Ngl, it's kinda sad that one part of the ending where Ginger walks on grass for the first time was cut. It would've complimented a previous scene where she talks to Rocky about how she's never felt grass before really well
Fun fact: Ginger originally had a little brother named Nobby but was removed and scrapped in the movie because they thought he was too cute for the movie so he was removed in the film to make the movie less cute.
Well, it's not really about him being cute, it just doesn't make sense for an adult hen to have a little brother. I'm not sure if Aardman or DreamWorks scrapped it but whoever did, I'm cool with it.
@@jocelynecupcake Then I don’t know. I remember looking at the trivia on the chicken run fandom saying that in the early version of chicken run, Ginger originally had a little broth named Nobby but was removed to make the movie less cute. I don’t know if it’s true or not true
The behind the scenes of the second movie showed that Nobby was meant to be the son of Ginger and Rocky, but it was changed to Molly. So, Nobby was cut two different times? Damn.
Rocky nabbing the tricycle is hilarious, I get why it was cut though, can't show the character you're trying to redeem stealing from a child just before the redemption.
meh... it could certainly work. Hate the fact that they cut it. It underlines the character of ROcky being quite a jerk. It still doesnt stop him from fixing things when he decides to return.
There was going to be a scene inside the pie machine where Rocky saw a skeleton of a chicken and quipped, "They bought a used machine! How cheap is that?"
This would be an adult joke - certainyl be too creepy for kids. They already skimmed close call with chicken getting decapitated and cooked in the story.
You know, that exact deleted scene when Rocky takes the tricycle that's based off what Steve McQueen did in The Great Escape when he attempted to obtain the motorcycle. That's quite Fascinating and on point!
This was super cool and wasn't aware of this discovery until now and, thanks for shedding light on one of my favourite films of all time's history Scribbles To Screen.

I love and hate claymation. I love everything about it when it’s done right, and even when it’s not, it’s charming, and you can tell all the time and work that goes into telling a story, even if it’s a ten year old messing around with playdough. There is exactly one thing I hate about it and it’s the other side of the same coin. With all the work that goes into it, when cuts happen it feels heartbreaking, even if it makes things better for the movie overall. When a shot like tripping the tricycle kid takes a week to do, and it just gets cut, it feels horrid when you think that people worked so hard on it. I get that it’s the same with all cinema, but ones where you have to go frame by frame like claymation or original drawn animation hurts just that bit more. With Live Action, you can do the same shot 30 times over to get the right look in a day, and with claymation, that can take months. It’s why they take so much longer and are therefore more expensive to produce, and why it’s a dying art form. It used to be cheap, Cus you didn’t have to hire actors, you can pay voice actors far less depending and everything could be made on a budget pretty easily. however with bigger and bigger movies, it becomes much more expensive due to the time, the proper equipment so that you don’t lose progress, the patience, the staff, everything. I hope Aardman doesn’t die, it’s one of the best things to come from the UK, where I hail from, and it was my whole childhood. Flushed away, Chicken run, Wallace and Gromit, Shawn the sheep and Timmy Time (that one was more my sister), creature comforts…even the Lurpak man. It was an iconic British staple for kids growing up in the 90s and 2000s, and I hope it keeps making icons for years to come. Also the psychopath penguin used to scare the shit out of me as a kid.
Back in the summer of 2000 and I didn’t know how long games take to make, I asked Team 17, the guys who brought us Worms, to make a Chicken Run game for the Dreamcast and PSone, which not only would’ve been pretty much the game Blitz Games brought us (which I didn’t yet know was in development in the first place!) but (inspired by the inclusion of Sega arcade games in Shenmue) included full playable ROMs of some of Team 17’s Amiga games, including All Terrain Racing and Qwak! It wasn’t until I got they replied to my e-mail telling me so that I even knew a Chicken Run game for both systems was already in development by Blitz Games!
I think originally, the door falling on Mrs.Tweedy would begin when she starts to shout insults at Mr.Tweedy, so he pushes the door on her to be done with her. Probably cut for time, pacung or just being more comedic end to her.
In chicken run dawn of the nugget it shows that mrs Tweedy has a new partner but that's not it all the chickens think it's a Funland but it's actually a maximum security contaminant
@@MRBOSSFORTHEWIN I already saw a review and I was not talking about the the second movie, I am talking about possibly cut content from the first movie. I don't see how your comment is relevant.
Yeah I think the final pacing of the door falling sequence worked best. At long last Ms. Tweedy has too little time to berate Mr. Tweedy any further, and symbolically and literally, he closes the door on that misery. I don't think any additional time would have made this scene better than what we got in the final cut. I'm especially glad they chose to go with a door instead of a singular brick.

Heres an answer as to how helped father all the chicks at the end. The answer is, the female chickens. Chickens dont need a male to help lay eggs, as long as there's a suitable place to nest, chickens can pop out as many eggs as they like
That's a fair assumption, but without an intact male chicken to fetilize the eggs, they would never become chicks. They would simply stay eggs and most likely be eaten by the chickens for calcium. Also, Fowler is more than likely not an intact male, but a capon. Rocket has some explaining to do 👀
But, the eggs will be empty without male chickens. Female chickens do lay eggs but male chickens make the eggs house baby chickens. The eggs they sell in stores, are eggs that don't house baby chickens, because the farms they come from don't have a rooster or keep the roosters in a seperate building.
It makes me mad that the eggs in the film are brown in the first 10 min with them being packaged but the rest of the film they are white. Canonly they are Road island red like the one in my PFP😩
