Yes it would work. I used that in our allotment in north Wales as I had loads of scrap slate. This time I had wood as that’s what we had. I also find the wood easier to spot amongst the plants. Plus it’s easier to lift.
I would’ve taken the slugs to the woods and everyone would have yelled at me that, the slugs would come back also! Praise The Most High that you care about HIS creation too! Thank you 🫶🏼
It's quite a long distance for them to slime their way back to. I feel they might stay there as there's also lots of tasty generous plants in the woods. I love that you'd do the same 🐌❤️🐌
Do you do any step by step videos (week by week) videos on growing vegetables? I met you at a nutrition course a while back (there was a class full of us and you were teaching so I don’t expect you to remember but I’ve been following you since). I’m a complete beginner and saw you do herb courses but wondered if you’d thought about doing a veg one for beginners ? In person would be great but also online could be good. Was thinking something where you recorded week by week in between then we all met up in person for a day at your garden. It probably seems simple to you having done it for so long but to the beginner nothing is obvious especially when things are ready to pick, what to do with the soil etc. just a thought as I’ve looked and looked and nobody appears to be offering this.. not uk based anyway. Hi Kerry, Great to reconnect. I would love to run a course like that but at the moment I do not have space in my teaching schedule. It's a great idea and something I have thought about . For now I am only able to sporadic videos in RUclips where possible ❤️🌱❤️

Great idea Salena! I wonder if using a thick slab of slate or stone might also work? I think slugs love the thermal mass
