TGIF!!! Happy St. Paddy's Day. Never ever been a Titleist wood fan. Enjoy playing some of their, well vintage irons from the 1970's. If I wasn't a persimmon wood player I might give their new drivers a chance but I love my persimmons too much. Keep entertaining and educating us sir!
I got one (10,5°, green Aldila, reg. flex) as a demo club in 2006 and still use it (HCP 16,0) I recently compared it to a Stealth driver and didn't get (much) better distance from that so I'm keeping my old one ;-)
I have that driver 905T but the shaft is proforce v2. It goes in my bag at times I picked it up used a very good driver. Thanks Vintage Golfer for another video.
Just bought a 905r with a graphite design ys-6s+ stiff shaft. Haven’t gotten the chance to hit it yet, but I can’t wait! I play the 904f 3 wood and nothing I try can kick it out of my bag, so I figured I’d give the driver a go. Thanks for making a great video!
I just got back into golf after a few years off. This is still my driver. Played with some pals and hit their new AI Smoke and TSR4. The 905T was longer and felt better. Guess I’ll keep using it.
I still have the 905S around and take it out once in a while. One of the best looking drivers ever imo. It reminds me how bad I am. But when I hit one well, I tend to be able to keep hitting it well. Again, great to see the numbers at the end. Really appreciate this addition to the format. Cheers
I bought one of these last year for cheap with an Aldila NVS orange R and It is my gamer and it feels amazing. Lost no distance and found more fairways than I have in years. I just prefer a smaller driver head probably because I learned to golf with a cut down 3W.
I just came across your channel. I have a 975J, no idea what year it’s from, but I’ve had it forever. Just started playing again after a 20 year plus hiatus, and im using my clubs from back then. Any thoughts on the 975J?
Mr. Vintage- I like that you have used the electronic device to measure hits with this club! It would be great if you could use it on future reviews also, and maybe return to previously tested clubs to see how they measure up on the machine as well. Thanks, Bob
My 905T had the GD YS-6 in regular but it played like a stiff. Loved it but updated to a M6. Big mistake, it was horrible. I currently have a Cobra Speedzone Xtreme with an Aldila Rogue shaft. It feels almost as solid through impact as the 905T.
Titleist was always an elite players brand in my mind, I liked their DCI black irons...the first version, but I just avoided everything Titleist, especially their drivers. One swing with a then new 975 D was all it took, lol!

I have the 905R in 9.5 degree LH with Graphite Design YS6 S-flex. I've hit many good drives with it. I take it out here and there.

Yes, thank you! Newer isn't always better.

I still have our Wii. These are nice drivers. I found a couple and played them time to time.
Another Wii! Those are still fun.

I still game a 905s in 8.5 degree with a blue graf in stiff. If I'm off I'll be in the trees all day. But when things are going well, it's a monster.
The best driver I ever had - still take it out sometimes
I picked one of these up for $10 and i love handing it off to friends and watching them crush it better then their modern drivers

This driver is GOATed
Great video I love watching you
That Grafalloy Blue played stiffer than stated flex…add to that the borethru, the S flex played almost to an X flex.
It does feel very stiff

I am planning on it. Is there one in particular you are thinking of?
@@TheVintageGolfer Mr. Vintage- The ones I'd like to see most are MacGregor woods and Penna woods, but any clubs would be a treat! Thanks, Bob

You should make a vid with the Lynx Boom Boom driver. Good ole Freddy couples
On my list! Thanks for watching
This, and the 905s and the 905r are my regular gamers.
I’m not into the springy feeling modern drivers.
