I use different colors of ht clay and in the bucket of recycling clay very often is going the powder of the glaze of the finishing process. It happens that clay has special glazing effect. I have to reduce the types of clay but. Offcourse the effect of the color is always different. Sometimes I used more black and red, sometimes more white and tabacco. The final result of the recycled clay is a surprise with glaze powder 🎉

I've been watching for about a year or two at this point. I personally like the week-to-week videos. The process of seeing you go through the whole process and then being reminded of the stoneware you've made months later is quite rewarding. I think it is also quite realistic for how the process actually works, even with the delayed gratification. If you wanted to, for some of your experiments, perhaps having a start-to-finish video every once in a while could be nice, but I enjoy your current format.

In a society where I have seen my children learn that almost every material thing is available immediately, and almost everyone is accessible immediately, I love the idea of the wait, and allowing others to learn to tolerate that wait. Personally, I enjoy watching and listening as your story unfolds, rather than simply the story of the item you are creating.

For me, it's the stories you tell about the objects you create and the processes you use that are the key reason I watch.
These stories are a reflection of a real life and honest work, and I would rather not watch life begin to imitate art.
I don't need fancy presentation and gimmicks, your camera work is already great, and your skill is more than enough to provide the action.
So, have us along for the stories you want to tell. These are what we cannot find anywhere else, and - like any other story teller - you have your own way.

About the videos, I truly enjoy how natural they feel in the pace you do, i love the art of pottery and I know this is not the kind of art that is quick and done in a couple of hours, so take your time in doing them, i like the idea of looking foward to the next video to see the final results of your projects, it gives the sensation of "i am also doing this pottery project with you" and it takes time to finish it, i wont be able to see it all done in half an hour too.

I love the weekly uploads. I would hate to not see you working for a month. It's a soothing pace and I love seeing the progression of your pots over a longer period of time. As a person that's been doing this for a year now, it's a more realistic timeline as well. It takes time for each step of the process to be accomplished. Speeding it up feels inauthentic to the true process. Thanks for your videos! They soothe my soul in these troubled times.

Speaking only for myself, I do enjoy the weekly uploads. It’s like a TV series, where we get the conclusion to one topic weeks or maybe months later and in the meantime get to see the beginnings of new projects. Almost like being in the studio and watching you work (without the danger of you being annoyed for having thousands of strangers in your studio, looking over your shoulder).

the way to know the correct amount of videos for an audience is tricky however often the best way is just as life is , even if the order or frequency of videos isn't up to par , just put videos out as often as you can and not even to a full conclusion , its like when you bump into a friend often and though you haven't seen everything they have done in the time past , you can observe the progression in passing , like with these adding metals videos, say you did 10 videos like this with out conclusion , i would still watch , than when the kiln is full and fired with all the different pieces with different metals or different proportions , or different clays , having a season investigation would be an epic conclusion worthy of the wait , in conclusion , you've been doing it right from the beginning and this is just another idea , i love your videos and thankyou for the content , it is appreciated in all capacities

I really appreciate the weekly videos. I am not a dedicated potter; i dabble in multiple art forms, more often fiber arts than any others. I am also multiply disabled, and, more recently due to Long Covid, mostly bed bound. I am learning how to adapt my artistic practices to the necessities of my life. It's very helpful to me, to see how other makers and artists and crafters go about their daily practices, to identify what expectations are realistic.

I like the weekly uploads also. Looking forward to seeing the finished fired pieces. I don’t mind not seeing the finished piece at the end of a video. I watch nearly all of your videos. I also like seeing your experiments. I just wish you were near so I could pick your brain about some of the issues I am having with glazes that I have used for years. I am beginning to think the location of the mines has something to do with the glazes not acting the same.

I rather watch a videos from you being true tu your self than a video for your audience, so kip it on, your are doing a wonderful work.

I like these shorter videos, they are just long enough for me to drink while drinking my morning coffee. An option for those who want to see start to finish would be to create "feature length" videos from the 2 or 3 videos you make - I don't mean re edit them all, but either create a Playlist of the videos, add cards at the end of the video to the next video, or just combine all the videos into a single one and re-upload...
I love watching your videos, and seeing the clumps of clay from the start to finish. I also realize this isn't a process that takes a few hours - you've mentioned it can take weeks or months to start and finish a project.

I started watching after you did the Ramen bowls with Alex. I used to do pottery, then I did wood turning, then life happened. I like to see the process as it unfolds in semi-"real time" but I also like the recap videos you do that summarize multiple videos. My main concerns are about your craft -
The social media aspect helps your business tremendously, but at some point, you could become an entertainer in an algorithm-driven world more than a potter and that has specific psychological stresses.
As you've improved your craft, you've also improved the recording, editing, and final production. At some point, you developed multiple specialties - pottery and cinematography. Which would you like to see improve more?
When it comes time to grow your business - shipping, customer service, videography/photography... Where do you bring in additional help? An apprentice? A video editor? I hope the decisions you make guarantee your ability to work happily, but I also hope whatever you choose allows for both crafts to be honored and grow, but there should be no expectation that your practice is "passed on" to those first employees.
I'd like to see you take more vacations. I'd like to see more coverage of galleries and shows. I also love it when you show other people's work and talk about the quality and technical craft of them. I use your thought processes to consider both my own art, as well as the creative and design aspects of my own professional work.
Sorry for the long comment. I hope you're well and I hope that I can still kick back and enjoy the media you've produced of "making" in a decade.

More frequent. Love watching your process. Also, it rewards checking back in 😊

I think the weekly videos are good, but it would be great if you also posted a video of the full process at the end to appeal to more general viewers.

I'm fairly new to your content, but I am not new to youtube at all. That's not to say I'm any sort of authority, but I've seen many channels come and go. I think one of the traps many creators fall into is making content they think the viewers are interested in instead of making content they are interested in themselves. We started watching because you do cool stuff that we like watching. That stuff all came from your mind, not ours. So my advice would be to do the thing you think you would find most interesting. It will probably be the most interesting thing for us as well, even if we sometimes think we want something else.

I am all for the weekly. I would love a few longer videos here and there. But, like you said, the shorter more frequent catch you being you. That is what we love. However, my more selfish reason for longer videos is my recent endeavor to get back into throwing after 27 years away from the last time I touched clay.

I really enjoy the current schedule you have going on; I think it's more interesting to see the day to day/week to week projects as opposed to a longer chronicle of a month or two of work. But, at the end of the day, it is your decision, and I think we'd all rather see you healthy and happy and churning out content when you can than getting burned out.
