About those foam encased fireworks.... Red balls were called Flash Bomb, the black ones called Black Bomb and the grenades were called Grenade Bomb. They are in fact firecrackers and were imported from Macau (Peacock brand) by Phantom Fireworks in the late 1980s. You will find them in their catalogs from that time period. The older ones had a decent firecracker made from newspaper embedded in the foam casing and made quite a mess. The later ones were not as high quality and used a weaker ladyfinger type firecracker.
The green grenades are a firecracker surrounded by foam similar to insulation or also known today as spray foam. They were big back in about 1988.. good video very nice stuff.
It makes me sick that our state dose not allow anything.. Its just bullshit that i cant even collect stuff . But cody you all keep up the cool videos ,,,Its so cool to see stuff like that .And i thank you both for fueling my pyro needs ...Later man .

What is the difference between Horse Head brand and Tiger Head brand? Which is older? Better? More sought after for collectors? And any other info between the two. Thanks!
OK, please, a question about firecrackers such as at 1:09. I recently found a store in Texas selling these retail! I was under the impression that firecrackers in the U.S. are limited/regulated to 54mg flash powder each? I bought four giant rolls of these since I've lit some in China & know how great they can be. These are obviously legal or they wouldn't be for auction or sale. How are these legal?
I like seeing the artwork but I'll never understand not lighting them. It's like the millionaires and the fancy cars they don't drive. Where's the fun? 😋
@@thedarkemissary To each their own. Having something but missing out on the experience won't ever be right in my mind. Had fireworks... didn't light them. Had a fancy car... didn't drive it. I had tickets the show, the game, and to travel the world... didn't use them. Had a beautiful woman for a wife and my dick between my legs... didn't use it. Had a quite the fancy life... didn't live it.

I believe the red eye Black Cat was mid 80's. I have a brick. Never going to bust that 1 open.

Horse is more popular and better in most cases. Tiger is less common but not as good/loud usually

It's just like collecting anything else really; MTG cards, video games, pokémon. It's about "having" them, not "using" them. ;)
I would love to see some in action too, I remember lighting Jumping Jack's horsehead brand and they would fly, crimped ends, great pick ups
