Brilliant idea of mechanising the traditional shims and feathers. What are the minimum spec requirements for the excavator that's capable of using the hydraulic rock splitter?

We recommend a minimum excavator of 12 metric ton weight class to get sufficient hydraulic power, lift, and reach.

I mean, it seems like a nice unit, but as soon as you said, you have to grease it manually every five holes. I was out all that tech and you couldn’t put an automatic greaser on it.

Not really a feasible way to grease that tho. Grease ports in the metal would break it easily.

And while we are at it, the more difficult part of the job is drilling the holes. What do you use to quickly come up with all those holes as soon as possible?

Yes, drilling the split holes is the time consuming part. You need a proper drill rig to drill the holes of 102mm/4", such as Epiroc T35 or Sandvik Ranger.
