First off thank you for these videos! They’ve made a big difference in my programs! I’ve finished the whole tutorial but when I try to add more tests it messes up the trend reports. I can’t figure out how to fix it.

Coach, I have a large number of athletes. Is it possible to filter the athletes names by their sport on the KPI Dashboard to find athletes easier? In excel, I'm able to use the INDIRECT function within Data Validation, but with Google Sheets it won't let me. I've added a dropdown box for Sport on the KPI Dashboard and now trying to figure out how to make ONLY the athletes for the sport I select, show up in the drop down box in B3. THANKS!

Thanks for this coach! When I’m transferring data and tests, is it important to keep dates in a specific order? Also, there are many times when the date only has 1 test, so there are many empty cells. Is that ok?
1 yes unless you want to build sort functions into ur formula 2 yes no problem you could modify for your needs and have other data tabs if you wanted but empty cells are ok

Hi dan without seeing your sheet it is hard for me to troubleshoot for you. I assure you though that if you have followed the steps the formulas do work as intended. Make sure there are matches in your data, or that you dont have multiple matches for the variables you are trying to return etc. Thank you for watching

What is the easiest way for me to convert my current data(from google sheets) into the data page? For example, if I only have a Fly10yd from a particular group of 15 baseball players on, say "2020-02-04", will I leave all of the other data blank?

on the data tab you only use 3 names and a lot of stats/dates. I have 18 athletes. I have to list each one with all those dates?? I'm only "testing" them 3-4 times a semester. so do i need dates of test for each individual athlete??

I could.. Curious why you would prefer to use excel over Google sheet? The problem with excel is there are many versions between years, and operating systems and they all work a little differently

from what you are explaining you shouldnt need to do an array formula for this.. simple vlookup should be enough

Yep that should work! Best advise is put ur dates in order as well you can use a sort function.

Looks like you have commas between f4 they shouldn't be there

i havent made this particular dashboard in excel. But excel handles arrays much better with things like filter etc.
