Hello Ashika, any idea how long students have to wait for PWS visa news ? I am planning to apply for master's in business analytics for Sept 2023 intake. I'll give my English test next month. But now I'm completely stuck because there is no latest news on PSW visa and this is so stressing me out. Also most university's are not showing any deadline for application it shows ASAP so taking the decision is very difficult ma'am.
@@joffiej1585 I have stopped my process of lor.. I saw a post regarding PSW visa that not all universities are giving the PSW.. since there is no clear information on this I'm having a second thought of considering another country. Now IELTS test is mandatory in most of the countries I'm preparing for it anyways.
Hi Ashika, Im seeing that you are still responding to comments so that is nice. Just had a quick query - my brother is studying in the UK and his spring break is from March 29- April 18- the problem is that we want to spend Eid together as a family and was wondering if staying outside/ missing school for a week affects the PSW process. He is in his final semester and is set to graduate in September. Any guidance or redirection to knowledgeable people is appreciated greatly. Thanks for your work on youtube for new people coming to UK 🇬🇧. 😃👍
Hey Ashika, I’m planning for sept. Intake , should I wait ? And I was planning for PSW too . So it’s right decision to come uk in September intake or should I wait for the news ?
Hi Harsh, it depends on the deadlines of the universities you are applying to. Ideally make your decision keeping the deadlines in mind and these are possibilities, nothing has been confirmed yet.
This may not be a popular opinion however, I don’t see big reason for the UK government to allow dependants of students to move to the country IF the course is of a lesser duration such as 1 year. PhD yes and BSc or BEng or something yes. One year is absolutely nothing. Second, there maybe a shift in immigration policy focused on science and engineering since one of the states goals post-Brexit is to make the UK into a “science superpower” which requires students and talented researchers in Nanotechnology, Aerospace engineering and beyond. Above all this, IF students to a “lower ranked school” aren’t allowed into the UK then many of them will fold (like it happened in Canada recently after 2020) which has a short-term negative impact but long-term it saves hundreds of thousands of dollars for the students and their families.
As someone who has recently moved to the UK herself and who is a ‘digital content creator’, this is selling a course on studying and working in the UK! Why would you be doing this if you could find a regular job yourself? 😄
I love that you're so personally invested in my job but you obviously haven't done enough research. I enjoy being a 'digital content creator' and thankfully I don't need to explain myself.
Hey there. Have a question. My husband is a British citizen, and was born and brought up there. And I got my visa recently. My visa type is D- partner (standard). I did B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Bangladesh, from North South University. After getting into the UK, I'd like to Masters in pharmacy-related courses. So my question is would I need an IELTS score to apply for getting admission to universities?
I have got some offers from great ranking universities for msc data analysis and msc marketing for September 23. Shall I wait until march/april for the government to confirm the psw because I depend on psw for ROI
Hi Ashika, I need some information. My wife got a student visa and sha has to travel to the UK before 6th february. By that time I wouldn't get a dependent visa to travel alongside. I heard there might be some problems if I travel after 2 weeks from my wife's departure to the UK. Is that true?
Also can you give information about which colleges in uk are offering the course of MSc in advance general dental practice, i will be highly grateful, thank you 😇🙏🏻
Looking for a job for a skilled worker visa on the very first day of coming there as a student is really surprising! Then why are they strict for part time job hours?
Hi Ashika As you mentioned that student visa can be converted anytime to skilled visa which is legal now. But under gov.uk it's still mentioned that student can apply for skilled or Tier 2 visa upto 3 months before the end of the course. From which source this information can be validated. Pls. Do share. Also you said that there is some politics behind this particular decision. Would you pls. mind sharing your thought about the same. Would there be any consequences of transitioning visa type so early without completing the course..
Hello Ashika! I got an offer from Middlesex University (London) for Msc in Digital Marketing for Jan intake. Will this affect my visa or immigration process?
MSc in advance general dental practice (1 yr course) Masters in public health (1yr course) Is these courses will also be affected by the new rule and regulation passed by the uk govt.???
I studied there and a year after graduating brexit began... tbh I don't think it's worth it there anymore, it was a total waste of time. Their educational system isn't even that hard... if you can choose something else, go for that. It would probably be easier to live there because there wouldn't be such strict immigration rules.
I think thats why most folks prefer a skilled worker visa or a health carer worker visa because that allows you to apply for an ILR in 5yrs and reduces a huge burden or visas
@@AbsolutelyAshika I was EU student (and I still had to apply for a work permit during my studies) but after Brexit we were required settled status or a visa... or you could also apply for permanent residence if you have been there long enough but tbh everything was soo complicated and chaotic after brexit. I'd suggest searching for a country that doesn't focus so much on immigration problems because it is a huge setback them stopping foreigners from coming or kicking them out all the time. They are changing the rules too much and too often... and they're making it harder on purpose.

Hey Dina, see thats the funny thing, when asked, the govt doesn't want to comment yet on what low quality institutions are. But an educated guess would be that its either low ranked colleges or courses that don't necessarily offer a work path.
My wife got unconditional for june 2023 intake and i am dependanr, we already paid fee and cleared Precas interview and waiting for CAS to go for visa, kindly let us know if the new rules applicable to may june intake students also?
@@AbsolutelyAshika What if we drop Visa in March (we can apply before 6 months course date as per CAS) and new rules come in April which are not favorable, do they still applicable to us ??
@@AbsolutelyAshika The Times Higher Education news titled " Plan to limit international student recruitment ‘driven by No 10’" published on December 5th, reports that graduate visa will be limited to high quality universities. The article reports, "No 10 appears to be suggesting that the graduate outcomes metrics developed for England by the Office for Students following the government’s drive against “low-value” courses - which set baselines by course and institution on dropout and continuation rates, plus numbers of graduates progressing into professional or managerial jobs - could be deployed to decide which universities would be able to recruit overseas students."

How would the new rules affect the students who are already studying in the UK in regards to PSW?
