- One Gay man's experience in the military.
Over the past few days, I've seen a lot of negative experiences of some service members who are currently serving or have served in the military. I just wanted to give my story and which in turn might help some people who are sitting on the fence about enlistment. while possibly answering some questions.
Loved this video bro. I am openly gay in the army (active ) and married. I’ve yet to experience any negativity based on my sexuality..and if that ever occurs..i will go to EO..for the guys/girls that’s questioning to join or not based on fear..please know that we have systems in place to deal with those ignorant individuals. Be blessed everyone..feel free to ask any questions ❤️❤️❤️
Not sure where your journey is at today, since this vlog post. I seriously commend you. It is brave! I've read a few very stupid comments below, and it blows my mind that we still have idiots that hold very poor views. Well done, Thompson.
Is there anyway I can contact you to ask some questions regarding the army?!
Omg I need a guy that have just your character features
You’re dope af I can’t believe this is relatively recent. Been in 6yrs gay af w a deep voice and I’ll say. The “are you a homosexual “ is real af 😂 but the all men gang bang theory fake af. I myself in bmt was stressed out trying to not get kicked out of the “1%” lol. Didn’t have time to look around in the showers I was trying to get a check lol.
Thompson, I think you are amazing!
AND SEXY!!!
But I just noticed the last post was five years ago!
I hope you are well and happy.
Come on 'down under', we need great people like you in our forces!
Bring all your gay mates, they are looking for people and the food, the pay and the many other advantages are very attractive, like you!☺
You'll love Australia! Lots of bronzed Aussies on our beaches just waiting for you!❤
Thank you for your comments. You are real attractive man.
what's your MOS?
great stuff
DADT when 9/11 occurred? Young people these days. 😂
Don't ask don't tell was the way to go. All this diversity inclusion crap in the military doesn't make anyone a better fighter, it makes them weaker.
Guess what where here, I’m gay and in the process of enlisting. Oh well 🤷🏻♂️😂
Nonsense
TOTAL HOGWASH!
There has been tons of gay men
and women who have been awarded Purple Hearts, Bronze Stars for heroism in battle.
Over one million gay and lesbian women have, and are serving today in the armed forces of the USA.
You need to shut your ignorant and bigoted mouth!
You should be greatful and proud of these brave men and women serving in the armed forces!
They are putting themselves in harm's way to help defend against enemies of the USA and her democratic allies.
All the member countries of the Five Eyes have no prejudices against openly gay service men and women enlisting.
In fact, in CANADA, UK, AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND (the Five Eyes Nations) it is against the law to discriminate against gays and lesbians.
So, just go and crawl back into the slimy cesspool of dumb ignorance you crawled out from.
Army gay
you are so lucky you can be out. I was in from 78 - 83, deep in the closet the whole time. So from age 18 - 23 i had to suppress my sex life while straight guys all around me flaunted theirs. Drove me crazy.
i'm so sorry I know that anger.
Thanks for taking the time to explain it. I was
in the Navy for 20 yrs, under "Don't Ask...Don't Tell".
Would have been nice to be open and honest with
those I served with. Nice to know things in service
are changing for the better.
Thank you for your service to our great country.
Lmao navy...makes sense
How are you doing.?
I'm Arthur.. You .?
When I was in from 1973-77 It wasn't "Don't Ask...Don't Tell", it was just "Don't." I know of three men who were thrown out during my hitch. I was at the age when I realized my sexuality and I learned very quickly that discretion was the better part of valor. It meant putting up with heavy duty gay "jokes," jokes and comments. It meant making sure any encounters with fellow military men was done away from the ship. We gad to be careful. Thankfully times have changed.
My biggest fear. I’m sensitive, feminine, & gay and my mom wants to send me to the army. I won’t survive.
Go to air force
@@Jinxyoutoheaven that’s torture
Don’t join. You’re the one that have to sign the paper. No one can force you to join. Tell her to join
@@timothybrown6252 you’re right
Go. You’ll grow into yourself.
Disabled VietNam vet here. I served with a few guys EVERYONE knew were
gay, damn good sailors, and even better corpsman. I'm sure the "gut
shot" marine didn't give a shitt if they were gay!
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m 41 and Prior Army from 98-00, Hon Discharge from DADT, and going back to Basic in 3 days for the Natl Guard to finish what I started. Hope these children of today respect this old gay dude haha
Thank you for your sevise bliss you. Thank you for what you do for us all be safe 👍
beaming, candid, not whispering - love this video
Repent or burn.
I was in when you were immediately kicked out of the military with a dishonorable discharge. It was an odd time but a great time because I met some of the best people in the military. I dated my first guy in the military and went to my first gay club. We looked out for each other. My roommate was totally straight and knew about me and was so cool, even protective. I got out of the military and dated someone who was in the Navy. My first true heartbreak. Ob a side note, re you from Baton Rouge?
You are a nice person. Thanks for the thoughtful talk. Can you do an update in after 2 years in?
How are you doing John brown.
I'm Arthur... You .?
Dude I love your content!

In 1991 when I joined my recruiter TOLD ME that being gay in the military was a HELL NALL. Even on the paperwork when enlisting SAID you couldn't be gay.
Thanks for sharing. I served in the Air Force as a Personnel Tech back then if you even thought about it you would end up with a Court Martial. Times have changed.
i love the video it was very interesting! and its so cute you got gay friends in the army!! and its good you briefly talked about trans people in the army
(also...you may not have seen them as such but sharing a place with 60 guys....LUCKY BISH xD)
but when editting make sure you dont cut something off too early or too often.(and next time put some very soft music under it... like so soft its only noticable when something falls quiet) cause peopels attentionspans are very short so the brain needs to be stimulated CONSTANTLY and the first 5 seconds will indicate if someone will watch the video or not (the brain is ridiculous) BUT YER DOING GREAT SWEETIEEE!!! (unlike me who always falls quiet once the cam goes on lol)
(just some tips to make the vids better quality than they already are)
also whos that dress from above your bed?
Jebellish the dress is something I made. Cutting some of the videos was something I had to do due to content in the video. But thanks for the comments I’m still new to this so bound to be a lot of fixes in the future.
OMG YOU KNOW HOW TO SOW?!?!...boi is there something you cant do???!
in the My Work My rules video you see a gold gown that I made for a friend of mine. my Associate's degree is in Fashion Design.
we stan a masc looking fashion designer queen yas slay!!
@@jermaine1998 🤯🤫🤭
Thank you for your service in the military and by the way, YOU ARE SO VERY ATTRACTIVE!
You're so brave!
Hopefully he's brave in the battlefield too. That's what really matters when it comes to being a person who's supposed to protect your country. Doesn't matter if your gay or straight
@@dannyboydeluxfromthebigitybay I hope I’m sure they will die to protect the right to date the same gender.
@@user-cf6fo6bj1u hope they do too. Not many countries allow that without trying to hang you. People saying America is so homophobic is a joke cause 90 percent of the world is actually harder on gay rights than the United States is
thank you 🙏🏿 🕊️
oh wow....love this...!
Hi
I like your video
Our Army getting soft!!
And exactly what you have done?
How many push ups can you go?
Russia and China can sleep at night peacefully 🤣
amen
Funny 😆 we should deal with u as meal or female
Male? Just because he likes dick it don’t mean he ain’t got the test and muscle like any other guy
Are there still US military in Afghanistan now?
Nope there was a withdrawal of all units
❤
Straight men don't want to take showers with gay men. It's similar to putting a Straight man in open bay showers with females. Many times I've caught gay men watching me in open bay showers and that's not cool. But of course, if I say anything I'm wrong.
Exactly bro, it’s a man’s natural instinct to look. It’s not homophobia but they always play victim
Bro what? Don’t y’all shower together in boot camp? If y’all are uncomfortable, just tell them to stop staring?
What if it was a straight man? You would be fine? Stop being so insecure
@@origamifox5180 yes because he won’t be looking at us sexually
@@BigMan-rm6uy dude just because a gay guy looks at you doesn’t mean it’s a sexual way. Like you said we all fucking look because it’s natural instinct. Stfu
Enemy are laughing 😂
Us military is becoming weak
Why do you have to be so disgusting? Smh 😑
the real enemy now is trump and his cult followers. let them laugh. they will all be in prison soon
What do you mean by that ?
@@King-er7ef that’s a serious question..
No they're not lol. They can laugh all they want until a they/he twink calls a drone strike on their shitty 90s-era MBT and incinerates the whole crew.
Yall are so butthurt lol.
US Military is still absolutely on top, no competition. And LGBTQ+ people serving doesnt change that at all.
Cope harder nerd.
