01:15 Create Arduino Cloud Account
03:07 Remote Sketchbook
06:14 Pull sketches
09:07 Push sketches
10:58 What to avoid
Got all my sketches in iCloud, same thing, works brilliantly, no need for extra cloud accounts
Nice!
Many thanks for explaining this feature. It looks pretty straight forward to me. Definitely an option to be considered.
Thanks so much for watching!
I started with Arduino web editor Dec 2022 (and cloud), and have never used any desktop installation. I love it and the flexibility even though otherwise I never use the cloud in any other way. The only downside I have experienced (other than having a limit of 25 free compiles per day) is that a few weeks ago my AVG anti-virus (and the Microsoft Defender) picked up something in the Arduino web editor agent. Arduino found the same issue (ie they replicated it, it wasn't just me) turns out it was a false positive in the AVG anti-virus. AVG resolved it (maybe with the help of Arduino IT support - they were VERY good) but I was basically shut down for 10 days waiting for the resolution. So being dependent on the cloud and web editor has risks.
Wow - you make a great point Stevem. Thanks for adding!
I didn't realize the web editor freemium plan was limited to 25 compiles a day.
@@programmingelectronics Yeah that seems to be the default free plan. I think you can pay and get an upgrade. I can live with 25, it just means you need to think more and plan better.
Sounds interessting. But I dont like a Cloud Solution for every Application. I find it better to select one Cloud for all the needs. I use Google Drive, but the free one is very limited in space.
Interesting perspective Pippo!
Arduino web editor does NOT seem to support loading to or even detecting CH340G USB chipped Arduino Nano units. Someone seems to have forgotten that they still use the same microprocessor AND that open source means that there are legally no "fake" arduino boards. Forum members do not seem interested in this problem. Buy a few cheap boards to mess up, then a few good ones to get it right... it's OPEN SOURCE, people!
theres something as github lol
Yes, GitHub is pretty useful.
GitHub has the most obscure funky interface I’ve ever seen, every time I use it I feel frustrated. It’s like when programmers try to write documentation
Sounds good for classroom support, pretty useless for anything else.
they just want to steal your code
ROFLMAO!!! ChatGPT.... I rest my case
