Correct. He's throwing these telegraphed shots with lots of force in order to get past Semmy's long guard. This is how he won the first time because Semmy is long but not very fast. If Badr had an iron chin he could have won that way again.
He's also still giving us exciting fights and is still competing at an extremely high level 12 years later. For someone that's been knocked down so many times, he's still getting up and fighting and he's had huge wins along the way.

Don’t be unfair. Schilt connected a ver good jab that destabilized Badr and the fight was over. That’s it, but before that Badr was pressing him and was clearly winning using the same strategy that he used in his first fight when he won and it was a clearly one sided fight.
The greatest fighters win everything but also loose big time. All the great names Hoost Hari Aarts Dekker Bonjaski etc. That's heavy weight at its purest.
Badr already fought Karaev & Overeem. Especially the fight with Overeem drained a lot of energy, because he pressured himself with the promise that he would win of Overeem in the first Round. Schilt also is a big strong man, he was 30 kg more than almost all the other heavyweight fighters in K1. He should fight in the Giant League 😂. Overall a great tournament

Source: am a kickboxer (amateur) and the ruleset for even amateur Muay Thai (which is all about elbows) doesn't allow the spinning backfist because of the risk of delivering a spinning elbow accidentally.
