First about Monica: I will keep her in my prayers. I can't even imagine how difficult her situation is, but I hope everything gonna be alright soon.
Second about the house: it is so beautiful! I was also making renovation and finished it year ago and I wanted floors exactly like yours, but guess what: it looked like this in the shop, but when I bought it and brought to my apartment, I discovered that it was almost white! Light in the shop was totally different. But now I like my floors 😉. And lastly about cabinet's colour: everything is white and very bright so I think that green would be nice contrast ☺️

It's so important that we listen to the Lord's leading and this was an excellent example. The Lord often moves through the unexpected: your remodel is one example, and Monica's situation could be one waiting to happen. Since you shared something you normally wouldn't, I will too...

I feel qualified to speak on this. I was homeless in Los Angeles from 3/31/2010 until @ April 2021. I didn't come from any of the "at risk" categories (drugs, abusive relationships, etc.) people like to point to. I served the Lord and worked in the church all my life, was a tither and offerer, worked all my life, had a masters degree (got my second one while homeless), and I didn't see it coming. I had a family that turned their backs on me and literally had no one to turn to or call for so much as a glass of water.
I've been in parks, motels, in shelters, and on bus benches exposed to any and all predators and scenarios you can think of. I wished for the luxury of a car, especially on cold rainy nights with nowhere to get out of the elements. I have had nights where the entire night was spiritual warfare, and I've had some incidents. It can be scary to be heading into a situation like that. But know this: GOD TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN!!!!!! He protected and provided for me right on a bus bench (the proverbial sitting duck if it were not for His intervention) in ways that people would say I'm lying if I told them!!! For example, one night, a man came to start trouble and as soon as he began to cross the street he literally hit an invisible wall, a few times actually, before changing direction and walking away. Another example, the Lord sent strangers who came every night (EVERY NIGHT, like clockwork) to bring money (not coins) and ask me what restaurant I'd like my dinner from that night. I'd wake up to police parked in front of my bench looking out for me, not harassing me (we'd nod and I'd go back to sleep, lol).
Sometimes things happen to us that defy all reasoning and without rational explanations, but God's presence and favor cannot be messed with. He made me to lie down in peace and safety every night, and every morning I woke up untouched. I am still coming out of the other end but I have a relationship with the Lord now that I never would have thought could happen in the midst of what I went through but never would have had without this experience. Take heart: if God is for you, who can be against you no matter where you are or what your situation is.

Success doesn’t define to what happened to us; it is how we choose to deal with our circumstances. The more you grow and develop as an incredible person as you are, the more things will change for the better. Forgive more (for you), be grateful for even the smallest things (we have it way better than someone else), choose love over ego, choose humility over ego (humility is strength), and finally, invest into new skills so that your future self will thank you. Anh, i Don't know if you will see this comment...but I hope you do at some point. I used to be so inspired to refer to your videos for interior inspirations when I was moving into my new house. But I think I'm not as good or patient as you when it came to planning and designing...and you made it look so easy. But man, even choosing a tiny piece of furniture was so exhausting and I wondered how you made it look so easy and got it so perfect. Its been a year since My husband, daughter and I moved in and our house is still far from being complete... But last weeks video seriously relaxed me. You showed that it is ok to not have everything work out the first time. I'm also learning that its okay to take time into designing a space till you find the right items you want for that space.
Your content has always been helpful. You have never disappointed us with your videos.
A specific example was my daughter's nursery. I had picked a similar and expensive wallpaper that I absolutely loved for my baby's room but it ended up being a traditional wall paper and I have zero experience with any kind of wallpaper. My husband and I tried to stick it by watching as many tutorials we could but ended up failing so bad that some of the wall even peeled out.. X( and i lost all my motivation to pursue the project. The energy it took to design the wall, the wallpaper hunting, the expensive purchase, the having to learn to stick traditional wallpaper, to fail, to fix the wall damage...it was a lot.
I needed to go on my Anh Lin binge watching mode and i saw how you had put up beautiful decals in the apartment you were living and got my energy back. We fixed the wall and put up decals and right now, people say my daughter's room is the prettiest room in the entire house!
Just wanted to say, you keep doing you ! you have never failed with your message. If anyone feels like its not up to the mark, they may come across a point in life were they feel like the message you had back then was absolutely meant for the situation. These updates are giving me the feels twice style haha. The pool is no longer looking like the creature from the Black Lagoon is about to appear but now a spot Ariel the mermaid could sing in. The hallway is not looking like a scene out of another Saw movie but now a walkway you can whistle while you work like Snow White's Dwarves. This house letting us know that it don't need a Sun to get its shine on.
Im so excited for you guys! My husband and I renovated our first house that we moved in 5 years ago when we first got married; needless to say that all those decisions and projects that we did together have helped us immensely to bond and grow together as a couple. The Lord has taken us this far and now all the projects are finished and we're expecting our first baby in the fall; He truly does have perfect timing for His people. May the Lord bless your home and all the decisions that you guys face, dont let the hard decisions tear you apart, rather, let them bring you together and learn together. wow, i really needed to hear this. Ive had an inlaw come to 'visit' in march who never left. I was stressing and getting fustrated because of all the neediness of this 'guest'. I was so disappointed she didnt go stay with her grown children. She leaves this week and will only stay with each for a week or two. She will return a day or two before going back overseas. A LOT of fustration; my bathroom still has blue tape from October '21 and the calk is now peeling on the tub! Thankfully I can turbo through the work once she leaves. She will return to a totally renovated bathroom. So yeah~ letting go/"breaking up is hard to do". I really must break the habbit, go to emotions and perfectionism. I can only control me, not others, the situation or things......God bless your journey, Stay strong darling.

Dea Ahn Lin, I've been following you for a while. Your videos are truly inspiring and you truly are a vessel for the Lord. Thank you for sharing your vulnerable stories. The peacock in your house symbolizes God's glory. This is a new season for the body of Christ to encounter God's glory in a way that was never experienced before. Peacock feathers are showing up in many places. I just wanted to encourage you that Jesus has got you completely set up for success. The world is going to see God's glory through you. In your video you mentioned that the house is probably the peacock's territory. I want to say, it's because you are dwelling in God's presence every day of your life and He is so well pleased with you. Bless you, sister!!

Anh, I love your videos and your kindess. I would rather you post honest videos than just pristine attractive videos. Rise above the negative nellies who belittle you (when they themselves aren't posting any uplifting videos!!!) and don't be so harsh on yourself. You are doing a phenomenal job, and inspiring soooo many of us to improve ourselves. Keep having fun with your channel, and remind yourself it is YOUR platform not anyone else's, and give yourself permission to make "messy" videos. Sending you big hugs and lots of love. ( And many many blessings to Monica. I made a donation last week. When I am worried or down, I put my hand on my heart and say out loud, "everything is working out far better than I ever imagined, or expected".
