Federico Aldrovandi was an Italian man and he was killed by like 3 or 4 police agents. He was found dead with the hand behind his back blocked by handcuffs. He was repeatedly struck by the police agents, and I don't know how to explain good in English the story, but was a really dark part of Italy story. Cause they didn't pay for that.. they already do the work of police officer. I think Mika was trying to tribute him cause at the end of the video was show the police that stop the car... he died after the police stop him for a check. I hope my English is OK and I hope it's all understandable in the way I'm trying to say it. Anyway I'm not so sure about it but I'm guessing, cause when at the beginning I hear the name, I remembered all the story of Federico. Try to Google his name, and then you'll see. Grazie Mika. Se è davvero come penso, è un bellissimo tributo.

What a tragic story and I’m outraged.
I have had friends who were ‘gay bashed’ as it was called here. Men and boys beat up by thugs just because they ‘appeared’ to be gay.
I remember Mathew Sheppard and my heart breaks and by God I pray for the protection of these precious people and all who are oppressed in this world.

This reminded me of my mother not accepting me, telling me that I couldn't meet my gf in my neighborhood because it was going to make her feel ashamed, my aunt speaking about the lgbt community in a family dinner and being quiet thinking about how embarrassed they would feel if they knew about my sexuality. Thank you, Michael. Thank you so much for putting on a screen the things lesbians, homosexuals and bisexuals live day to day.
@Big LIttle Wha that's horrible! the same happened to a friend. He told his crush's sister that he liked him, she told this guy and everybody in the class started to make fun of my friend.
We have to be strong and help and listen to each other in the community, we're a lot of lgbt people in the world and we're fighting for our acceptance in the society and our rights, it'll get better, I promise. In the future, we'll become parents and our children will grow up in a friendly home.
In case it helps you to have hope, the other day I was in a march for lgbt rights and we passed across a geriatric, the grandmothers started clapping and one of the women who worked there took an lgbt flag and started dancing, it was cute and moving :)

For anyone else, he was an 18-yr-old beat to death by four(!) policemen who were called to a disturbance. They got 3 yrs 6 months in prison, but were pardoned and only served the 6 months. Then about a year after released they RETURNED to work.
"On April 29, 2014 "a major police union in Italy has provoked outrage"[7] after giving a five-minute standing ovation to three of the four officers convicted of the manslaughter of Federico."

It's full of meaning. In the past there were so much absurd violence against gay people and Mika has portrayed it in a sublime way. It's so full of feelings, between suffering, love and tears. ❤️

I already found this song so beautiful, but after first watching this video, I can't listen to the song without tearing up. I am so happy he and the director chose to go the route of telling this relatable and tragic tale through art and music. It's funny that the more MIKA creates, the harder it gets for me to find the words to describe how beautiful and meaningful it is.
The first word that came to mind with this was "emotions". That's what MIKA is good at. Expressing emotions and giving others emotions. Indescribable emotions. So many feelings with so much meaning. It's just too beautiful.

I loved this song before i knew the meaning behind it and this music video but as a a young girl discovering my sexuality this is even better than i imagined. I love mika so much and he is one of the most underrated artists out there.
