This song touched me so much...I have never had a song touch me and make me cry...but being a part of gen X and living in the St. Louis it was so much negativity that i lived through and this song was how I felt and still feel...my eyes are welling up as I listen to it now. I beat the odds, I made it past 21, I have not seen the penitentiary, i am not on drugs, and I did it on my own....Generation X one of the greatest that ever lived
I remember being 13 playing neopets listening to this song on repeat. I thought it was amazing and so were the voices. Now listening to it I still think it is just as beauitful but I actually understand what the lyrics are saying. Love this song. 2020
sometimes it doesnt require tangibility to be touched. He was a kid. The mind isn't fully developed until atleast the mid 20's. He may have made poor decisions for himself that day and other days but so do many other teens through out the country and none of them were shot. I used to be an out of control teen run away and i disrespect many adults in the process..many of them strangers. Noone shot me. Everyone child deserves that opportunity to grow and ultimately change.
They had internal problems that circled around Claudette..She left robbie for Ryan and Robbie became an alcoholic...they had an episode of intervention that featured Robbie and he told his side of the story.

So much trash at the end after the song ends. It clashes badly.
