    Hey brother, love your content and all man. Especially now that we're both in DD6 together and making progress! Gotta challenge you on the Baby Apoc/Big Boy Apoc though.
    Even with my baby apoc and DD6 node 1 and 2 attempt, he was rock solid. Took me 6 attacks for Node 1 and 4 attacks for Node 2. End of the day, as powerful as Big Apoc is, surrounding him with a good team of 4 other characters outweighs the Big Boy Apoc emphasis I think. And yes agreed, I think mystic is the hot commodity in DD6, being strategic and careful on who you invest in earlier on is definitely going to have dividends (saving those mats for cosmic/city, vs global). Just chiming in from my personal experience as well! Cheers and keep it up man! Love your videos!

      Of course you can and will get through wether you have big boy or not, with big boy you don’t have to surround him, he does it for you which allows you to take cheaper options. I’m in no way saying one approach is better than the other, but people need to know and start thinking about the options because there are multiple and it is very dependent on what their goals are.

    I agree completely with your thesis and I would even extend it to Bio to a lesser extent. Global doesn’t rely on Mystic and Bio, so these valuable origins can be put to better use in Cosmic and City.
    That said, I think a solo Eternal (whichever) is probably a better use of Mystic 18s than Doctor Strange if one can afford one more set of minis.

    Interesting and sound ideas here. Im 2 salvage away from being able to get started with Apoc, Cap, Bucky, Vahl and Kang. I was considering Cap Carter and Weaver/Doom for global and Photon, Kestrel & an-other for cosmic. I guess i could look at another raid character for global and save the mystic gear for city.

    I think it really depends a lot on how many characters you're planning to G18 after DD6. Personally, I'd rather take the least characters I can to T18 so I'm more prepared for DD7 when it comes around than I was for DD6. Because with Big Apoc being such a massive diversion (think I'm currently taking 0 Apoc chars to DD6, and it looks like you're only taking 1 in Kestrel) it's not just the minis that start becoming a problem. Even the origin gear starts to run dry when you're taking these chars up from scratch. I agree with you wholeheartedly on Weaver. I'm not going to want a T18 Weaver in six months. But I AM going to want a T18 Quicksilver. So I do think it makes sense to do that now and then not take whoever QS would replace to T18 at all ever. I do see the case for a quick Super Skrull, but honestly there's only so much that your roster strength actually provides you nowadays. Crucible is quite literally meaningless unless you just have fun with Crucible. No T18, no blue 5, and not a substantial enough difference between ranks for anything less than that to really 'matter'. War is definitely more important than it's been with the double up of blue 5, but unless you're full Merc Mode and just climbing alliance to alliance, there's only so much one player with Super Skrull can really do if everyone else is also not rushing him. The one big difference is Arena, but I really don't know if having a few extra shards on a couple chars you cored for means a ton. Because even in top 50, you get plenty to engage with events with and that and raids are where the most resources come from. It's a good topic though, definitely has me at least second-guessing a bit on him. And usually there's a way to beat the new meta char without having them, and I imagine people will find tech to use Secret Defenders, Big Apoc, and something to beat a Super Skrull. Won't hold on defense, but nothing ever does for too long.

    I don't have apocalypse equipment, I'm dry of mutant material, but I could equip Captain America, black widow, weaver, kang and doom with 5 red stars. Do you see it possible to pass the first nodes without suffering a lot in the unrestricted nodes and global nodes or do I have to take characters that provide more damage? Thank you so much.)

      You can always start but imo global will be horrible without Apoc. I’d love to know how it goes if you decide to not take him though.

  • @woodyrichmond6543
    @woodyrichmond6543 11 месяцев назад

    I would say the rules of thumb should be, outside of Apoc, just let the gear drops guide you and spread your choices out amongst the different classes. You will likely reach a gear roadblock at the end of each section, even with careful planning, so it is ok to use each gear type a little. Just be mindful of very expensive toons also.
    One more bit of advice, the city nodes are not overtuned like global, so you have a ton more leeway in who you bring. You absolutely do not need Cloak and Dagger. My all-stars through that section were Negative and Shang Chi. The others were 2099, Noir, and Big Time, and all contributed. The last node took the longest at 8 attacks, but didn’t matter cause I have now been stuck for 2 weeks waiting for Black Cat unlock to start Legendary.

    Quicksilver is great, but totally agree that best to save him for second run (that's what I did) Most people will be gathering gear as they go, so taking a few extra days isn't going to matter in the long run.
    I did IF WW2 and also agree with you. Total dud without any teammates. Oh well, he was cheap, filled a space, and arguably helps in raids (very arguably lol).

  • @link2440

    The key is to take great toons that you know you want to take into Global and Cosmic first. Rushing into DD6 is stupid. Take Apoc, Kang, Vahl, and whatever other 2 and you will cruise through the first 2. I finished the first node in 7 and second in 6 without Big Boy.. Be smart, and not worry about speed.

    I can agree with what you are saying totally, though there is way too much talk around just g18 items. There are many factors in play, gold being the big one and for someone like me to take a tiny widow to lvl 95 just cos she helps with g18, doesn't make sense, not to mention I don't have many of her unique as she takes the same as kestrel. She provides no help anywhere else imo, just an arena team which again for a lot of people they wont have the other 4 levelled either. Weaver and kestrel cost me less as a whole to g18 than black widow would have. This means I can spend into levelling raid teams which helps the alliance in the long run actually get more g18. Weaver will still be helpful for some time in all game modes. QS is nice but he's expensive, I got doom and weaver for 5 sets of g18 mystic which is 1 more than QS and honestly I just have yet to really rely on him. He just sits in CC defense, I don't use him in raids. Maybe he's great and I just haven't got round to noticing haha but he's certainly not as great of a value as 2 characters and he is fine at g17 plus he is dark promos which is another thing to think about. Will all this slow me, yes especially in city now with miasma but I think having Skrull as fast as possible is only great for the top top players (mainly the big spenders/alliances) but for most people he wont be missed until everyone else has him. All in all it is a personal choice and there is no real right or wrong but ofc you only take meta characters. I even took Nemesis, he's amazing at g18 and again like the others, he was already close from unlocking Apoc.

    I agree. Global is simply the Apoc show. You can consider Quicksilver on the second run.
    I don't think you should bother with Doctor Strange in Cosmic though. His cooldowns are not terrific and he doesn't bring much to the table unless someone is dead or the enemies have buffs to flip. I'd recommend instead just grinding for the third mystic gear slot and taking Beta Ray Bill or Sylvie. Either one brings a lot more to the table and they make Vahl better too.

    • @jday662
      @jday662 11 месяцев назад

      I'm almost done with Cosmic. I'm not sure I'd recommend BRB. He feels too slow and every time I need him to stun someone it doesn't land at 7/7. Maybe if he wasn't Raider he'd do better.

    • @docaff
      @docaff 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@jday662 I liked him. Stun aside, he did pretty good damage throughout and had the hidden effect of greatly increasing Vahl's armor. My BRB is also a Raider and the vulnerables he put down helped Vahl (Striker) greatly in getting to her ult more often.
      I managed to clear Cosmic in 3, 3, and 4 hits in the 3 nodes with the Bifrost 1-2 punch doing the lion's share of the work.
      Other members were Photon (good for a couple of rounds but was usually first to die), Kang (great when his ult was cooled), and Cosmo (serviceable with her buff clears, heals, and cleanses).

    Maybe I missed it, but who was the carry for city?
    Also, I don’t know why I don’t hear more ppl (okay, no one besides me) calling out Scopely for the scummy thing they did in dd6. Making a non-horsemen legendary section means you can’t take horsemen into dd6 without taking more than the minimum characters to g18. Imo, it’s complete bs. Those are the legendary characters most of us will already have at g17 and want to take to g18. It was a move in which Scopely went completely out of their way just to screw over players for dd6. It was really petty. Moreover, one of Scopely’s main selling points for dd6 was they were bringing back agency, but dd6 has less agency than dd4 and dd5.

  • @Sawowner
    @Sawowner 11 месяцев назад

    I disagree with your assessment that mystic is the most valuable for dd6. Aside from vahl and ghost rider, no other mystic character is necessary to have a smooth dd6 experience. which in total is only 6 pieces.
    Apo carries global but vahl, kang, photon carries cosmic just as much and ghost rider with bleeds from firestar and synergy with MMHL will carry city as well.
    There is actually no better 3rd mystic choice in dd6 besides weaver.
    If anything, mutant is going to be the most important since you have apo, MMHL, OR, firestar all of which are more or less required for a smooth dd6 experience which adds up to a total of 13 mutant pieces.
    With my current dd6 setup, mystic is actually my leasted used g18 piece with only 198 minis total. The most used is mutant at 286.

      I guess I shouldn’t say most valuable for DD6, just a very valuable trait in general. From what I’ve been told, MLF is on the cusp of being “necessary” for the final section of DD6, so I think it just comes down to getting Skrull faster is how I look at it and I think mystic is a bigger bottleneck. SS is wacked hard by Hawkeye in CC so whats the real point to rush and get him? Weaver is used in all game modes. This nodes are so hard that it takes almost 7 to 10 fights to clear one node. By the time you get to cosmic and city, you should be good.

    • @PathfinderGaming17

    • @EC-ht5og
      @EC-ht5og 11 месяцев назад

      We all have our own opinions. Who said I wasn't getting Skrull quickly? Just saying in general, there are way to many Mystics needed so weaver doesn't hurt. The best city, mystic or mutant, legendary, more mutant and mystic, then you need MLF another mystic. Mutant and Mystic are the most heavily needed toons for this event.
      I am using weaver and she helps a lot. IF ww2, I should have passed on and went with BW but i am on node 3 so who cares at this point. Unless your dropping cores it takes 3 to 5 days each node no matter who you bring.
