  • In this episode I fished Bulimba Creek launching from a ramp at Hemmant. Fished the incoming tide and explored up the creek, lots of potential. Enjoy!

    There is another small boat ramp at the end of Fleming Road that runs off Wynnum Road at Tingalpa. I live near the Carindale section of the creek and have seen the bull sharks up around the canoe launch pontoon off Meadowlands Road, And have caught bream on slow jigged blades between Medowlands Road and Wynnum Road at Tingalpa. Also caught a lot of tilapia on fly gear using worm and bread flies.

      I live right near there and go kayaking but never see them, when did you see the bull sharks and were they juvenile or actual big ones because I really want to see one.

    I like the catch and release, after the shark. He will remember that for the rest of his life.

    Haven’t been sharked in the river yet-aside from them pinching the odd livey. Wello on the other hand has some big ones-supposedly attracted by the crab potters. Ive lost 2 fish to them but couldn’t get an eye on their size. Ive seen a couple of my fish chased by small ones and one squire with teeth marks. Thats a good haul for bulimba creek too.

    Wholly hell! Shark!!! I paddled through there probably 6 months ago. Actually beached at that weir and gave it the odd flick etc… some big turtles in there

      The weir area probably just too shallow for bigger fish..I’d imagine good flatties would hang around there at times

    Please do a video where you launch from the same boat ramp and fish where it enters the Brisbane river

      I’ve finally done it ,check out my latest vid haha..the mouth is quite shallow and didn’t see much structure…didn’t see much bait or anything lurking off the drop off either..the wharfs around there are worth a shot though!

    tried to lift up a good flatty off that flimsy jetty in Aquarium Ave once, and it dropped off of course. was only my 5th time fishing, so had no idea how to bring in a larger fish.
    you've encouraged me to wet a line there again, but is the bream from there, in your opinion ok to eat...

      Bugger! I know a lot of people eat fish from the river and this system is pretty close to the port, so I don’t see why not…I personally wouldn’t eat bream from there as to me they are the pigeons of the waterways and eat too much crap lol..I’ve eaten flatties, snapper, jew and tailor from the port and all seems ok.

      @@farcanalfishing thanks for getting back to me. I've even been looking at kayaks like yours on gumtree as I idea a bit down the track. All the best mate.

    What's that setup you are rubbing for your sounder mate the transducer is in an arm?

    • @farcanalfishing
      @farcanalfishing  2 года назад

      All railblaza mate and the transducer is bolted to the transom mount for a boat then bolted through the bottom arm of the railblaza..it works well although creates a bit of drag and spray noise
