Danny - The Treble clef is also called a 'G' clef, because the swirl at the bottom forms a crosshair on the line for 'G'. The Bass Clef is also called an 'F' clef, because the line between the two dots is F. It just so happens that putting a staff with a G clef above a staff with an F clef, leaves them separated by just middle C on a ledger line, which is really convenient for piano (the two staves together are called the Grand Staff). There are also 'C' clefs which form a bracket surrounding whichever line C is on, but they're weird and less frequently used.
Hey Dan you were pretty close to what a Clef means in sheet music. The clef denotes what octaves the sheet music is meant to be read in. Music is built around middle C, written as C4. A treble clef denotes that the lines are meant to be read as the notes between C4 and C6, while the bass clef denotes that the lines are meant to be read as the notes between C2 and C4. From my experience in playing string instruments, the clefs don’t really matter that much as for 99.999% of music you play within the same clef on your instrument, i.e. a violin solely plays with treble clef and a bass solely plays in bass clef. The violas are the only exception as the vast majority of the time they play in alto clef, but I have seen a few pieces where they play in treble. Pianos are also kind of an exception as they typically play in bass clef with the left hand and treble with the right hand. I think in “band” instruments there is more shifting between clefs for instruments, but I’ve never played one of these instruments so I am unsure.

You get to the conclusion and well the game just ends abruptly.
Musician who can read music here. They were really close, both clefs have 5 lines. The reason why it's called the Treble clef (or the G clef) is that the point where the center of clef touches the G above middle C is. For the bass cleff (or F clef) its the same thing but with F an octave lower. What dan is thinking about "when the music goes above or below" the lines on the staff, you would use what's called ledger lines.

These games are my absolute favorite and this is the best X-mas gift this year! Thank you GG and Ethan!
Got a cigar, I bite it, it’s for the look, I DON’T LIGHT IT!
I see you :) Its to show it has no control over me!
as ethan always says in every video, i cant wait to crank it to this gameplay
It's nice seeing Danny and Arnold with Crank Loves Games.
Danny and Arin get so full of beans with Ethan around, I love these three lol
Charlie’s voice…actor reminds me of those stand ins for actors in movies. Not the talent carrying the role but someone who resembles them from afar enough for the crew to get the equipment set up properly. Except he was also the final talent

greatest
Voice acting
Ever
Lmao 🤣
"Am I crazy? No, I saw something. Do you want to ask the nutcracker for a hint?" What an amazing sequence of sentences caught on tape by these gentlemen🤣
always love when they play these games, and having another friend along for the ride this time just adds so much more fun to this series, can't wait for more!
i genuinely love it when you guys do hidden object christmas games
I love whenever you collab with Ethan!
Such a precious boy, must protect!
Oh my god... Charlie's voice acting... Who let that slide? 😅
I look forward to these every year. Thank you. 🎄
I love how Charlie explains the horrors of warfare as if it was an inconvenient line at walmart
Having a Bachelors degree in music really hurt during this episode, but it don’t matter.😅
Them not being able to explain a base and treble clef isn't super important, but the hard work and dedication you put into your degree certainly does matter.
When Arin said in full confidence “a bass clef has 4 lines, F A C E!” I paused the video and went on a ten minute rant about why he is wrong.
@@Elstree make a video, I wanna hear the whole thing pls
@@Mex_Luigi Na, I'm not musically educated the way some others are, I don't have a degree or any schooling or anything, it would make me sound like an idiot.
@@Elstree Oh I hardly think so, but the basic nature of what I was asking is just a short rant explaining exactly why Arin was wrong. It could even just be 30 seconds and end with "Fuckin A. ... Hanson." or something equally predictable. Regardless, I would be fully satisfied and laughing. But hey not everyone wants to make content, I understand
These are definitely my favorite episodes. The banter in these slow-paced puzzle games is great.
Arin playing games with Dan: 'So I put this on the hardest difficulty, and NO, DAN, you're not bringing the difficulty down!'
Arin playing games with guests: 'So I set the game to the easiest difficulty so that we can have a good time. See how things twinkle when you can interact with them?'
I get the feeling half the joy Arin gets out of regular GG is just making Danny have an existential crisis every episode now. XD Very special kind of friendship where you get to unashamedly troll each other in the semi-abusive manner, and both of you be cool with it.
i look forward to these every year ,but this one was extra special. Truly great entertainment.
Ole Lukøje is the Danish (Probably rest of Scandinavia as well) version of the Sandman.
The name Lukøje is a combination of the words "Luk" which means to close something, and "Øje" which means eye.
So he is Ole Close'your'eyes
I LOVE that Eef is making more regular appearances with our boys.
I absolutely adore these three together. I hope we get to see more of him here!
Arin saying that there are only four lines on the Bass clef really bugs me... especially since he used the space letters as rationale... there are the same number of lines in both clefs, five lines and four spaces
I believe Arin got confused between the music staff (5 lines for notes) and the fretboard (1 line per string) for guitar/bass instruments
@@marclink0 yeah, he was probably thinking of tablature. I bet he's tried learning the guitar or bass guitar before. Tablature is taught for non-classical and non-jazz guitarists because it's faster to read initially.
@@GunkyDunkle Oh that could be it
I love how with the difficulty mode selection it's Nina's, Charlie's, and Nutcracker's mode. Not Albert's mode. Nutcracker's mode. He got his name privileges revoked, he can only be known as the Nutcracker for the rest of his life.
I completely died when Dan quoted "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" from the critically acclaimed album _Willennium_
Charlie’s va definitely read the script for the first time when he recorded his lines
The fact that this is a sequel to one they already played is actually delightful. That one is one of my favourites to come back to during the festive season.
This Crank chap does a remarkably strong impression of the plank of wood voicing Charlie. It made things so much more hilarious.
I was saving this for Christmas morning, and boy was it an absolutely great way to start the day. It was hard to eat breakfast because of how much I was laughing - Both out of how all three guys were firing on all cylinders, and how unusually dark the story is for a Hidden Object-style game.
Somehow whenever Don and Arnold play these hidden objects puzzle games they're ALWAYS funny and ALWAYS bangers! Please never stop playing these, they give me the happy juice in my broken brain
Ethan had me in tears merry Christmas Y'all have a good one
56:17 for if you’re looking audio for the animation from Neal.
It makes me so happy when the grumps play these games during christmas!!
Thank you game grumps. I just slipped on some ice and hit my arm on the stairs. It’s cut up pretty bad and heavily bruised, but you guys bring a smile on my face through excruciating pain. You guys are the best!
I look forward to these games each year! I could watch them all the time. They just give off a chill vibe with a dose of hilarity! Happy Holidays!
I LOVE these kind of point/click games!!! They're the best kind for the holiday season!!! This should be a Grump tradition.
Idk what it is about this particular series of games, but I absolutely love them. Something about them is addicting. I remember playing the Snow White one, and accidentally stumbling upon and watching the Bluebeard one online. I just wish the endings of these games didn't wrap out so fast.
I love these point-and-click Christmas themed puzzle games. They've become cozy to watch.
The fact that this is watchable shows how amazing the grumps sre
Half the time Charlie was narrating I thought it was actually Ethan just making fun of the real VA's obvious line reading
