My dad is a retired police officer. He told me if I am ever followed to lead them to the police department. Once they figure out where you're going, they'll leave you alone. Do not get out of your car, pull close to the door as you can, and lay on your horn until the police come out keep doors locked until the police handle the situation if they follow to the police department. NEVER GO HOME you don't show, then where you live. Just a tip.
I think that sometimes desperation leads to aggression.
A mother and teenaged daughter who lives in my area left their home and noticed a man sitting in a truck watching them leave. He was not from the neighborhood. He followed them to the store. He parked in the same aisle they did and watched them enter the store. He followed them all around the store. When they tried to evade him he would find them in every aisle. They asked the employees of the store to please walk them to their car. Police were called but never showed up. They tried to get a picture of him and his vehicle but were shaking so bad the picture turned out blurry. When he saw them with the employee he got into his truck and stared at them as they were leaving. Finally he peeled out and did donuts with his truck in the parking lot. They drove home and were carefully watching to be sure he didn't follow them home. He did not. Still makes you uncomfortable. They went to their local police department and filed a report. Keep your head on a swivel. I would have drove straight to the police station right away.

They often work in pairs. They will case a house. One will follow you when you go out and let the burglar robbing your home know when you are heading back home.
If you ever get followed by somebody in the car headed for the nearest police department, you either lose them.
Oh my goodness, that is absolutely horrifying. One night I was going home from work and a guy was following me. I went past my neighborhood and drove to the police station. The car stopped following me as I got close to the Police Station, Praise the good Lord above. With a bear as long as I have a pewpew, but I prefer to go out with my husband because safety in numbers is how I was raised.

I worked at truck stop in Oklahoma. When the driver enters code and goes into the shower/ bathroom the shower system shows the shower is in use. When the door is opened it shows show needs to be cleaned. Well if they were running in and out to check on laundry or get snacks drinks ect. We also had door latches and locks on the inside of the shower/bathroom. Fool me once lol. WTH did they not lock the door who knows. I would bang hard and yell housekeeping. Still no answer. Full me twice. I can't tell u how many I walked in on. Not fun and I hid in back until driver left. Why??? Just why. I am no longer able to work due to health. I loved my driver's just not that much.
