This issue of Mahdi is an interesting one. Muslims most muslims won't accept the Mahdi. The Mahdi will form his Jamaat but he can't join any of these sects.
Salam brothers l guess this may be the first time the brother is translating but please next time provide the other brother who did the Dajjaal talk translate as he is much more experienced and this will provide a better experience for Habeeb. We shouldn't take the kindness of Habeeb for granted. The better the translator, the better the talk will flow. If the translator is always struggling each time trying to get the words out, then Habeeb will forget his next few lines. Sometimes Habeeb felt a bit uncomfortable you can tell, but didn't want to say anything. I'm not trying to insult the brother by any way shape or form. Did a good job, but bring someone to make easy job please next time brothers.

Because remember there's also a hadeeth which says if there was one day left of this world then Allaah SWT would expand this day so much so as to make the coming of the Mahdi happen. I think what this means is that when people will think that the Judgement Day is so close, Allaah SWT will make a day (day to Allaah = 500 yrs in our timescale) expand so much so as to wait for the Imaam Mahdi. Therefore this means that it won't be at least another 500yrs before the coming of Imaam but Allaah SWT knows best ofc. These are just our thoughts.
I find the translator to do a good job. We should be patient and grateful that the brother is translating. He's doing a service for the ummah and is serving Allah. Make dua that he Allah improves his skills.
Sheikh has been translating for Habib in sg, he did a wonderful job here while in Sg, he is not just a translator but also an eminent Islamic scholar well known in Sg.
