That's a beautiful Strat! Bought my son an American Professional II roasted pine with maple fretboard last year for his 18th birthday. Since then, his skills just sky rocketed as he keeps on playing a lot and practices a lot. A good investment. 😍
I just found your channel, love your playing dude. That Pine Strat is insane... You're right about that middle pickup being the best. I just bought an American Performer, but now I'm pining over your Stratocaster.
Hi John, nice video. beautiful guitar with really characteristic Strat sounds. Is this the same pinewood Fender uses for the JB Pro II? And can you explain (reading the text above) which sort of pine this is? Thanks again and keep it up!
I've had a few strats in my collection but only for business as my a collector and they were only to resell but just a few weeks ago out of 6 in the store a friend of mine owns I tried them all but one of them just spoke to me and it's going be a keeper it did something that I just wanted really bad & traded for an 80's sg plus a home stereo amp. & I have to say now im proud strat owner for my clean sound amongst a few gretchs. especially out of 7 different ones I tried pine ones I actually fell in love with the thing. 🙌👌
So you did not really talk about the type of Pine or the process they go through to make it more resilient even though it is kind of mentioned in the writeup for the video. So is this Red Pine? Because, yes I am one that is concerned about the guitar looking like it has been through a war zone in a few years if it is typical soft pine.
@lucalorenzetti9905 Is the MESA known for a darker tone? Or how does the amp figure in your comment? (I just got a Mesa Mark V, but I’m new to electrics after playing acoustics for decades, so I don’t actually know much on general, nor about my new amp specifically.) So, any insight and info would be appreciated!

Great Demo Jon .
I have to agree about pine - I have a pine Tele and I love it. I have other Teles, but the pine one is my go to.
Does it have any sustain?

I'll find out for you today and get back with you. This specific guitar plays great, had me thinking thoughts of "what can I sell to buy it" LOL!

So you're talking about this one?
Great playing
How is thos guitar on small handed players?
Esta pintada con nitro arriba de la madera ?
I got this guitar a month ago. I'm not finding any uses for the push-push tones. They are more of a tone killer than anything else.

It wont look like its been through a war zone as long as you know how to take care of it. Its like anything else.
Didn't catch what amp and amp settings you are using
good for metal ?
If your playing in e standard yes! I own the humbucker pro am and it is a thrash metal machine.
What’s the mess you are using? Thanks.
No pasa nada con el roasted pine ... prefiero el alder
It sounds dark and completely dead. It reminds me of an old Mexican Strat with bar magnet pick ups.
You are in need of an ear adjustment because these sound awesome o have a telecaster one and I’m thinking about getting the strat as well
This guitar just does not have a lot of Strat sounds ... sorry.
Okay boomer
Have you seen the amp? it is a MESA
Very dumb.
@GOODTARGETBARTZ I'm a boomer and I agree w you!
