There are alot of people defending this game as if I'm attacking it. I understand some people's concerns, I didn't realise that buying the early access would also give you access to the p.c build, in my defence it doesn't say that on the app. Also a lot of people have said that there will be cross platform play, whilst that is great, there is no evidence.... Yet. I am not opposed to another dinosaur sim game on the market. Anyone who has watched my videos will know that. It's alright to be cautious. I've learnt from past incidents. When people have lost money investing in games such as the aformentioned mesozoica and day of dragons because of videos I've made its made it a lot harder to ignore these things. Hope you guys understand.
There is cross-platform play right now actually! There is a multiplayer server up at the moment of me writing this that has PC and mobile players. They've been running cross-platform tests for a few months now. Just wanted to make a small correction~
Considering the isle started out as a game with a completely scrapped map, only on PC and the only thing you could do is spawn dinos in circles, yea this is actually not bad for an early build. My iPad hates running it tho
I think these Devs are very genuine, they do Dev streams every single day! And they are very vocal to their fanbase, and seem super excited to release what they’re working on
I suggest you look at their RUclips channel and a lot of your questions will be answered. When you buy the app game it gives you the game for both mobile and PC, vice versa. In fact unlike majority of games POT actually has cross play and you don't need to buy the same game for 5 different consoles/systems. The skins you buy are Backer skins and are limited time they're just for supporters who want it. The locked skins are for quests, this is not a survival game it's a survival MMO. You unlock colors and skins as you play. The app store is the same as the PC version, that is a demo and not the game. It's for demo players to give feedback in order to fix issues for the game. Also they can test majority of apple products but sadly android is harder to test because they have too many products but they're trying to optimize to the lowest phone they can so that everyone with a better one can run it. The online play is for server testing and is only open when the devs set up a stress test. Also you can talk to the devs, there have been RUclipsrs who have talked and done interviews with them. They have shown more development in over 50 streams than what The Isle team shows. They are far more secretive than POT. If you want to cover it in a fair way then you should be looking into their websites and their channels. They are just about done with their map and their combat is not ready because they are creating a collision system and it needs to be finished cause combat hinges on it.
whoah an ant I think they said the combat systems will show permanent damage and do different amounts of each body area. Also apparently biting a stego plate would result in losing the plate
Tyrannapus And Friends yes, Kentro and Stegos will lose their plates and spikes during combat! You’ll also be able to have different types of attacks such as tail hit, claw swipe, bite etc
Why I think its great that its available as an app in the app store is for people, mainly kids, who don't have a computer and want to play a dinosaur game with their friends, or people who don't have a beefy computer. I think it's great that they are trying with the cross platforming. Really looking out for the small people who want to play a dinosaur game without a computer. ALSO why you have to pay for it thingy on the app, If you buy the game for your PC, that purchase transfer over to the mobile version too, so you buy it for PC you are also buying it for the mobile, vise-versa with purchasing it on mobile and then being able to play it on PC. It all linked to your Aldreon account.
If you say its vice- versa, then why do we have to pay 30 bucks to download the game in pc if we can just link the mobile paid version to pc version? if thats so, then you mean that theres a free version to download on pc as well and then we could link our mobile version to pc?
Just to clear up any misinformation regarding "deathly stealing code" and other such things, it was an accusation thrown around by dondi because it was developed so fast, that and it makes zero sense for three reasons, 1. deathly made the isles code and deathly alone so it would be hard for him to steal HIS code, 2. if the code was found to be very similar it would be because deathly made the code for both, 3. dondi never provided any evidence for his claims, now I don't want anyone to misunderstand me, I love the isle and it's insanely talented devs but I just can't stand for misinformation being spread because of Chinese whispers and lies, bottom line is if you like dinosaurs, I would highly recommend both games. Also it dosn't have micro transactions, skins are just backer rewards for donating etc so they won't be able to be bought after release. ( EDIT: I forgot about the whole accusation that deathly intentionally fucked up the isle's code so here's a more plausible explanation of what most likely happened: deathly was accused of stealing the code aswell, but when it comes to messing up the code that has its major issues too such as the fact the devs have apologised for bow development was handled before the recode began. That and deathly has also stated that he did not mess up the code on purpose and that what happened was that the new coders that came after him did not follow his notes on how to use his code which resulted in the code getting messed up. Its understandable that you would remain sceptical of this since we cant really take his word for it since noone has any evidence for what happen but the exact same is true for dondi, I would be more inclined to believe deathly be uase he has proved to be a more honest and mature person than dondi and if you've seen enough of dondi streams you will completely understand where I'm comming from. So the most likely thing to have happened is that the code was mishandled and now it's being remade ) I'm really happy to see Beaver cover this game, it's great to see another of my fav channels look at this game, PoT has a massive amount of potential and alot of great features in the works. I also agree that he was not attacking the game, it's always better to be cautious, Deathly himslef will tell people to NOT buy the game if they're felling cautious or anything like that. Also to anyone think beaver was too hard on this game or anything, just keep in mind the we've been through the scams/disasters of both Mesozoica and DoD so he has good reason to be cautious of a new kick stater game, luckily if you do abit of digging you can find their twitch channel, discord, YT channel which are all very very very very very very VERY transparent. anyway hope this will help some people find more info on the game c: PoT website: pathoftitans.com/ PoT twitter: twitter.com/pathoftitans?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor RUclips: ruclips.net/channel/UCKh94J0iBzBvUTIYfemXUAg PoT Discord link: discord.gg/pathoftitans PoT Twitch: www.twitch.tv/alderongames
Mentioned that in a comment as well, I just think that this whole video, and Beaver's approach and view of the game, would be different if he would've done a bit of research on it instead of going in misinformed. Bit of a shame. Anyway, very well said! Hope your comment gets upvoted more :]
If we are just clearing up things, as a software engineer I can tell you this: there's no such a thing as YOUR code. That code you write, legally belongs to the company you are working for. :) When this game finally comes out and I see good reviews about it, I'm going to buy it, because it looks promising.
Also I would like to add that I'm not saying deathly would be allowed or right to copy paste code from the isle in PoT, just that I do not see how it would make sense for him to do so.
I love this video. Hearing your thoughts and reasoning behind everything was really interesting. This is the first time I've seen someone pointing out the potential issues with this game. All I've heard is "CoOl nEW dInoSAur GaME, beTtEr thAn ThE iSLe". I think you're stance on it is really fair and I found it quite eye-opening. I'm curious about this game, I hope it is going to come to fruition and be as good as everyone is hoping it to be and then I'm very much looking forward to trying it and seeing you play this game as well :)
It's also better to understand that the game is not the same as The Isle. The Isle is hardcore survival while POT is survival MMO. That's why the skins are locked because he hasn't completed any quests, which are in the demo that's why he was getting "coins".
@@onyx4469 any way one wants to say it is fine but the Isle isn't an MMO and even with the Survival aspect of POT it's more forgiving than the hardcore survival of Isle. Ones straight survival the other is MMO.
Yes, I didn't know about the code stealing(?)I do enjoy POT and by watching there streams you can tell that they're models are original, unlike some games *cough cough* Day of Dragons *cough cough*
Samuel Currass To Be honest, I’m almost like you in that respect, and I’ve already paid the 15 dollars for the game to both support the devs and not have to pay it later, POT seems promising and is already better than the Isle in some aspects, like fishing which is actually fun and requires attention, I don’t even know if or when the Isle will have fishing
Writing this as I watch. I may be a tad biased since I backed this game on kickstarter and play the demo occasionally: First - You can see the developers create everything live every week. Sometimes daily. They are very in touch with their backers. Something I also feel you should know is that the developers are constantly working with great modders in order to figure out the best way to give modders full access to the game assets. The Path of Titans really want to give modders the freedom to create new maps, new dinosaurs and new in-game events in order for the players to really make the game their own. Secondly, I say this with the utmost respect: I think you are being a bit harsh on this game due to previous bad experiences. I understand why, but like you said, you have gone from trying not to be biased to being a bit biased due to unproven rumours. Perhaps a good middle ground can be found somewhere in between the two? I feel like the rumours caused you to not research the game properly, which is a shame :/ 1. There are no multiplayer servers available because the servers are only open every now and then for testing purposes. When this happens, they announce it on Discord. The game has not even been released in early access yet. Only as a Demo, so that people can see what they are doing. 2. The games costs 22 dollars. A fair price, really. I bought the PC version and thus got the new mobile version as a freebie. I think you get the PC-version if you buy the mobile version but don´t quote me on that 3. You can only pick a few dinos in-game right now because the game is only in demo mode :) Early/pre-release is later this year. 4. All dinosaur skins can be unlocked with in-game points, which you get for doing quests and earning achievements. These skins CAN NOT be bought with real money except for one (1) backer skin pr. Dino that you can buy. The backer-skin (which is a variant of orange and black no matter the dino) are really just an in-game option for people who want to support the games development further. People like me who supported their kickstarter got most of these skins as a kickstarter bonus. I get why this is setting off your micro-transaction alarms, but be assured that this is the only micro-transaction they have at all. Everything else is only unlocked with in-game points, and these points cannot be bought - they must be earned through gameplay. 5. Being able to play on mobile fulfilled the wishes of lots of backers. I for one really wanted mobile access so I can play the game on the bus and such. But it´s okay if you do not like the mobile version :) People like different game genres and platforms too. 6. The attack button does not work because they have no attack animations in the game yet. Most of them are done though! You can follow the game designer’s trough streams every week, so you can tell how far along they are, and see them create the actual assets, animations and such. If you want to know more about the dino models, the person who created the base-models has extensive details about them on their deviantart page. 7. It is slow on a phone because the game has not yet been optimized yet ^_^ Still pre-early-access. I think the app is mostly for us backers and for test purposes right now. 8. When customizing in the demo, just touch the dino and drag it a bit to turn it so you can see the head and such. This works on PC so it should work on Ipad/phone as well. 9. The Isle has done their VERY best to throw dirt at the developer who left and spread a lot of rumors, which is apparently not that unusual for them? Anyways, the other side of the story is this: The developer did not "leave with the code" he just left because he would like to see the game develop one way and the Isle is dead set on being well... what the isle is now. He left and since none of the team could figure out how to code his way, they got stuck. They got someone new but that person apparently disliked the old code enough to not want to touch it at all - I have heard from so many Isle players that the code was so "bad" that the poor Isle team had to start from scratch (so... it was just fine before, but now that the person who wrote it left, the code is "bad"?) and here we are. Now the Isle can do their thing as a semi-horror survival game while the Path of Titans are developing to be a friendly survival game heavily focused on quests. The developers are constantly in touch with backers and we see them on an almost daily basis either in-game, on discord or trough their many streams where you can see them create and develop assets live. 10. Thank you for the video!
@@ameermeqbel5250 Hi. I think that you may have replied to the wrong post on accident? I dont think anyone is begging for likes on this page - especially not me since I wrote 1. a wall of text which people usually never read because... too long! and 2. It is adressed mostly to the youtuber. Hope you find the right post and have a lovely day.
Little Pinch of Ginger oh trust me I know for sure you did this for likes (btw I’m not using an other acc to support me I use different accounts on different devices)
The Health, Thirst and Hunger don’t decrease because it is a work in progress, so is the attack. Also there is a pc version so you could get a better experience there.
1:26 If you bought the game on PC, all you need to do is log in with your account and you get the mobile version for free. Also, Beaver at 15:43 imma just correct you, you *can’t* buy skins with real money, they’re all unlocked through gameplay and the devs have said MANY times that there will be NO microtransactions (the only reason they’re there on mobile, is to preorder/buy the full game and the backer skins) everything else is not pay to win (even though skins aren’t “pay to win” the devs still said they don’t want to do that.
Oh ok it just looked like that on the surface lol I'm not paying much attention to what the Devs say I'm just waiting for the game so I wouldn't have known that lol I'm glad they don't want to be micro-transactions galore ha ha
Well it's not quite correct, you could and still can buy skins with real money. The "no microtransactions" rule will only come into effect once the game has been released to the public, as all microtransactions so far were intended for raising funds and promoted as such.
Im not going to demote anything that you've said, all fair points, but idk if you should entire believe the whole "they stole code and ran off" thing. Dondi said the exact same thing about Beasts of Bermuda, and that was just nonsense.
I haven't heard anything about BoB stealing The Isle's code. I know that there was a video where Dondi offered to give them a base of The Isle's code so they could start their own game, but I'm fairly certain they declined.
@@skywise8 There's no source because it was bogus, but Dondi cried that at the time of BoB's release like he did with PoT. Hence why I'm skeptical of the "the game stole my code ree" that some people are saying.
this mobile version is a lite version of the demo so more people get to know the game. The 23$ upgrade gives you acces to the game on pc too and you wont have to buy it when it comes out! Also, the low fps are because its pretty early in development. And the attacks dont do anything because the combat system is being worked on. I would highly suggest making an interview or something like this with the devs so they can explain everyuthing!!
@@bo7923 Im not saying that would make the game better. There is a lot of stuff that Beaver said in this video that is missinformation, and talking to the devs would clarify all that
@@skywise8 no one said that they were defending DOD? Unless you're calling this demo a tech demo? Which is free, unlike DOD, and this demo already does better... their stuff is actually theirs lol. The 23$ purchase gets you 2 copies of the game. One for Mobile and one for PC, which is extremely nice of POT to do because it's a huge problem right now where game companies are downright scamming people out of money because you have to buy a game for each separate platform. Whereas with POT, one 23$ purchase gets you the game on all systems.
4:24 Beaver: It feels like 10 fps, it's really slow Me: Mwahahahaha!!!!! Welcome to my world of gaming!!!!.......except worse cause my average is 5.....
not trying to be rude, but... like you said you need to do more research because there are many things your leaving out, etc. and i think your showing a negative side of this game more than a positive side. again sorry im not trying to be rude
All I'll say is do abit of research and look at their youtube & Discord channel's to see how much work they've been putting in. You'll find answers to your questions like combat, assets, fall damage and quests. Another good place to start is tyrannical simmo's Q & A videos. Maybe reach out to them yourself? I'm sure they'll love that. I do completely understand the cautious approach though because of experiences with other games. And the whole The Isle thing? I don't think we'll ever know the truth tbh. Plus another thing that others have mentioned is the fact you can buy it once and get versions for both PC and mobile. Access to the demo/testing (which this is essentially) and pre-release. Depending on the bundle.
Beaver I feel like your one of the only dinotubers to actually learn from your mistakes. I’m glad there are people like you that actually look into the “future” and you understand if something is sketchy.
Omgosh! This is the earliest I've ever been one of your videos! This app is really cool! I think I'll download it! Last week I went out on my driveway in an inflatable Blue the Velociraptor costume holding a sign that I made saying, " Don't Go Extinct Wash Your Hands!" People honked, waved, and one elderly couple stopped to take a picture of me for their dinosaur-loving grandson! It made me so happy! I thought that you would like to know! Also, tomorrow is National Velociraptor Awareness Day! So excited! Have an amazing day!
It would be cool if you did an update on this game and played it on pc. They just released a massive update featuring a new playable Styracosaurus, functional collision, new quest items, new mods, whole map playable (with some restrictions ) and a minimap. All dinosaurs can also pick up and carry fish (aka steal from the suchos and spoons >:D) Edit: all dinosaurs now also have precise movement, meaning you can walk sideways, backwards and turn in place by pressing X
the game (demo) has updated quite a lot in 2 months.. where you can now play multiplayer all the time and you have attack, hunger, thirst. (i play it all the time on my pc.) Path of Titans also has a discord where you can ask questions and they keep you updated on the development on the game, but still great video ^-^
Path of Titans is admittedly a little barebones right now but a lot is planned to improve the game and progress is being made at a pretty good pace. I’d love to see you do a Q&A with the devs on a multiplayer session.
I think types of videos like these where it's just beaver talking about games the things he likes and the things he doesn't are actually really funny to watch and I personally think he should make more of em not alot of em but all the time just like once every few months
I sincerely hope you do cover PoT on your channel as much as The Isle or JWE. I honestly think it has loads of promise. I know I'll be coverin' it for sure.
This game does show promise, but at the same time it could sadly go down like mesozoica. Although this may not have been your most exciting video Beaver, it's nice to see you being honest about a game.
I'm glad you spoke one very important thing when it comes to indie games like this. It is WISER to not back games that are not at a stage that you find acceptable yet. This goes for Early Access Steam games as well. If it's not at the stage you find enjoyable from coverage, or don't want to take a risk with a Kickstarter or Indigogo, just DON'T do it. If you DO, then it is entirely on YOU to have taken the risk. So you NEED to just take your loss if a promised game doesn't end up turning out for whatever reason. Which means you need to drop this hate for Mesozoica. You did look like fools, but you chose to take the risk to look like one by backing it. None of this kicking and screaming and pretending you were misled when it was you own dang fault for sticking yourself in that situation to begin with. Be mature about your investment. No one leaves a casino angry at the casino if they lost all their money gambling there. So in that sense, everyone, please...no more hate towards indie games with small or new dev teams. It is ultimately up to YOU if you want to take risks with these games, and you are fully capable yourself to do research and not rely on the youtubers to do it for you. They will not always tell you the entire truth, and their decisions should not influence your own. If you wanna give PoT a shot, despite it's lead coder having dropped from two other project and taking the code with them? Go ahead if you think it'll be worth the risk. If not, leave it alone and go play something else. Hating on a game that isn't finished just isn't cool or mature to do, even if there is evidence of high risk if you support it financially before it's done. Anyway, Beaver, I'm glad you did this video. I don't like some of what you said, but at least you are giving games with controversy a chance. I like seeing your more neutral take on controversial games. I would love for you to cover Day of Dragons (should you see fit) when it's 0.10 update comes (that's when the dragon models get into the game). But like any game, do your research from BOTH sides first before you choose to cover any game in more detail. Buying not finished games on the premise of 'promises' is a risk, and will always be a risk. We just have to be mature about how we deal with it should the risk not pay off. (which is just...take it and move on. No pitching fits like a child that I've seen many people do to other unfinished games).
I agree too, I have a feeling he'll give this game another chance because it does look promising, I think it would be really helpful and inclusive to have a game compatible with both mobile and PC. He has done a review on Day on Dragons but ran into the problems most people are running into it. The main one being that the developers don't seem to put any heart in it and the community wasn't pleased that they weren't communicating their progress or lack there of.
Anna Corinne he didn’t do a DoD review. Not in my opinion anyway. It’s far outdated by now if what he did counts (I don’t count it cuz it’s outdated and with false info). But it’s best he waits anyway for when DoD doesn’t have its placeholders anymore. Which Will hopefully be by this years end if not sooner.
@@UltimateTH Just out of curiousness, why do you say it's far outdated? Did something happen in the last half a year I'm unaware of because he made a video on Days of Dragons just 6 months ago? I hope the developer did more with it, it seemed promising.
@@fallingfromheaven99 There have been improvements to the game since Beaver 'reviewed' it. A lot happens in 6 months. A.I got added to hunt, roaring in the sky...But nothing major juuuust yet. The next update slated to hit (sometime in Summer or earlier we are hoping) will be adding tons to the game, like nesting, alpha and elemental unlocking, better flight controls, new maps to explore...basically everything it's promised outside of the models not being replaced just yet. But their animator was finally hired, a triple A animator who worked for Disney. You'll hear about the update I'm sure once it drops, but for now, best to wait until it does before we do anything.
HOLY CRAP I NEVER THOUGHT HE WOULD PLAY THIS. Beaver pls play the pc version it's so much better. I can't believe you played the game I've been waiting for for over a year now... Maybe this will make it more popular.
I don't get why you didn't just visit the discord or, hell, even just the website and dev blog, to read up on this game. If you'd have done that, most questions and concerns you mentioned in the video would be answered. But like this, you went in misinformed and oblivious. If you don't like reading up on that much info, you could've also simply asked someone from the discord as well. You'd know it's not even released yet, that it's on the app store because it's literally a demo. A test run. They just recently added mobile support. You mentioned there's "no evidence" of cross platform play... while PC and mobile players are playing together on the same servers right now. Taking a look at the FAQ, site or discord would've also helped your mistrust and paranoia about it all. There's updates, fixes, progress and dev streams pretty much daily. I've been there from the very beginning of development, which is going forward rapidly and at a high quality. Something I don't see a lot. Seeing those updates, the work and the passion behind the project, I wouldn't even think of comparing it to Mesozoica or Day of Dragons. Again, not sure why you didn't research or played the more optimised PC version of it. If it's because you're scared about losing $20, they offer refunds at any time with no strings attached. Pre-release has recently been announced for September 2020, btw. It's deffo worth checking out properly and further...
Beaves, ya must learn the ways. xD It‘s very early Demo. The game will be much better soon, Path of Titans discord has a lot of the information you might want too know. A lot of the dinos aren‘t added yet, there will be three different versions of each that you will be able too play in the near future. If you get the game for the PC, you‘ll be able too play on both your phone/tablet & your PC. I do recommend you ask in their discord so you can find out more & I know you love dinosaur games, Beaves.
I think this is an intresting game to try when it comes out for everyone. I'm currently playing another mobile game, LOE (life on earth) and it's really good! Its not a simulation game but I'm having much fun evolving extint species from the beginning of life and forward. Just a tip if you want a game to try right now!
path of titans has been going quite strong lately, new content released monthly, cross-platform between mobile and PC, very active devs who are willing to talk to the community and a pretty active, if confusing, community. Kickstarters can be iffy, but this game came out of the gate running and it hasn't really slowed down or disappointed yet.
Im sure people have mentioned this, but it's going to be cross platform so people who don't have a gaming pc or a console, can still play with their friends.
It's interesting listening to James' disenchanted attitude towards this game, knowing that all of his doubts and concerns, at least as of 2024, have been met with a positive outcome. The short of it is that Path of Titans ended up being a fun game that won james over!!
@@skalare4492 I wouldn't say positive. Just less pessimistic than Beaver was being about this version of the App game. It makes sense from a marketing point of view so I understand why'd they stay away from Beaver at the start. But tbh now they have enough content and promising videos of streams of progress on models and maps, features etc to back up all their claims and hopefully give Beaver a more positive outlook on the game. I was very let down with this video tbh. PoT has come so far since this time now too. So I'd love Beaver to do a follow on, preferably on the PC version so he can try out Spino and Sucho, and even the awesome Styraco. Theres a lot to praise about this game now and I'm very happy to hear they're pushing to get this on consoles too. First dinosaur simulator game to be on every playable device with cross platform? Yes please lmao.
So playing it currently. It has gotten much better, and servers are more active. Ive run into a number of live players trying to escape my spino. Movement is more polished than it seems in here, and my note 10+ is processing the graphics very well. The price has gone down as well. 14.99 for all access.
Glad you played the demo and really wish you’d have looked into... some of the things you stated a bit more (drama and behind the scenes) and had shared only facts not rumors and opinions on the subjects talked about. Could have given this game a more positive out look and you could have not compared it to The Isle to begin with. It took away from the gaming experience and I felt you talked more about the drama and less about the demo itself (it isn’t a game yet which is why there is so little to begin with, I’d love to show some people what the isle used to be lmao) but all in all when more comes out on Path Of Titans I and many more would love to see you play it. Very pleasing to the eye to watch and is very relaxing.
Hey Beaver, Hope you are Fine, I really appreciate your content, but I think that in this video you ended up showing only a small part of the game and missing a lot of important information about it, it ends up doing what the The thousands of people watching you have a limited and "bad" idea of the game, which has much more to show than was shown in the video. I would really love a video showing in fact all the Information and facts about the game itself. Also keep with the Nice videos XD
Ok, Beaver, i'm Glad You Play it,and i know that is only a previa of the real Game that's is going in development. But in a really closet future , this Game would be a GREAT series to your channel when the tome comes, we will wait. Oh , and also there is an Android version coming to the Play Store that they're working on. So that's all, i hope this Game retorns as GLORIOUS AS IT IS WITH THE REAL GRÁFICS and i hope you would enjoy it when it comes better . Thanks for reading this and until nextime, bye. Oh, and also i really can't wait for LITTE NIGTHMARES 2, i hope you play it soon. Ok now Bye.
Before anyone starts trying to make comparisons, please remember that these are two completely different Games. One will offer a Dinosaur Simulation Experience, and the other a Hardcore Survival experience with Horror Elements. Let's not start an argument storm in the comments please, these games can co-exist!
I think you should give this game another look. Especially with the recent pedophile controversy with one of the Isle devs, and his friend the lead dev that tried to hide it. Not only does this game make frequent dev streams, but they have finished mechanics that the Isle promised years ago, such as swimming with semi-aquatics, and hunting and eating fish. I just think it's worth another look. Maybe from the PC version this time. Edit: My two favorite features are actually, being able to run down hills, without yeeting yourself into suicide and falling from a few feet and not dying. Like some games, we know.
I just got the game a few days ago, they are moving quickly with this game, and by September it should be guaranteed playable, maybe you can do a video on it
Probably wanted to cover the game as it is without all the drama. He even says that’s what he tries to do in the video. Nothing wrong with making a first impression clear.
@@Trigger__Happy should have tried to actually talk about the games future and buy the game on PC. The thing is, when somebody as big as Beaver talks uninformed crap about an up-and-coming dinosaur game, the majority of opinions on the game will turn to negative.
The reason why Spinosaurus "looks similar" to The Isle's model is that they're both based on the exact same animal, Beaver. Not to mention Path of Titans Spinosaurus is more accurate to the current knowledge we have about the dinosaur than the one in the Isle. You're one of my favourite RUclipsrs, but I'm extremely disappointed by just how biased you were in this video. You kept implying assets were stolen and generally negative things about the game and its developers and it's just... disappointing. There were also so many gaps in your knowledge on the game, gaps that could have easily been filled if you joined the Discord or watched the development videos in advance of playing the game. I hope you will give the PC version a shot, but I genuinely think you let "The Isle" nostalgia go to your head in this case, and rather than clear up misinformation about the developers and the game you just furthered it by adding in your own opinion with very little evidence to back it up. I'm sorry if this sounds rude, I genuinely am. I'm just a little disheartened by the way you spoke about this game and the general tone of this video.
It worked fine on my phone and I was in a server with 98 people. I honestly think this is a great game for people like me who can't play The Isle and other Steam games. It's also still in development so the reason why there are upgrades are expensive.
Whohooo finally I've been supporting Path of Titans since 2 month after they said there making a game, and now my favorite youtuber is playing it. Ps play it on the pc it's better graphics and more playable demos
The God Peep it’s a demo, the full game in September (it’s also the free version, the 20ish dollar payment is a preorder). If you buy it on one platform you get it on both (if you link your account) as it’s also cross platform.
Tyrannapus And Friends I thought he handled it very fairly and I agree with him mostly. A lot of the drama is still a shot in the dark, we don’t know the whole story either way. I’m not defending POT or the isle, but I can see why someone would see the game as sketchy, especially since there have been so many other game flops like day of dragons recently.
@@tyrannapusandfriends6254 But if you buy it on mobile, you won't have the pc version. I already asked that to dev while he was streaming. It's only for if you bought the pc version, then the mobile it's free
I mean the game was also able to be on console which is cool and yes there is controversy bc one of the devs for the isle went on to make his own dinosaur games but it truly can be a good dinosaur game bc it has a lot of potential if they don’t make it a cash and grab, but ppl are making a lot of assumptions bc it’s a dinosaur game which isn’t a fair assumption just bc it’s a dinosaur game.
Like the honest opinions on this Beaver thank you! People think you're misinformed and such but to be honest I think they have too much favoritism towards certain things so they defend this game too harshly. You didnt make any harsh criticisms and actually gave many complements and were just expressing some doubts thats all. Glad to hear an honestly not blinded person speak up so I dont blindly rush into something without truly thinking about it again.

@@tyrannapusandfriends6254 yeah Jiggy, their modeler and animator, made the Stego and Kentro plates detachable.
Tyrannapus And Friends yes, Kentro and Stegos will lose their plates and spikes during combat! You’ll also be able to have different types of attacks such as tail hit, claw swipe, bite etc
Imagine being a tiny dino and you see a massively battle scarred dino walking past you
Tyrannapus And Friends that Dino would be a true survivor, most people would probably look at the scars and then decide not to hunt it.

( EDIT: I forgot about the whole accusation that deathly intentionally fucked up the isle's code so here's a more plausible explanation of what most likely happened:
deathly was accused of stealing the code aswell, but when it comes to messing up the code that has its major issues too such as the fact the devs have apologised for bow development was handled before the recode began.
So the most likely thing to have happened is that the code was mishandled and now it's being remade )
I'm really happy to see Beaver cover this game, it's great to see another of my fav channels look at this game, PoT has a massive amount of potential and alot of great features in the works.
I also agree that he was not attacking the game, it's always better to be cautious, Deathly himslef will tell people to NOT buy the game if they're felling cautious or anything like that.
Also to anyone think beaver was too hard on this game or anything, just keep in mind the we've been through the scams/disasters of both Mesozoica and DoD so he has good reason to be cautious of a new kick stater game, luckily if you do abit of digging you can find their twitch channel, discord, YT channel which are all very very very very very very VERY transparent. anyway hope this will help some people find more info on the game c:

Writing this as I watch. I may be a tad biased since I backed this game on kickstarter and play the demo occasionally:
First - You can see the developers create everything live every week.
I feel like the rumours caused you to not research the game properly, which is a shame :/
I think you get the PC-version if you buy the mobile version but don´t quote me on that
3. You can only pick a few dinos in-game right now because the game is only in demo mode :)
Early/pre-release is later this year.

I'm not paying much attention to what the Devs say I'm just waiting for the game so I wouldn't have known that lol I'm glad they don't want to be micro-transactions galore ha ha
Well it's not quite correct, you could and still can buy skins with real money. The "no microtransactions" rule will only come into effect once the game has been released to the public, as all microtransactions so far were intended for raising funds and promoted as such.

Good video, beaver, love from Philippines 🇵🇭
12:38 This Developer get fired by Dondi
Honestly, the mobile version is low budget, but everyone would agree to the PS4 version
Beaves, ya must learn the ways. xD
It‘s very early Demo.
It already is cross-platform between mobile and PC.
1:42 OH MY GOD HES PLAYING THE MUSIC. SPAWN LAKE FLASHBACKS ALL AROUND

Me an intellectual: watches entire jurassic world the game series
It's interesting listening to James' disenchanted attitude towards this game, knowing that all of his doubts and concerns, at least as of 2024, have been met with a positive outcome.
The short of it is that Path of Titans ended up being a fun game that won james over!!
The game looks amazing I’m really looking forward for it

Download just Start After 2 Minutes from the Video 😜😂
Beaver I want to say something I may have a lot of favorite RUclipsrs but out of all of them you're your my favorite out of all of them.
Interview the devs they would love to talk with you about the game I’m sure
Nah, so far they're only chosen to let themselves be interviewed by "positive" people from what I've seen.
PLZ MORE ISLE VIDS! btw luv ur vids:)
I think it's only in the app store for testing purposes.
Yeah, that’s what they are doing. I’m quite sure they said that in a couple of streams.
Love the ps1 jp music in the bk, very nostalgic
Finally he played path of titans!
So playing it currently. It has gotten much better, and servers are more active. Ive run into a number of live players trying to escape my spino. Movement is more polished than it seems in here, and my note 10+ is processing the graphics very well. The price has gone down as well. 14.99 for all access.
"Oo a... Whatever it is."
"Oh that's all there is"
*Not even a millisecond later*
"OH"
"That's All There Is ._."
Ok now Bye.
My god the game looks good already, I hope it’s good.

Like some games, we know.
it’s looking like a real game

I love it.

Do it again but the computer version cause I heard that the entire map is playable
As soon as the video starts there is already 5 dislikes, how is it even possible to dislike this
Lesson learnt: do not play a game until it’s fully out and people really like it or else you might lose a lot of money
I just got the game a few days ago, they are moving quickly with this game, and by September it should be guaranteed playable, maybe you can do a video on it
The game isn’t fully functional yet, and once it is made it will we a lot like the isle but with quests, and I also heard that Deathlyrage was fired.
Hay saw u talked to goz I sponsored him and I love that u help smaller Dino youtubers
The biggest dinosaur youtuber that does 0 effort into researching a new game that in a short amount of time has almost as much content as The Isle.
Probably wanted to cover the game as it is without all the drama. He even says that’s what he tries to do in the video. Nothing wrong with making a first impression clear.
Thats not as much content. Only saw the video and the isle will get big updates probably soon.
@@Trigger__Happy should have tried to actually talk about the games future and buy the game on PC.
The thing is, when somebody as big as Beaver talks uninformed crap about an up-and-coming dinosaur game, the majority of opinions on the game will turn to negative.
Hello gaming beaver you're my favorite RUclipsr and also you're really cool and I can't believe this happened like six hours ago this is so cool
This is really... (Runs into a tree and forgets what he's going to say) this looks better than the Robloxs one.

Beaver please play path of titans on pc
I haven’t watched you in like in a year
I have to say you haven’t changed
Every time I join a server people are literally just spam roaring, standing around doing nothing at all, teabagging, and stealing mushrooms
And this is different than the Isle how? XD

The God Peep it’s a demo, the full game in September (it’s also the free version, the 20ish dollar payment is a preorder). If you buy it on one platform you get it on both (if you link your account) as it’s also cross platform.
It just a joke dud
The God Peep ok mate, it’s just the video had a lot of misinformation, so just checking

And bc it’s a dinosaur game ppl are assuming it’s a direct copy

Like the honest opinions on this Beaver thank you! People think you're misinformed and such but to be honest I think they have too much favoritism towards certain things so they defend this game too harshly. You didnt make any harsh criticisms and actually gave many complements and were just expressing some doubts thats all. Glad to hear an honestly not blinded person speak up so I dont blindly rush into something without truly thinking about it again.
