Distinguishing yourself as a member in the army of God
Joel 2:2-7
The metaphor used to describe the army of God is like horses.
There are four kinds of houses described.
Race horse, show horse, wild horse- stallion, war horse.
This is a revelation of the army of God.
Verse 7, they shall march everyone on his ways- they are impeccable, however, even though they are part of a team, each one of them know the gates of which they were appointed.
In order to distinguish yourself from GOD’s army, you need to know your appointed place, how are you different from the next person sitting close to you?
1 Corinth 12- the issue of gift.
Stem of the scripture, 1 Corinthians 12:4
There are diversities of administrations, gifts, operations, but it is the same GOD. All in all.
Our diversity is critical in the army of GOD
Our diversities are our saving grace. There are different possibilities tied to your identity. The principle of the body of Christ is INTERDEPENDENCE and not INDEPENDENCE
There are different types of graces flowing through the army of God, God loves the idea of diversity.
Your clearance level,
The measure, nature of anointing, and assignment is part of your identity.
You can be a part of a team and not know your identity,
It is easy to hide under the shadows of a productive team.
You are cheating the body of Christ if you don’t know your identity.
Each and every one of us must maximise the grace of God given to us.
John 1:23
John received a revelation about his own ministry, but unfortunately, there was more to him than what he received.
John’s father had an encounter before he was born that he was going to operate in the Elijah’s power and spirit. (Luke 1:17) But his father did not tell him. So his identity issue was revealed in john 10:41.
God will not tell you what he told your spiritual father.
John fulfilled what God spoke to him but not his full scope of his assignment revealed by his father. John walked in the spirit of Elijah but not the power of Elijah
The things of the kingdom is not available easily, you need to seek them.
You need to do your assignment
Your service may be different from your assignment
You may be in a group but not fulfilling your assignment.
There are people who don’t eat or drink for 17 days and pray.
When you know your assignment, you don’t know what “competition” is. Competition doesn’t make sense to you. There are people, assigned to pray for people.
The fact that you have more anointing than someone, it doesn’t mean you have the same authority he has,
The characteristic of the end time army is that they DON’T BREAK RANKS!
Galatians 2:8
There was a grace at work in Peter, the emphasis was to the gentiles, he, Peter found his assignment.
Each and every one of us must know our assignment.
You won’t know how much cooperate rank will result if everyone attend to their duties and assignment.
The issue of assignment is critical- it determines the allocation of the Grace of God in your life.
More grace=more ability= more responsibilities, but the assignment itself does not change
You are only the one that can persecute that assignment so that is why there is no basis for competition
There was a challenge, in Colossians 1:23
When you press into God, you will realise what you are raised to solve. God does not have favourites, but intimates,
If you stay long enough, you will know your brand.
You assignment is part of your identity
You need to know the nature of your enablement,
God himself is the energy that enables you to do any assignment he gives you
Grace is not a thing.
Grace is God made available to swallow up our incapacities and insufficiencies.
The difference between the early church was not in the title, but in the measure of grace.
GRACE.
1 Timothy 2:7
The grace of God in your life will give you a new identity.
The people that they influence your life, you can partake on their grace upon their life. Identity and grace of God is not separable.
The loudest thing in your life in Paul is not a preacher but a teacher. There is a way you release your unction.
You either release it like a preacher or a teacher.
How about your own life,
When you have a burden in your heart, how does it come out? Does it come out like in form of proclamations, to motivate people to stand in line or
Does it come out in a form of teaching, it’s logical, in-sequential, you don’t determine that, it is determined by the grace of God in your life.
The portrait of the grace of God in your life is manifested when you mature in your ordination.
When we know our assignments, it gives us insight to the kind of grace we need. When we begin to prosecute the assignment, the measure of God’s grace begins to be released to us and departs from our identity.
Some people are called to build. Some people are sensitive to scriptures and the word of God.
The software of a builder, begins to release scriptures when they pray.
What is your strength?
When you begin to grow in God, there is a fullness that God brings you into!
But you know the branch and the stem in which you are derived from.
The best concordance is the scripture in which the Holy Spirit generates in your heart!
As you move in on God, he begins to add. But that substance is your identity, it shapes you, and if you grow in it, you can never be dry.
You can have the same oil, but it can be functioning in your life in a different measure, your measure in which you walk in determines your authority level.
2 kings 2:9-10
Double portion- it means that Grace is in measures
When you have a measure of grace added to you, it is because God considers you faithful, so he wants to give you more capacity for more responsibility. Promotion means more responsibility.
Your level of your coverage, reach will increase as your grace increases.
If you are willing to sacrifice in order to see that God is pleased, God will take notice of you and your measure will be increased.
You capacity, competences,capabilities also increase as your measure increases.
Some functions will just switch on because there is an increase in measure.
The only way God will increase your measure is because of your faithfulness.
God needs to profit from you in order to increase your measure.
What makes a man relevant is not publicity but your MEASURE.
Even if you don’t have publicity, when your measure increases, you will come out of the woods!
You can even be in the desert. Just be bringing faithfulness, a time comes, SOMETHING WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE SPIRIT and people will come from all places
JUST BRING FAITHFULNESS TO THE TABLE.
God can show you many other things, when you are fasting and praying, keep praying and fasting, don’t give up. It just means when your car breaks down, you add fuel into your car and you continue.

To the one who is criticising this groaning. If you say this is not a correct groaning it means that the Holy Spirit can be decided by man on how to groan.
The HOLY Spirit is not regulated by man's utterence but He is the one who brings utterence using man's voice.
Let God do a new thing.
I believe this is season for this type of groaning.

a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was of old nor ever will be in ages to come.

Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste-- nothing escapes them.

They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry.

With a noise like that of chariots they leap over the mountaintops, like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle.

At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale.

They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course.

They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead. They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks.

They rush upon the city; they run along the wall. They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows.

Before them the earth shakes, the sky trembles, the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine.

The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty are those who obey his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

`Even now,` declares the LORD, `return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.`

Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.
14
Who knows? He may turn and have pity and leave behind a blessing-- grain offerings and drink offerings for the LORD your God.
15
Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a holy fast, call a sacred assembly.
16
Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.
17
Let the priests, who minister before the LORD, weep between the temple porch and the altar. Let them say, `Spare your people, O LORD. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, `Where is their God?'`

Then the LORD will be jealous for his land and take pity on his people.
19
The LORD will reply [1] to them: `I am sending you grain, new wine and oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations.
20
`I will drive the northern army far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land, with its front columns going into the eastern sea [2] and those in the rear into the western sea. [3] And its stench will go up; its smell will rise.` Surely he has done great things. [4]
21
Be not afraid, O land; be glad and rejoice. Surely the LORD has done great things.
22
Be not afraid, O wild animals, for the open pastures are becoming green. The trees are bearing their fruit; the fig tree and the vine yield their riches.
23
Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. [5] He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
24
The threshing floors will be filled with grain; the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
25
`I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten-- the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm [6] -- my great army that I sent among you.
26
You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed.
27
Then you will know that I am in Israel, that I am the LORD your God, and that there is no other; never again will my people be shamed.
28
`And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
29
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
30
I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke.
31
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
32
And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the survivors whom the LORD calls.
