This is such a hard decision... I had a black iPhone 3G, and I really liked it. But now that I'm upgrading, I really want the 3GS in white. Thanks for the video- it helped a lot in determining which would fair better in my lifestyle!

Very nice video, my congrats. I have the black, a friend has the white. I love both of them. When I preordered mine, i had never seen a white one in person, so i was pretty confident. Now it'd be a super hard choice.
they both smudge up the same amount. However, you can see it better on the black one due to the black colour absorbing all light, and the white colour reflecting light. In other words, you see smudges on black easier than white because your fingerprint is a lighter colour, making it more visible on a darker background.

I bought the black iPhone 3G S because they didn't have any white ones, but I am taking my black one next week simply because the black gets extremely greasy after holding it in you hand and you can't see anything on the black one. Good Call. Both are beautiful, nod goes to white if you are a scratch/smudge nazi like myself.
There is also another "minus" for white one's ==> after a while, you get "yellow stripes" on the back, because of the battery getting too hot. It's only issue with 3gs so far, as I've heard.

Actually, this is pretty weird, but I noticed that the White iPhone overall has a better build quality. Call me insane, but the back on the white one feels so much smoother, and the screen glass feels smoother too. And, the most obnoxious this is that the screen on the White one is a better. The colors are more vibrant and the blacks are deeper.
I don't know if this has been said, but both iPhones get scratched and smugged equally the same. The black iPhone just shows them more. White conceals them. Illusions.

With so many cases existing...don't struggle too much, or be sad if you only got the black (8gb) when you wanted white...the're not that expensive and some are quite fun...and also better to scratch a case then the iPhone itself.
Not really. You've heard wrong. Mine is white 32GB. It's working perfectly. It only gets warm when I use memory like playing data consuming games and so on. It doesn't get so hot till it's painful to hold it in the hand.

that thing is sweet... the compass! i recommend white because it stays cleaner and looks sick.

I still have and use my White 3GS 32GB, now for almost 3.5 years, I just buy a new battery and it works perfect.

I think that the iphone 3gs is more pretty on the back than the newer models. But the newer models are nice them to.

at rogers in canada you can get the 16gb it is 199 and the 32gb for 299 and they both come in white or black

I'm a girl and I'm using black! Truth is I love white better than black but still black is good!! I give 50% for both! =]
Another down side to the white iPhone is that it gets dirtier easily just from being in your pocket but with the black one you cant see if it is dirty

im pretty sure they wont, considering you have a serial number assigned to the iphone, which specifies what type it is.
