I don't think that works as a viable means to measure someone's intelligence. I can do it myself but only at 3 digits and 7 numbers max. I can also calculate what day of the week any given date. Other than those 2 mathematical skills, I think I'm just slightly above average. I don't think everyone knows how to use an abacus would be able to do mental arithmetic. Everyone has differing levels of memory and visualization.

I'm 25 and very grateful that I get to experience the evolution of gaming. My first game is on nes. And the brick-shaped no color Gameboy as my first handheld(although its my uncle's)
My first handheld was my brother's OG Gameboy, but my proper first was the Color. A friend of mine had the Pocket, but GBC released right around the time I found out the batteries had eroded and bricked my hand me down lol
Bruh, I was about to say. Talking about a generation gap for the gameboy advance when I was playing Pokémon red on my game boy pocket. Back in my day mobile consoles didn’t even have color yet. 😅
GameBoy "Color" with colorless graphics and 2-bit pixelation. I only played the F1 car obstacle game (F1 car design was the popular to create in pixelated back then)
i was born well before those exist but i only known their existence when i was already in college cause i grew up in the middle of nowhere where the only electronic device i know is crt tv and transistor radio😂😂😂
I started with the PS1 in terms of home consoles and the GBA SP in terms of handheld consoles. Also, likely for some dumb reason, I never thought of the GBA SP as much of an upgrade until I looked up its history after I went through Gamma's genmate Uyu talking about it and a bunch of other old gaming things during a solo chatting stream last Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
GameBoy Advanced SP having a backlight on its screen and chargable batteries was so revolutionary back in the day. Now its crazy to think that we had to put AA batteries in our previous GameBoy models and had to buy a separate attachment for a flashlight to play at night... Saying these things to a zoomer probably doesnt make any sense to them. Like how did we not have a light in the screen? Thats just how it was. You couldnt see the screen in the dark...
I started with the OG GameBoy and then Color, Advance, and lastly SP. I remember vividly playing Pokémon, Super Mario, and Tetris every single day. Parents couldn’t afford GameCube. So I never played Super Smash Bros and such.
Ohh so it's called gameboy sp, my cousins have two those and we (:i) would often play what was that, the running fox and other game I can't remember. I wonder where those gameboys went.

Interestingly, cause of the things they've said and done, you can assume Qpi and Gamma are in their mid to late 20s and Rinshan/Shinomiya are in their early 20s to even early as 19. That being said, I feel like you're definitely an outlier playing the heck out of the gamecube at 19 xD I'm 22 and I barely remember playing it, my memories more with the DS/PSP/Xbox 360 :3
If you're curious what's going on in the lobby chat here, check this clip out!

Tfw while Tsuna is getting hit on by Nazuna and Gorilla Gamma and QPI are having a mental break down over gameboys LMAO
Gamma seems like a cool dude.
He like a big Brother to Shinomiya
Shinomiya's personality perfectly fit the character, all the facial emotions when she reacts or talks, I am convinced she is this smol purple toddler
"While you were at school, I was studying the blade"
- Gamma on LS
Normally we would got "Listener zone" from Vtuber but instead Shinomiya give us "Grandparent Zone"
It’s so funny to see in the background of this video kuzuha and gorilla after seeing their interaction clipped
Ooo, I knew I forgot to do something! Ty for the reminder that I was gonna link a clip to that xD
i love how your subtitles feel alive
man. the talk about the PSP and gameboy SP gave me a rush of nostalgia
Runa has mental arithmetic tho, she has to be pretty smart.
I feel like she treats that like a game more than anything :3
Gameify anything and she'll be great at it~
Imo mental arithmetic is more of a memory thing than compared to being like actually good in other classes
Not sure if that qualifies as smart, it's almost like a isolated skill, like being good at chess doesn't mean you are a genius in life

Shinomiya blinking with blank face while q chan calling him baka chan was so cute
Okay Shinomiya is a literal toddler and you can not convince me otherwise
And here I am, still remembering the excitement of the SNES release and simultaneously feeling so, so very old.
The edit is top level.
Gamma "eh" is so pure 😂
Thank you for the translation and clip! I really enjoy this team's interactions.

How about Brick Game?

I am 34 years old, never held any consoles, but knew about Game Boy Advance and everything they mentioned because my peers were playing them.
4:01 wait that "deden deden" was so cute
Shinomiya spent her childhood playing abacus
😂maybe she play Shogi too
I remember my grandma played doctor mario... I miss my grandma..........
I didn't know I was gonna get hit with " I am fking OLD" feeling from this clip. WTF man T.T
0:20 I really like this subtitle effect
Also my first was NES 😢
my first video games were with ps2 but I remember I liked to climb starfruit tree on my grandma yard instead of playing it.
>me, who's first handheld was a Gameboy Color
i feel like crumbling to dust
We're already dead.
My first console was the PS3. Good stuff.
I remember when my dad get me my first game boy lol, and I'm 24 right now.

Nostalgic topic
My first handheld game was tamagochi and also GB Colour
Ohh so it's called gameboy sp, my cousins have two those and we (:i) would often play what was that, the running fox and other game I can't remember. I wonder where those gameboys went.

THE WORST PART IS THAT EVEN QPI AND GAMMA ARE CLEARLY YOUNGER THAN ME
ah but the kinship between those two is godlike though
This is confusing the hell out of me because I grew up on the GBA SP but was also like 12 when I got the 3DS.
"Note: I don't think there's a cute way to call someone an idiot in English."
A Loser maybe?
I still have my GBA SP, my first ever game was the Super Mario World port in it.
Brick Game the OG
I played with stick and stones

I'm sorry Gamma my first game was also on the ds

About the description, you could probably use "dumby" as a cute way to call somebody stupid.
oo, actually true! I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!
WAIT HOW OLD ARE THEY??? I’m 19 and played the shit out of gamecube
