I tried to copy this route as best as I could for 30m achievement, and managed to do it in 27m! I don't know why it took me twice as long despite doing the same moves, probably just built things really slow. GGs
What an insane run ! I particularly love your timings & how you place tools naturally in your structure the second they are unlocked. Btw, What are those 3 minutes staying idle in the end ? O_o .Felt so unnatural ! Seeing those cyan shurikens stacking while some more parallel production could have been added was quite surprising. Wouldn't it shave a few some more seconds ?
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. The delivery of the green-cyan mushrooms finish roughly at the same time as the blueprint symbol. So if I extended the production of only one of them, it wouldn't improve the time. That means I had to extend also all of the blueprint symbol production, including the extraction of the raw shapes/colors. I have always ended runs like this, as I assumed, that it is not worth it. However, I might be wrong. I have not seen other runs yet, so maybe other players were doing that with success (that is, gaining some overall time). To be honest, I'm occupied by work lately and was not playing almost at all since November. But I also thought, that this section of the speedrun looks like having some potential to gain some time. So if/when I get back to it, this is actually something that I wanted to try out.
and here i am getting a couple of functional and extremely sloppy lines going for the goal shapes and then just letting the game idle til i reach the level/upgrade goal lmao. i'm on level 20 and i think it's been running for like 40 hours total now
Wow, my brain kinda hurts just trying to figure out all your optimizations here. Figuring out a modifiable setup for going from red to magenta to white circles was inspired and was a big part of your good time.
Thanks! Yeah, there were also some other iterations of that section, that proved to be suboptimal. For example, having a color mixer block separate from the painter block seemed good on paper, it required only 10 mixers and singular color belts, it also was quite easily modifiable during the run. However, the overall reaction time to change the output circle color (i.e. the rinsing time) was too long.
@@pepkin88 I'm still trying to get sub-30 for the achievement, so I'm trying to implement some of your techniques. Also just noticed how you did the Green and cyan part at the end and it blew my mind.

Hold the Ctrl key while placing the tunnels. You can check it/change it in the settings.
