    Man I love your content as a polish person, it's always good to hear someone glazing Poland even if it is not always true. Also i think that racism in Poland works like, for example i would say something racist while hanging out with my friends, but i do not really think that and i don't have anything against people of other races or culture, so the stereotype that Poland is a really racist country is not really true and some people from west just don't understand a joke and are too oversensitive.

      I thought it was pretty boring as most cities are but I am wiling to give it another try. Heading there this spring or fall to get away from the crowds. There’s probably more there I just need to discover it. It would be a more livable city but for the weather,coldness and cloudiness.

    What I like about Warsaw the most is actually the places where you can chill in summers, particularly riverside. Plaża Wilanów/Wilanów Beach (aka Zawadowska, as it is next to Wał Zawadowski on the left bank) in the south is the biggest beach which people never believe me is in Warsaw when I'm showing them pictures. There is also Romantyczna beach across it on the right bank, it is tiny, but you can make some picturesque photos there during sunsets. For the northern direction it kind of starts from Northern Bridge/Bridge of Marie Skłodowska-Curie. Both banks are fine, right one has occasional pub and beach, but its more like a bit of sand with a narrow path to the water (if any), generally an embankment walkway to stroll on/ride a bike with occasional stops to chill or eat/get a beer, while on left bank there is Młociński park which is more like a piece of a forest to cool off in summer (or better yet, south of the bridge there is Bielański forest). There is a ferry between right bank and Młocinski park, there can be a long line for it, but if not it actually is a nice ride to take vid/pics from as it doesn't just go straight left to right, but travels down/up stream for a bit. Also there might be a ferry between the mentioned southern beaches, but I've never managed to catch it, and last year it was completely absent due to low water level. For a bigger body of water there is about 30min train (SKM) ride to Nieporęt which is at the southern end of Zegrzyńskie lake. Although I would suggest to go further and check the other ends in other cities/villages for actual swimming, as the southern part (where the public beach is) has disputable quality of water. There is a big desolate beach in tiny Rynia on the right bank just above a commercial one, it feels like time stopped in the 60s or 70s there (with unfinished and abandoned resort at that).

    a large city is a relative concept, because Chinese cities can be the size of an entire European country, so you have to calculate it proportionally to the density of the nation, there are 40 times more Chinese than Poles, so their cities can be that many times bigger, Warsaw is just right for Europeans

      Poles don't really have the stomach for big cities on a western scale - not a funny little place like Berlin or Warsaw, a big city like London. Poles ultimately have a very small town /village outlook on life. That's why they mostly hate Warsaw, which is a big city to them, and prefer Krakow.

    Hungarian is even more difficult, Polish and other Slavic languages (ie Czech, Slovak, or South Slavic Serb/Croat, Bulgarian etc.) will be hard for you if you do not know any from that group. They are different between themselves but have common root and often similar grammar, often slightly different vocabulary or even false friends. Still need a 3mth-1year for ie a Pole to learn other Slavic language. Stick to English, Poles likes to practice

    • @alh6255
      @alh6255 4 дня назад

      No, Hungarian is a relatively simple language once you learn a few simple and initially surprising and unusual (for Indo-European languages) rules. It is also not as rich in vocabulary or phraseological units. You don't know what you are talking about... Besides, the Polish dictionary is not "slightly different" from the Russian or Serbian dictionary, but very different from them, not to mention Bulgarian. Polish grammar is much more complicated than the grammar of other Slavic languages (even the very difficult Czech and Slovak are easier here). Polish grammar and orthography take into account, at least to the greatest extent, the history of specific words, their origins or former functions. As good mathematicians who find it easy to learn Polish grammar and orthography note, Polish is an extremely rich language (significantly richer than, for example, Russian) and at the same time exceptionally logical.

      @alh6255 All depends where are you coming from, I wouldn't say I don't know what I am saying 😁 Hungarian is easy for speakers of Ugrofinic languages, Polish somewhat most challenging for South Slavs but works in the opposite way for us West Slavic, I understand Czech, Slovak even more. Those Cz/Svk saying they do not, were not exposed to it, I lived by the border, languages are different but could easily become fluent with a bit of work. I could even learn Croat, Bulgarian it is Slavic after all, lots of words have common root, yes different alphabet (I do know Cyrillic it helps) grammar and vocabulary, lots of sounds are shared. Point I was trying to make it you know one Slavic you can learn other Slavic, yes you have to put an effort less if within your branch of Slavic but work regardless, as oppose to learning Germanic, Romance language, maybe English is an exception due to its adoption and simple grammar, cultural popularity

      @@maciej9855 I know what I'm writing about. I'm learning Hungarian because of my sentiment for this country and my friends there. And I assure you that it's a surprisingly simple language, with easy, uncomplicated grammar and simple rules that are easy to remember. As far as I know, Finnish is also very simple, although it differs greatly from Hungarian (but sounds similar), because these languages come from two separate Finno-Ugric groups and contain other borrowings (for example, Hungarian has many more borrowings from Greek and Latin, as well as from Slavic languages and German). Besides, in the group of Indo-European languages there are also exceptionally simple and easy languages, just as easy (for example, for an Asian) to learn as Hungarian - such a very easy language is, for example, Swedish.

I didn't say Hun is impossible to learn, you can but Hun is surrounded by the sea of Slavs so to speak, where there is a common denominator if you dig deeper. Hun has also lots from Turkish, must be from Ottoman times or dates back to Huns times

I sobie pomagacie. I zobaczyć Was z tak różnych zakątków świata obok siebie.
    Życzę powodzenia w Warszawie!

      Żarty żartami, ale tego typu opinie (Warszawa, albo Polska ogółem, najlepszym miejscem w Europie) nie są tak nietypowe jak Ci się wydaje. Przynajmniej wśród ludzi, którzy dużo podróżują. Sam byłem w kilkunastu krajach na świecie i mogę z całą pewnością powiedzieć, że BARDZO ciężko znaleźć drugi tak bezpieczny i, przede wszystkim, CZYSTY kraj na świecie. To nie jest przesada.
      Nie każde miejsce jest dla każdego. Niektórzy lubią wielki misz-masz kultur, albo ciągły dreszczyk emocji. Im się najwidoczniej tutaj podoba i dobrze. My jako Polacy absolutnie nie mamy się czego wstydzić, bo naprawdę osiągnęliśmy bardzo wiele jako naród i jako kraj.

    In my opinion Warsaw isn't the best big city in Poland. I wouldn't like to live in Warsaw, because it is too big and I don't like estetics of its modern city center. Wrocław is smaller, but it seem to be really cosy. Everything important is closer and most part of the city looks like really well.

    • @alh6255
      @alh6255 4 дня назад +1

      It is clear that you do not know Warsaw. And you're not writing the whole truth about Wrocław. First, about Warsaw: the city centre with its skyscrapers is only a small part of the city (but it is fascinating how nicely the streets around them are arranged). There are many various parts of Warsaw, and they have their own local and very nice specificity. More of them are really picturesque and atmospheric, not only the Old or New Town. And I assure you, you have a lot of important things (important offices, museums, exhibitions, nice restaurants, sports, beautiful parks) within 15 minutes of your home, whether by foot or using really good public transport.And now about Wrocław: the old parts of Wrocław are beautiful, just like Warsaw ones, and they are not any bigger then in Warsaw. A large part of Wrocław is not very pretty and is largely neglected. For example, to get to the Centennial Hall, you have to pass by some really hideous areas.

    • @alh6255
      @alh6255 4 дня назад

      @ You wrote: "Warsaw metro area is 3.3 million, so close to just LA". And you wrote comical nonsense. The Warsaw metropolitan area has 3.3 million inhabitants, but this metropolitan area is not the city of Warsaw (which has 1.8 million inhabitants). The metropolitan Warsaw area is the city of Warsaw plus several suburban cities. In addition, the Warsaw metro has only 2 lines, although long, but they only reach some parts of the city of Warsaw and definitely do not reach many other parts of city of Warsaw nor of course the suburbs. In other words, the Warsaw metropolitan area is different from the city of Warsaw, and the Warsaw metro area is different from the area of the city of Warsaw and of the Warsaw metropolitan area. The metro area is smaller than the area of the city of Warsaw, and the area of the city of Warsaw is smaller than the area of the Warsaw metropolitan area. What's more, the city of Warsaw and each of the towns around Warsaw are different administrative units, although they are called (this is a conventional name, not an administrative one) the Warsaw agglomeration. Now do you understand?
