ENC seems to be really good when there isn't a ton of noise. When there is, it sounds a bit more nasally. However, a simple EQ can fix that. Great review David!
When will the next version be released that has 32bit recording, and wireless file transfer to iOS, and time code generator, while maintaining its current price point?
@@freyafoxmusic If you don't have a hotshoe/coldshoe mount, I'd either recommend getting a camera cage for a neat solution or... you may just have to use something like gaff tape to tape it onto your camera 😬
Does the receiver have a way of acting as a USB audio interface? - How secure is the wind shield attachment (these always fall off on my Rode Wireless 1!)?
Not sure what you mean by the first part, as in to use as a USB audio interface for mics on a desktop? Because it can only pair to the wireless lav, which can have any mic plugged into the 3.5mm jack on it, so… sorta? As for the wind shield, it’s attached via friction by a rubber cap mount so relatively secure (I could bike or run with it on without it falling off)
@@DavidZhou I mean can you use a USB-C cable to connect the receiver to your laptop. On Rode/DJI your OS sees it as an external USB mic, so you don't need to use 3.5mm to connect to a laptop. That's very useful as you get perfect audio without adjusting levels and it powers the mic while in use.
I just bought this Lark Max duo, why the internal recording volume is very low when I import to FCPX? and every i press the rec button on transmitter, I can hear very low sound like a "tikitikitikitkitkitkikk"

Great content bro, quick question, what will be best volume setting if u were vlogging in the city? And what volume setting did u have it on whilst testing?
Thanks! I had the cameras volume at 5 and the mics volume at 0 (since it goes +/- 10, it’s the default) and recorded using Safety Track mode with the safety being set to -10dB in case anything is too loud that I record. Then bump up the volume in post a little to get your desired volume 😁
Hollyland mic definitely catches a bit more muffling than DJI. Sounds like the Hollyland may have a bit better dynamics in the mid-range for vocals though.
The hollyland lark max is amazing!!! I got them when they came out and they are insane!

Agreed, and thanks!
In Czechia the almost $190 difference between the Wireless Pro and Lark MAX makes it a pretty solid choice. Thanks for this revew!

My guess? In 6-12 months. But that’s just my best guess.
@@totoroutes5389 it will be 350 dollars that time
Bro, where is the music from the beginning that shit is awesome
Audiio! Honestly a great selection of songs on there :)
@@DavidZhou they actually just hit me up for like an ambassador deal…. Interesting.
Experimenting with different pacing for these videos, let me know what you think! :)
The rode wireless pro comes with lav mics as well. I end up spending 329 plus 140 with the DJI for the same accessories.
I just bought the Holly land love it
Still my current favorite compared to other mics
@@DavidZhou ya but how tf do you mount it? There’s no 1/4 screw. I just have it hanging off
@@freyafoxmusic I clip it onto either the hotshoe mount on my camera (or a cold shoe mount on my camera cage)!

@DigiDriftZone ah, got it, yes! You can connect the receiver via USB-C to USB-C (or USB-A I believe), and use the system as an external mic

Adjust the mic gain through the receiver menu first if it’s coming through quietly! Unsure about the noise you’re hearing from the transmitter though…

Have you tried turning on Noise cancellation on just using the trx alone no recv? Mine does not activate on a stand alone recording setup

So, I’m confused between Lark 150 and max. Any suggestions??
Max is a better buy! The audio quality is just superior and the extra features (like noise cancellation) are super useful :)
where is the TOUCHSCREEN show off?!
Juts out of curiosity, Are those reviewers aware that it's better to do the noise concellation test somewhere noisy? or they just don't care

Too low volume recording. Noise is insane if i put in 10 of gain. Very mediocre mics.
