Would it not have been better to use Green Sariel as the association character to provide more debuffs? Obviously you lose damage when hitting crits but I feel like it would've embraced the debuff build more.
Well I need them to cleanse the Merlin debuffs and not the Hel debuffs so the order in which they get the debuffs is pretty important. Could work just might be something to play around with.
have you ever tried using sabunak with echidna? im curios to see how echidna will perform and how much basic stats she will get since the team will be full of aoe

How did they remove Sabunak effect in the first game
Fitoria cleanses all team debuffs on her first turn. So since they went second they cleansed.
there was many times in the video were Hel was disabled but you didn't see it
