This is actually quite sad if you think about it, he even tried changing his entire personality for the player, all he wants is someone, anyone, to talk to. Imagine if you where him, stuck in this never ending cycle, when you finally see someone who's also stuck in that cycle, whether they are aware of that cycle or not. Someone you can finally talk to. And in ending 6, this really shows, if I was him I'd go insane too, just wanting one friend, just someone to talk to, I swear id give him a hug rn if I could

I would honestly prefer having doe over Peter because even if the poor boy is unhinged and mentally and physically sick, he just doesn’t want to be alone and abandoned by himself in the game. He just wants love and accompany even when love turns into an obsession since nobody is really there as he is stuck in the game. Peter is more of a clingy type with a more different personality than doe. He also has different traits as well. Peter also sees you as a claimable object while doe sees you as a loving gf/bf that will remove his loneliness. Yes I know, I’m not saying doe is better than Peter or that I hate Peter, even if Peter has control, I’m just saying from my perspective I like doe a lot more than Peter.
You are right. Most of the gameplay with Peter is like same of real life events. Plus I think John doe is better since he understands you and not forcing type how Peter seems or controlling. I think John doe should get more attention then Peter himself has already.
Not only that, one thing doe does that peter doesn't is that doe actually tries to better himself for you. While Peter just tries the same thing over and over.

I really like that you can see Doe's hair and eye hidden around the backgrounds in the "normal" doe story lines, a really cool touch!

Yes he's strange and at first glance looks like a maniac, but basically he doesn't really do anything wrong, he just wants to be needed and not alone, so he's definitely better than Piter, who treats you like an object for intimacy and manipulates you.

The Abandoned ending hits really close for me, ngl. I feel that despair and pain of being scared of being left alone, doing anything just to be loved, BECOMING anything just so you wouldn't end up all by yourself again. This ending hurts me in more ways than one.

If y’all haven’t realized, he keeps changing how he looks(this is mid video) probably to get us to fall in love with him or accept him.
He's messed up. Like, he would like to be accepted by others, but he doesn't want to be accepted, because he feels like a piece of garbage. And he is.
He would like to be better is, yet being unable to do so. Always afraid, so it is easier to pretend to be someone else. The problem is that he does not have much to give at all, and he knows it. Somehow you look at the backgrounds and know where you are, even if there was no context. The slight details make you feel like your in a weird reality, but somehow you know where you are. It really adds to the creepiness. This is honestly a really impressive game! 👍

I only followed Peter's game, but in a search for photos of him I ended up finding Doe and out of curiosity, I came to see about it. I think I like (the new version) much more of Doe than I do of Peter. But initially he just seemed like a total psychopath for no reason, but with the update, you can see that he just wants to be loved, which brought me empathy and affection for him.
