thank you. One thing that hurts, no matter how bad the car was hurt, why not put a mat or sheet on the floor to protect the seats from abrasion, as well as something to protect the sills when pulling them out of the car? That made me cringe...but, you have somew of the best c7 repair content, and i really appreciate your effort and sharing...baring it all.

You’re right, thanks for the suggestion. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that.

Haha, this one may have been a bit more on the boring technical side, I’ll have to work on that :)

Also the seatbelt can be saved just pull the seat forward and unscrew the anchor

In my case, both times the belt was so tight the motor could not move the seat forward so you couldn’t get to the anchor bolts or the rear seat bolts. I think that will happen most of the time when the pretensioner fires on an unoccupied seat.

That tensed seatbelt can be saved also. Just need to gently pull off that panel between pillar and roof and undo the bolt holding the anchor.
Also when taking out these very heavy seats absolute must is to cover interior with a big towel, it's rails are sharp and you can't really see where they go when you lifting and rotating it.
Do you know if there's a way to reset these errors in SDM (srs deployment module?) at home? My foxwell doesn't allow me to clear it (6 errors total, 2 for airbag, 2 for each pretensioner).

I wasn’t able to get the panel off because the belt was so tight. I’m glad you had better luck.
Have you replaced the airbag and pretensioners yet? Once I replaced those it was easy to reset the airbag and I don’t think I even needed to do anything with the pretensioners.
I need to finish the airbag replacement video. I’ll try to get it out this week. I included the programming when I shot it.

@@RecordsRebuilds Yes belt was like a guitar string, but that panel is pretty flexible because of belt hole in it.
I replaced belts and pretensioners, also replaced those melted airbag connectors, but did not install airbag yet, should I install it and try to reset the codes again?

Yes, the bag needs to be installed for you to reprogram it. You’ll also need to reprogram the new clockspring you installed. I just finished editing the video and hit compile. My kids have a field trip tomorrow, but I’ll try to get the video posted by tomorrow night.

Front frame horns, crash bar, radiator, condenser, hood, both fenders, both inner fenders, both wheel wells, front bumper, grille, both headlights, emblems x3, air box, misc plastic under the front bumper, and the skid bars. Probably some other stuff I forgot too.
