This left hand part, although repetitive, is quite the beast! I recommend making sure you can play it alone at a super slow tempo before trying to add the right hand. Don't let any frustration get the best of you - you can do it! -Dan

😹😹😹TERRIBLE PRONOUNCIATION. NOTRAAYYY? SMH
I dont wanna pay for it
Please Free party 2
Honestly one of the most beautiful songs out there.
You're not wrong.
Wow I can't believe you uploaded this! I've been dying to learn this piece.
We were thinking of you, Chris :)
How did you get on?
Its for the first part only
To be honest, this is one of my favorite piano pieces I've ever heard. I just started learning it! By the way, I speak french, english and a bit of spanish. Thank you for tutorial!
Thanks for it. I took 3 days to do this first part of the music. It looks simple but it takes time and perseverance to make my left hand comfortable to do the four measures. The other difficult is to put both hands to work together in the song. I could do it VERY VERY SLOWLY, and increasing speed a little bit each time! It requires effort and concentration. Greetings from Sao Paulo, Brazil! (By the way, I do not speak French... :-))
Great work, Esteban! Keep after it.
Bilingual in French and English and fluent in Spanish. Italian and German at an intermediate level. I'm from Europe and it's perfectly normal here for people to speak 3-4 languages. There is so much diversity, every country has their own story, old buildings, traditional food and music. I don't think I could ever find a better place for me to live than Europe.
:))
Thanks @HDpiano after a lot and a lot and a lot of practice, the left hand is becoming easier and the right hand with your slow pacing had allowed me to learn putting it together. My drum teacher used to say, speed isn't important, what's important is that you can play slowly without mistakes. Speed comes later. You seem to preach similar styles.
Thank you ... I never thought this piece was possible (for an almost novice).
Great to hear!! Your drum teacher is exactly right. "What's important is that you can play slowly without mistakes" - This is so true.
I've learned this song and I have to say, it is one of those pieces that is easy to learn, but hard to master!
💪🎹
You're the best piano teacher I've ever had!
Keep going!!!👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Will do!
I'm Danish. I am fluent in English and I also speak some Spanish. I love this song! Thank you for the tutorial!
Wicked!
This was one of the most soothing videos I've ever seen
(also English, Polish, German, and learning Japanese)
D'aw, thanks!
This is the stuff im terrible at. Having to do alot of stuff with your left hand, then doing simple things with your right hand. I cant do it.
And i also speak swedish.
Yeah. I love that you guys reply to almost all comments!
I know, it is ultimate song for left handed people
true. i’m left handed and left hand was a lot easier for me to catch up than right hand
I don't think that the piano is related to left hand or right is related to your brain which make you focus ,there are some people can't play piano and sing at same time because singing distract them
First of all, thank u for all of your work. It’s really helpful.
Well I can speak French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and a little German, which I learned when I was a kid. But I think music has an independent language and a more universal one ❤️
Love spending time with that universal language!
I learned the left hand and gave up, and after a few weeks i see this tutorial and i try it and i finally did it together less than 1 hr! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial!
That's great! Thanks for learning with us. It's funny how time-away from the piano sometimes works wonders. The brain processes things without you even knowing it. :)
My first time here. Thanks so much, I battle a bit with petite hands .. trying to manage the left hand, thanks for suggesting optional method! I speak Afrikaans (mother tongue from South Africa) and Portuguese, living in Portugal presently. Appreciate your method of teaching!
Thank you for learning with us and for the comment!!
Cette prononciation merveilleuse, merci haha
:D
Oh my god i have been waiting for this sooooooo long. U guys r the best
Sorry for the wait!
Wow this is beautiful. I'm gonna learn it right away
Woohoo!
always the best 2021 here
The very first song I taught myself was through this kind of tutorial
and picked "The Amelie" song, without any real prior piano experience.
Didn't have the means to watch digitally while at the piano so I wrote
it all down. To my surprise I learned it within a a week or so. Coming from a beginner, it's super fun to play and not as
hard as it seems in my experience. The "fast" part still needs improving
to get it to flow smoothly. I never realized how popular it was!
😊🤘Well done!!
your explanation is a clear finding ,I wish I had a teacher like you, . well done !
Glad to help :))

stretching my left hand this far: hurt
learning left hand: surprisingly easy
adding left hand + right hand: I literally almost gave up, my hands don't work together like that...
Don't push through pain--that's usually a sign that you're ready for a break/stretch! Slow it way down and be patient with yourself. Good luck :)

The 'easier' way you considered for the left had, was about 10x harder.

Hmm this is what we've got!
I speak english french and finnish
I started laughing when you said the name of the song😂😂
Hahah darn it! -Dan
Same
@@wesxd5292 lol me too
Me too. It always makes me laugh when people try to pronounce french words like bonjour or croissant. They always pronounce it like ‘cRRRoissant’ or ‘bonJouR’
I can speak French and English well, can sort of speak Zulu and Afrikaans ( Afrikaans is similar to dutch BTW, in fact it is the old form of dutch ) and understand a little bit of Spanish
Very impressive!
Norwegian!!
Ayoooo
after more than an hour now I manage to play the entire left hand and just the 3-5 first notes on the right hand then i mess it all up.
and now my left hand hurts as a mofo because I am no piano player. I think this hour is the most that I have played on a piano ever. Yes sure I can use my keyboard to play single keys just to see how to paint them in my DAW but I know no chords or even the letters of the keys xD
By the time I managed both hands I'd need a bigger keyboard since mine is just 25 keys which luckely is just enought to play this first part :D
(Swedish and English here)
DANG! This one is super tough on the LH, no doubt. Take it easy - 15 minute bunches, make sure to stretch out. -Dan
I speak french, german, english ,spanish and italian. Aktually living in Germany :-)
So cool!
I didn't know Yann Tiersen was famous outside France

I speak English, French, Italian, German, some Spanish and Latin.

I'm a native Spanish speaker, but I also speak English :)

amazing!
How the hell did he even pronounce that?. And fluently?. I'm impressed. You are good at pronunciations of the words. And your good at the piano to. What grade is this anyway?. Do you know what the piano grades are? Oh. And the question. My main language is English, but my mom taught me a little bit of Romanian. Even a couple cuss words lol. Not too much though. I can't just have a full on conversation. Don't know that many words. I know I the basics of spanish. Nothing more
