Oh my goodness! I'm barely into the 15th minute of Mr Ross' lecture and I'm getting goose bumps!! I've grown up a Christian but now in my mature years as i try to find some connectivity between God and the real world I'm searching and reading and listening.... and it's absolutely amazing...!! How can anyone who is blessed with the intelligence to study and understand anything scientific not believe in God??!!! Universe can be misleading when it means all that there is because in string theory the support for a multiverse has been gaining traction within the scientific community. There can't be more than something that represents all that there is, and it explains why you wouldn't find terminology like the universe within the book of genesis. The bible perfectly describes eternity and infinity as it relates to gods salvation obtained through Jesus Christ. The bible coincides with the advancements in science which are discussed accurately in Hugh Ross's lectures and only strengthens all faith in Christianity.
He said that Biblical Hebrew, I'm assuming he just means the Hebrew language, he says there's 3000 words and English has 4,000,000. I looked it up and Hebrew has 80,000 words and English is 750,000-1,000,000. So I don't really see the point he made about the word 'Day' being any different then 24 hours at the moment. I suppose we need to analyze what the Hebrew word for day used several times in Genesis actually means. I get his way of perceiving how 'Day' is used within the sentence to give a concept of time outside of 24 hours, but it still seems pretty fast and loose at this point.

What was the Earth rotating/spinning/wobbling around prior to the Sun being created on day 4? And how come Joshua didn't tell the Earth to "stop moving", in Joshua 10:12 KJV? There is no verse in the KJV Holy Bible, that says Earth is a "planet".

He also made the stars.
