    Join me on an exciting journey as I explore guitar building with my trusty VOZ Hobby CNC machine! In this video, I'll share my very first attempt at making an electric guitar from scratch. I'll show you how I prepared the wood and used Fusion 360 software to shape the guitar.
    Building a guitar with a CNC machine may seem easy, but it actually requires careful planning. I used Fusion 360 to design every part of the guitar for precision. But the CNC machine was just the beginning.
    After the machine work, I spent a lot of time shaping the guitar by hand. I fixed its shape, leveled, sanded and polished the frets, and refined the neck-to-body transition. Paying attention to detail was crucial to enhance the guitar's appearance and add those final touches that make it stand out.
    The video ends with the assembly and setup process, where the guitar truly comes to life. Building a guitar with a CNC machine takes dedication, patience, and craftsmanship. It took more time than building it the traditional way.
    If you're into guitar building or DIY projects, or if you simply want to see a first-time builder's challenges, and successes, this video is for you. Get ready to explore the world of guitar making, where technology and handcrafting skills meet. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell for more guitar-building adventures!
    In the future, I'll continue blending traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. I'll use the CNC machine for templates, fretboards, and inlays, while relying on hand tools for most of the build. I'll strive to bring unique designs, techniques, and ideas. Expect detailed videos covering the entire guitar building process, from shaping to assembly.
    Join me as we dive into the art of guitar building, celebrating creativity, skill, and innovation. Subscribe and stay tuned for exciting projects, fresh designs, and building techniques. Together, let's make beautiful music, one handmade guitar at a time!

    As someone who has been building guitars for over 40 years and using CNC professionally for guitarmaking for eight years, I want to commend you on doing a wonderful job. I love the fact that you’ve got great woodworking chops, and don’t rely on CNC as some people do to make up for lack of talent. You and I approach a few things differently and that is only proof that there are more ways than one to skin a cat. All the best to you on your future builds.

    Hey, great build! There are some things you can improve to avoid potential errors in using the machine, I'm not criticizing, but some of the things you do can lead to you having to throw out parts or whole guitars due to avoidable errors.
    The positioning and locating can be greatly helped if you position the blank using known reference points (i.e. cutting a grid on the wasteboard, having locator pins, things like that - also, you should have the center line marked out on the blank and the wasteboard, I did not see that here, but maybe you did).
    The way you use your clamps to hold down the blank is not optimal. The way you use them, there is a chance the blank may break free or shift while machining. The clamps should not be angled, but flat with respect to the blank surface, this way you maximize the contact area and avoid introducing shear forces to your hold down. Seems counterintuitive, but having the holding force press down only instead of partially to the side makes the hold down more secure.

    • @MagicAtticGuitars
      @MagicAtticGuitars  Год назад +1

      Thanks man for all the tips. I think it is valuable not just for me but to all that will read your comment.
      I do have a grid on a waste board and sure I'm using a center line an my blank. If necessary I also use pins. You need to have some technique to locate the piece for both sided milling.
      I will take your advice to my knowledge.
      Thanks for taking the time to explain it all.
