Also I think when the game tells you got new worker it is telling you that you got an additional worker that you can hire (also you will notice that that the star rating of workers you can hire has gone up, you used to have half star worker now you just have full 1-star workers for hire)

If you throw a few items from the truck to the side, the sorter might not pick them up. If so, you could have him sort all but a few items, then throw one item in, sort, and repeat a few times to get the 10 sorting easily.
You don't really need to worry about the locked rooms, their contents doesn't count towards the completion of the area. The completion graphs don't go up when throw in stuff from those rooms.
Maybe there"s a money-reputation trade-off wrt contracts? The generous $600 metal negotiation happened to be on a zero-days-left contract (so they were probably getting desperate).
You keep being scared the client will walk away from a deal. the worst that can happen is they stop bargaining and say "I can't lower the price any more" Start high and soak them down for every penny without fear!
I wish there was a way where you got penalized if you try to over/under cut the price they are offering too much, either reputation loss or they start offering lower/higher than they orginally did
Its a very short game....after you put up all the tier 3 machines the game is basicly done besides reaching lvl 21. Not saying its a bad game but the playtime is short. And after the tier 3 machines are done the game becomes repetetive.

I recommend bargaining your contract deals. Going for a 20-30% increase will net you plenty of extra cash.

The recycling containers are good the npcs bring in trash and use it. It's not a big amount but it does add up.

You can fluff the advanced sorting one easily, just fire your guy,
Then load single items into the machine and you manually sort them, it still counts
I think you can sort 10 times with 1-2 items every time. This way will be much faster to unlock the advanced sorting option.

If you buy the robot, once you fill a pallet and mark it, the robot will move the pallet to storage for you.
