The people in Denmark seem so much nicer and friendlier than any other countries I’ve seen him visit including the uk

I am from Denmark, and i usually hear the opposite from outsiders, that we are rude and Inclosed, but this definitely made it seem the opposite.

I really enjoyed the video and was really surprised how you got by on so little! I got breakfast from a shop in Copenhagen and it cost like £7 haha. Top tip for anyone shopping for food in Copenhagen - avoid 7/11 and find a Netto!

pro tip from a dane: if you want a meal on 6kr, buy bread from lidl, it could be 2kr for one (it’s kind of a sandwich bread though) and then get something on it like cheap cheese.

Well yes there is 1 rule you have to be villing to talk 9/10 you have to start the conversation yourself
The idea of the bottles is that you pay 3KR extra when buying the bottle in deposit, which is then returned to you when you hand in the bottle again for recycling =) 1KR for cans and water bottles etc. and 1.5KR for ½ liter coke bottles. 3KR is for the bigger bottles (like 1½ liter coke etc.). A lot of people dont bother about the bottles and the few crowns in return afterwards leaving them everywhere, which luckily for the less fortunate gives them the ability to collect bottles for a little extra to get by with.
Reading the title I thought "oh okay, so you're gonna buy a pack of yeast and some flour"

As a brit living in Denmark I can say that this country is such an amazing place to live. The pant is 100% they way if your strap for cash but seeing as the wages are high then there is no need to. I do however keep all my bottles and collect them till I have loads and then cash them in and then straight into the saving. I'm surprised that you got away with no wearing a mask in store. Rema 1000 is by far the cheapest way to shop to

It's very much true, that we recycle alot in Denmark. Focus close to expire/expired food really kicked of around 8 years ago and have been growning ever since. I'm proud to be a part of that.

Why is the UK so backwards!? I remember going to Berlin about 8 or so years back and they had the recycling system in place then! Such a good idea and would help a load of people out not alone take small steps to save the bloomin planet..

@@ronangray1250 it isn’t how I works here in Denmark. You’re simply just adding the amount of money to you’re can and selling it for the same amount as you payed extra... hope it makes sense.

You essentially pay an extra 20 pence on top of the price of a bottle, and if you bring it back and recycle, you get the 20p back, think of it like a deposit. We used to have the system in the UK with glass bottles but no one ever bothered doing it and we put all our recyling in bins that you get from the local council.

@Braxton Ray sir, there's been 189k plus cases in Denmark since January 3 as per WHO. And effective january 26, people should avoid travelling to the said country. I'd understand if this was taken pre-covid but if it isn't, then, why can't he just wear a mask? It's not worth the risk in my opinion. Not all countries are under lockdown you know. Denmark requires you to have a purpose to visit and also from January 9 you need to have a negative Covid test from the last 24h. He could have said he's in denmark for business purposes and he would be allowed to enter
