hardworking cast

and so funny at the same time.

Just goes to show how great the Monarchy and country is having the freedom to do so.
@@ABNJIM10- do you really think the Queen gives a hoot about musicals?

it’s a shame they couldn’t just do all of ex wives when andrew lloyd webber could have phantom and joseph for agess
I watched the entire thing just to see them perform and they did not disappoint
I’ve seen all these cast! I’ve seen the west end twice
I'm sad that this is the show where my parents decided we would never see the show😭😭
Why do they always do that same short little song? They could have done the full ex wives and six
time restrains probably but I also wish more shows would let them do the full song :(

What happened to Tsemaye's wig? Why her natural hair?
Tsemaye actually still wears a wig, it’s just a braided one now
@@shiftyshinings1273 So, new design. Gotcha!
