I'm a big fan of Kai, but to have your UFC debut be a title fight is crazy. Would've liked to see him get at least one warm up fight to get acclimated to fighting in a cage again. But best of luck to him. He's an incredible fighter and has all the potential to be a UFC star.

If this is the Kai who comes in and fight Pantoja, he’s getting absolutely bodied. Archuleta is nowhere near the UFC level and should have been a pretty easy fight for Kai. The problem is he is wild and gets hurt a lot. Pantoja has really good boxing and he will take his back in a scramble. The only way I see Kai winning the fight is if he gets a quick knockout.

Yeah Pantoja is gonna murder this guy. He lunges into punches, has terrible striking defense and just moves back with his head up, and gets taken down way too much. Pantoja is a horrible match up for him.
Pantoja is decent on the feet but not on Asakura level, Asakura is a Striker. Pantoja's Endurance, Durability and Grappling however, i believe is more elite and above Asakura
Kai is very wary of Pantoja's grappling. So, the big point is that Kai can't concentrate 100% on strikes. As can see, Kai weakness is defense, and Pantoja's speedy rush will likely cause them to confuse and lose. Kai surprised by flyweight speed. I think the key to his win is the "jab".
Archuleta was impressive here. I am surprised that he was just as fast if not faster than Kai, closing distance better and more accurate in their exchanges... especially with their age difference.

To be fair he was countering and landing pretty well throughout the fight, but with Juan weighing in 10 lbs over he was a lot more durable than he otherwise would have been. Kai's shots weren't as punishing as they usually would have been to someone his actual size.

良い機会で海の試合見返してるけど、結構被弾するのが気になる。
見えててスリッピングアウェーとかブロッキングしてるならまだしも普通にタイミング合わされたり、カウンター合わせる時にそのままの態勢だからか先に被弾してしまってる場面とかわりと結構な数ありましたね。
