Stolen from you Taken by surprise Broken in two And pulled right out from underneath you Burning soft skin of two Trying hard to let go of you Hoping it will do Pulled right out from underneath you [Pre-Chorus] I miss the whiskey on your breath I miss the way you pushed me on the bed It gave me something to look forward to In times when I felt best, but now [Chorus] I am nothing, I am no one I have nothing, I have nobody to run to I am nothing, I am no one I have nothing, I have nobody to run to [Bridge] I miss the whiskey on your breath I miss the way you pushed me on the bed I miss the way you gave me something to look forward to In times when I felt best But now it’s all ending Now I have nothing to look forward to And now I’m just another grey face Empty and lonely and screaming in the mirror [Chorus] I am nothing, I am no one I have nothing, I have nobody to run to I am nothing, I am no one I have nothing, I have nobody to run to
"I miss the whisky on your breath, I miss the way you pushed me on the bed gave me something to look forward to when times weren't at their best but now. I am nothing, I am no one,"
+Rickinator1969 well, after a second listen, it's definitely her voice, just not really her style... at least not like what she's doing now... this sounds much more "radio"
+disgraceland uk I definitely hear the PJ Harvey, too, but I was referring to the riff. it's pretty Cantrell-esque... and you have to admit that she doesn't write like this anymore
I might jus be a LITTLE late on this but let me add about the comments about opeth That band kicks fucking ass and unlike mainstream music getting shoved up your ass. Good music nowadays you have to LOOK for it. Opeth is not jus limited to blast beats growls and varying time signatures. Listen to watershed, heritage, black waterpark etc.So with that said , I CAN see the comparison between her and opeth 😊
+zilt tsep I totally agree with you. Specially Still life, that album is their masterpiece... Heritage is their worst album ever, I actually stopped listen to them after that album. Now I think the softer rock songs of Opeth, specially the ones in the damnation album can be somehow, compare to Chelsea Wolfe style. I actually think Ulver's acoustic album can be a better point of comparison.
Dude this is on her cd "mistake in parting" why in the FUCK isnt this cd on iTunes!!!!! TODAY I end the WORLD !!! Chelsea is so good ! Very smart cute shy girl ugh !
This is absolutely NOT the kind of music I usually like... but she is simply wonderful. There is this little something that make the (big) difference from the crap tv/radio/internet feed us with.
AVEZ VOUS DEJA ECOUTER QUELQUE CHOSE D AUSSI ENORME ET FABULEUX QUE CELA... SHANNON WRIGHT PEUT ETRE TELLEMENT ENORME ELLE AUSSI; LES NANAS NOUS DONNENT UNE BONNE LECON ET C EST TANT MIEUX...
Right cuz Opeth totally have a monopoly on dark and brooding music. Why don't you try expanding your narrow musical knowledge before saying something so inane?
It's such a shame she hates this record. She did amazingly.
Wow. This is definitley my favorite Chelsea Wolfe song. I can hear her beautiful voice loud and clear.
Stolen from you
Taken by surprise
Broken in two
And pulled right out from underneath you
Burning soft skin of two
Trying hard to let go of you
Hoping it will do
Pulled right out from underneath you
[Pre-Chorus]
I miss the whiskey on your breath
I miss the way you pushed me on the bed
It gave me something to look forward to
In times when I felt best, but now
[Chorus]
I am nothing, I am no one
I have nothing, I have nobody to run to
I am nothing, I am no one
I have nothing, I have nobody to run to
[Bridge]
I miss the whiskey on your breath
I miss the way you pushed me on the bed
I miss the way you gave me something to look forward to
In times when I felt best
But now it’s all ending
Now I have nothing to look forward to
And now I’m just another grey face
Empty and lonely and screaming in the mirror
[Chorus]
I am nothing, I am no one
I have nothing, I have nobody to run to
I am nothing, I am no one
I have nothing, I have nobody to run to
"I miss the whisky on your breath, I miss the way you pushed me on the bed gave me something to look forward to when times weren't at their best but now. I am nothing, I am no one,"
Indeed, it's really hard to find wonderful music like this but when you dig deep and do find it, it's like you won a lottery ticket!
Beautiful song.
still
this song makes me cry...HARD!!
It would be a perfect song for a Silent Hill game.
Glorious. Puzzling that Chelsea isn't huge but there is a certain pleasure one gets from being a member of an exclusive following.
WHY THE FUCK THIS ALBUM IS NOT ON SPOTIFY?
MUSICGASM!!!!
Awesome!!!
I am.
I am a huge fan of both : )
I love this!
Yes, I like PJ Harvey as well.
Pretty sure mouthbreaters like you slagged PJ off for sounding like Patti Smith back in the day... ;)
I would love to find this album. Cannae find it on ebay or anything.
Oct 27, 2018
Odd. I just clicked out of a video that was put out on the same day as this video.
Also yay! New song found from the lovely Chelsea.😄💙
thx! That album is hard to find :[
georgous girly

YO THIS WOMAN GETS DOWN =D ...LOVE THE SOUND..
pure beauty:)
She so good that it makes me feel unreal ahha
Polly Jean feels
Why is this album such a disgrace? Explain it to us Chelsea !!! Please.-) I don t understand it at all. There are many fantastic songs on this record.
@nolocus
I wouldn't think of it on my own, but I hear it a tinny tiny bit.
i'd love this too..... might i bother you for a link? this is fantastic, and i'm on a chelsea wolfe binge.
totally has an opeth vibe. dark and brooding with beautiful vocals over it all. just no death growl haha
not bad, i like it
Anyone else reminded of Opeth listening to this?
I could see it.
Hahahaa! Right on!
I feel like I hear some Jerry Cantrell influence here
Also kind of hard to believe it's actually her... Gonna need to look this up
+Rickinator1969 well, after a second listen, it's definitely her voice, just not really her style... at least not like what she's doing now... this sounds much more "radio"
PJ Harvey influence maybe, Cantrell? Notsomuch. And as for not believing it's her...ha ha ha.
+disgraceland uk I definitely hear the PJ Harvey, too, but I was referring to the riff. it's pretty Cantrell-esque... and you have to admit that she doesn't write like this anymore
Hardly surprising. This is a very early song and every artist worth their salt evolves over the years.
I might jus be a LITTLE late on this but let me add about the comments about opeth

You have recommended their two worst albums. Still Life and Morningrise should be alongside BWP, not Heritage and Watershed.
Does anybody know where I could find the lyrics of this song?
cool - lil b

nobody to run to.
This is absolutely NOT the kind of music I usually like... but she is simply wonderful. There is this little something that make the (big) difference from the crap tv/radio/internet feed us with.
@nolocus no not at all
Your gal Grace! She's trying to I think.

Really like her, remind me of PJ Harvey
Is it wrong to like Opeth? I can see the reason to get mad for someone comparing Opeth to Chelsea, both amazing, but totally different.
actually, yea.
So was Mistake in Parting her first album? It's interesting to see her artistic transition.
Red Host era is interesting too, sadly there´s no enough songs to listen. She's incredible.
She sounded like Emy Lee
@nolocus NO
From what album is this?
I was reminded of Aghora instead
I kinda like Opeth ._.
