What about the run off? What if there is new concrete poured under the project you are working on? Such as if sidewalks were poured before you would repoint and use this product? Or new pavers or something?
Always go from top to bottom And use respirator Sometimes u have to do 50/50 to take the mortar off the brick If the brick is colored Green ,purple or any metal in Use 1/600-4/water Make sure you water from top to bottom If you not wash entire wall you will burn the brick on the buttom If is regular clay brick its fine to have chemical longer on the wall Only those colored and glazed bricks Another trick If you have whole pallet of brick ,there is a paper from manufacture what kind of cleaner should use Let me know if that work for you PS Colder days are the worst Will not work under 40degrees the best temperature form me is 50&up
Most use a chemical injector ( beat way and keeps it even ) ive cleaned masonry for 25 years , going by the specs is good but sometimes you can't - trust me you get a dirty job those specs are right out the window and anyone with expierence will tell you that - even colored bricks and glazed bricks are fine to clean ( I don't know anyone wasting time cleaning by hand anymore ) mainly its only a really big concern when using muriatic - and as far as a respirator goes ( good advice but you will freak out everyone on that job ) get a 6-7 ft wand and it will keep ya away from it a bit
It takes 2 days weather depending for a wall to fully dry out - prob why they didn't show the finish - personally cleaning brick by hand is a waste of time - I could have washed that pier a few mins -
It really doesn't matter - I have 25 years exp and it's always been said to wash bottom to top but no-one ever does - only time you really have to worry about streaking is if there are stone caps or a different kind of masonry on the wall - if you get streaks just reapply chemical to streak spots n wash tight - stick to a chemical injector for cleaning - will be safer that way - Prosoco products are pretty easy to use - much safer to use then muriatic - but if you clean brick all the time muriatic is used alot more than anyone thinks
An acid could damage or remove any color that was applied to the brick after the wall was built. If the brick was manufactured with the color mixed in, then Vana Trol would be the product to test.
Tatica, for a small paint stripping project for a homeowner we'd suggest SafStrip 8. You can find out more about the product here: www.prosoco.com/products//products/enviro-klean-safstrip-8 To find the project we'd suggest asking your local Sherwin Williams store. It may not be in stock, but it can be ordered through them. Or you can find a distributor close to you here: www.prosoco.com/where-to-buy/
While I'm a big fan of prosoco products 600 is the worst cleaner they offer - ive seen numerous times it leave a wall looking blotchy- ive been washing masonry for 25 years , imo custom cleaner is the best cleaner the offer - much easier on the color and just overall makes a wall look better

It would have been a great addition to this video to show a before/after picture once the brick had dried, so that you can see the results.
RUclips is great service to use because you get information verbally and visually

You apply it bottom to top because you don’t want it to run down and streak the brick. Rinsing top to bottom is best though in my opinion.
