It was a great day, after the rain dried the day I went. I wish I was there when all the cars were on the block. I missed the Bugatti go for sale. Dang!
I'm extremely happy I didn't go.. rather than getting caught up on bidding for over priced classics I ended up driving up to northern California 427 miles and brought back a fully restored 66 eldorado in just flawless condition which coat me 45k. That's more than half from the one that sold at Barrett.. also found 69 rs ss and 70 chevelle SS both in number 2 condition for a whopping 72k.. already have offers for the 69 exceeding 90k.. win win..
Congrats on your 66 Eldorado. Prices here was really interesting. I expected the 89 supercharged Toyota MR2 to go for around $25k seeing as it was in excellent condition and under 20K miles. Final price ended up being a bit over $50k!!! On the other hand, there were many mid 2000 Bentley Continentals that hammered for far less than the MR2. There were definitely some surprises and head scratchers price-wise.
