this is like seeing a the most advanced military hardware doing a classic ballet dance in 15k ft in the sky! magnificent piece of work! gives Jet fighters a new artistic prospective!
both Sukhoi and Mikoyan are todays best fighter the only difference between them is that sukhoi is used more as a strike aircraft and it's heavier and the migs are small light and dependable. and don't listen to other people no american plane can take this things down. there is no compter that can beat russian maneuvers and russian engineering. Masterpiece.
the Su-37 was actually cancled, but the Su-35 has all the same systems as the Su-37 and IS in production so... and also Russia is soon to release the Su-50
@MajSolo First Su-27 version in 1977 is that T-1 with ogival wings and the tailfins inboard of the engines. They were not happy with it at all. So 1977 really does not count , it is just a year when they had "something flying". Since the T-1 is so far off from from the perfected aircraft and the final version that was fielded in 1984. It is more correct to use the years when development was finnished and the aircraft approved for mass production. Aerodynamically the Su-27 is great IMHO.
@MajSolo Unless Wikipedia has something terribly wrong, the Su-27 and the F-15 first flew in 1972 and 1977 respectively. The Su-27 entered service later, but it is just an indication of a more powerful US economy, and the gap there is only 5 years. Soviet aricraft were much more rugged in terms of maitenance and support overall, which IMO is a serious advantage in war. But today, the US is definetly ahead, though by how much it is difficult to tell.
@Shurryy Funny, Russian wikipedia article notes one was lost; the english one doesn't mention it, and also says it has 3d thrust vectoring and is moving into production (the latter is very likely in accurate; last prototype was made in 2002). Indeed, I had the SU-35BM in mind; didn't know this one also crashed(?) in '02.
@T90SVladimir No according to WIKI F15 devlopment started in 1967, it first flew in 1972, and entered service in 1976 according to Wiki, but I read it reached service in 1975, and I have given that figure earlier and it has been confirmed. So service in the airforce is 1975 or if you prefer 1976 for the F15. The Sue went through a number of transformations and reached frontal aviation in 1984. Wiki does not say when devlopment started but that first version flew in 1977, final version in 1984
@Shurryy I believe it was an Su-35 that crashed. As far as the Su-37: its too expensive while not having stealth technology. To take advantage of stealth, all you need to do is fly. To take advantage of this advanced maneuvorability, you need very well-trained pilots, which are generally hard to come by.
@MajSolo It was not just Sukhoi involved in the development, the CCCP government had they own engineers, I don't remember how to spell it "SIBNIAA" or something like that, they did a lot of work and allready knew some basic stuff about how Mig29/Su27 fighters needed to look to perform. But then u need a aircraft company to weld it together, put wing on it and wheels, missiles and bombs and so on, that is the industrys responsiblity. CCCP government did a lot of work and helped with problems.
@Shurryy Yeah, the Russian article may have more credibility. But its the English one that noted the production; I seriously doubt it since nothing has been made for 8 years. The Russian MOD is concentrating on the Mig-35 (also 3d TV, plus other advances), and particularly on the T-50 PAK FA (3d TV as well, new powerplant, excellent electronics), along with its navalized variant, to enter service on the enlarged Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier (overhaul scheduled from 2012 to 2018-2020).
@blagna212 No, they removed the training squadron in 2006, the some in 2007, and the last in 2008, they are not all scrapped, but nobody is flying them anymore... F-22's maintenance problems are not that much if you look at it in a diffrent way: It takes 20 hours.... this means that 20 men can do it in one hour. @blagna212 Think of it this way: at the time the serbian radar came out, radars were very common, at the time of the F-117, stealth was a completely new thing... the SAM that shot it down was not 60 years old, the SA-3 is from the 60'es, therefore only 50 years old... and the F-117 is actually 30 years old... that is only an age diffrence of 20 years... Detection range of 0,01 m2 of irbis-e = 90 km. The F-117 is out of service, it has a RCS of 0,025 m2. The F-22 is a marble, 0,0001 m2.
@T90SVladimir don't matter much. The SU30 and upwards is still based on an old perfect airframe. The old Su-27 even, is a few percent better than the F15, a few percent, and now we are only talking about the airframe. The Su-27 flew in 1984, the F15 in 1975. So realize that U.S. is ahead in every field when it comes to aircraft.
@blagna212 No, i am talking about the UCAV's. As for the F-35, it is a very good aircraft, just too expensive, good thing is they can make a fallback on the Superhornet.
I'm talking about machine gun and rifle fire being able to knock a out the Raptor. The designers themselves said this. I just think that planes like the F-16 or Mig-29 are better than ones such as the F-22 on the basis of survivability, maneuverability, and feasibility in a real wartime scenario. I hold to my opinions. And that's that pilot skill is 10x more important than how high-tech an aircraft is or who makes it.
Our top military engineers said the exact same thing before Vietnam when the F-4 was designed, they got blown out of the sky daily as a result of not being maneuverable or having guns. And not a single F-22 has, or ever will see, combat in current opps. If you took a Raptor and flew it at the level of current air-to-ground sorties it could easily be spotted and shot down from the ground. And it would be more vulnerable than other aircraft because of the lack of armor.
"Ovaj avion je tako reci produkt hladnog rata" Internet is practically product from cold war just as this plane but Internet and this plane are awesome, without any of those two things we could not watch this vid :)
@blagna212 Ehrmm, these tests were IN the 90'es... when Luftwaffe got DDR's MiG-29's... about the F-117... it flew 1000 sorties over the MOST heavy guarded airspace, it was only shot down once, that is pretty remarkable since it was the FIRST "stealth" aircraft. no other aircraft could have done the same thing, that is why they would not send F-16's or F-15E's... if it flew over the enemy with one loss, a thousand times, then it is pretty damn good. + where is the russian stealth aircraft?
@blagna212 Remember to read other comment as well. No, the F-22 required 30 hours in 2004. - In 2009 it was 20 hours, and with the second highest combat readiness of all figthers... if the Raptor can beat F.15 in 2 vs.16 scenarios then it can easily replace the 750 F-15's 750 / 187 = 4,010 ----> That me to ans the raptor is allowed to require 4 times as many mechanics as the F-15... Su-35 is a 4+ gen, the BACKBONE, the F-22 is the ELITE 5. gen. You would not fight a militia with SEAL's.
@blagna212 now you put your words in my mouth... i have never compared the two military budgets... i was pointing out that a SAM system from the 60'es is probably pretty cheap to maintain... 1 out of 1000 in the most heavy guarded airspace... that is a pretty good score, i mean the stealth design worked, so there is no doubt the F-117 was a succes... You cant say it was a fail because one got shot down... then we could say that the MiG-29 was a MAJOR disaster since it cant shoot down the F-16.
@blagna212 Well the project of 900 F-22's was cancelled, that is also because we are not in the cold war anymore... There is 187 in service, doing the task which the 750 F-15's did. You are wrong if you say Piece of pie, the S-400 has a range of 400 kms, (take consideration of horizon) mountains, as well as the sea can block radar... it can track "stealthy" aircraft at 100 km range, that is a Superhornet or a EF-2000. now imagine how close a Raptor can get if a F-18E can get within 100km...
@ES350ES350 F-16/18/(15) is not expensive in use, the Flanker is the same as F-15 and Su-30MKI is a pain in the ass to maintain for the Indians. The MiG-29 is cheap, but it is outclassed in combatagainst the F-16. The MiG-29 has been shot several times down by F-16's and F-16 has no A-A losses...
@blagna212 The X-47's will be far more stealthy than the F-22, but will probably only be using air-to-ground weapons, (could be used to knock out S-400) maybe they will also use Aim-120 or JDRADM. They missiles can fly over the horizon yes, but if it is alone without anybody in front of it, they got a problem... there might AWACS, but how would they see a F-22?
ok first things first, a strafing run is when you do shoot with the Cannon (jep that old piece of shellthrowing junk) at ground forces otherwise its an ground attack or bomb run. A run is always into the target and the egress not when you stay away from the target and AGMs need something to lock on, ever tried lock a man? Sides the problem with your reasoning is that you usually need a run in for each target, for proper indentification and to satisfy the employement parametres for the weapon.
@blagna212 "Because it was developped to do so, in more than one mode" yep, and that is blown WAY out of proportion aswell, what you are saying is that i am wrong because i use a number given by out by US officials, but you say something that comes from the developers aswell... The capabilities of the S-400 is also is "blown out of proportion". Northern Edge exercises: Raptor had a kill ratio of 108:0 against F-15, F-16, and F-18... - They where the 999 of the 1 of 1000...
@blagna212 ok, but does that prove otherwise that the mig-29 has shot down F-16'es. Actually, the old DDR MiG-29's which were handed to luftwaffe in 1991 flew against F-16's in simulated dogfights, and won almost everytime they flew, UNTIL the F-16's became capable with the Aim-120. then the mig-29's could not get to fight in close range because they were shot down before that could happen.
Lokk at exhaust , it is designed in USSR and ther is a film on youtube about it, aerodinamic form is the same. F35 used moder materials , thats all diferens.
@MajSolo Wiki SibNIA No one has written any article on this russian reasearch lab yet. I would like to know how much work on aircraft they have done through history,
@blagna212 It was the first aircraft intended to be invisible to radar... that is a fact sir, + it is not invisible when it has open weapon bays... who says that the AA system was not maintained? + i would think that a AA system required less maintenance than a figther... "Tracks" is the wrong word, it only happened a single time. + it was unable to shoot it down. Russian officials actually even claim that the PAK-FA is going to be less stealthy than the F-22...
@tramvaj12 Umm, right, first of all The Su-37 was a tech demonstrator not a figther aircraft... so how could be better than any American jet in service, when itself is not in use?
@blagna212 "I know that fact hurts but better for your camp to just forget about" - that is an example of you getting personal instead of using arguments. When i tell you the "1 to 1000" you keep saying the same thing as in your first comment. Ok, so if the Americans Copied the stealth drawings why did the russians not make stealth aircraft themselves? Aviationwide, russia has a big pile of copies: Sidewinder - AA-2 Atoll F-111 - Su-24 B-1 - Tu-144 B-29 - Tu-4 XB-70 - T-4 cncord - tu144
@blagna212 When the F-117 flew against saddam husseins armies (in 1991, and 2003) - you would not call them "insurgents" would you? we are talking an army with MiG-29's, T-72's, and a hefty number of SAM's and AAA. The PAK-FA is not in service yet, so we cant say it counts as a stealth aircraft, it might be stealth, but is it flying with the RAM on?
@blagna212 Tell me where you have read they lied... the project was not cancelled, the production was just halted at 187 aircraft which will be in service to 2050 + the F-117 has a RCS of 0.025 m2... so how can the B-2 have a a RCS that is 0,02? and how is this possible when it is said that it has 50 % of the RCS of the F-117? And how would the S-400 track it at 400 km when it can only track "stealthy" targets at 100 km? (superhornet, ef-2000, dasault rafale)? I can back up all my facts...
@MajSolo You can also google for GosNIIAS I think they also had something to do with the development of the Su.27. Then go buy some books and learn how perfectly the air flow around that aircraft body.
@blagna212 Well i can tell you that the F-117 is far from being my favourite aircraft... The 1:1000 is actually much higher since it flew 1300 missions just in the gulf war... There would be no reason to fly with this aircraft if it was not because you would be detected... If you fly >1000 times and you only get picked up on radar a SINGLE time then the radars are pretty inferior to it... If Russia really thought stealth dosent matter then why do think that they are developing the PAK-FA?
Noro letalo.
See, planes like the JAS-36 are 100x more feasible than the Raptor. As for Russia, their 5th Generation fighter, the Sukhoi PAK FA, only cost $50,000,000. And the current Mig-29M variants that the Russians use have multiple target lock-on capabilities. That added to a power/ weight ratio of 2: 1is impressive for a 30million dollar plane. Pilots I've talked to from Arnold AFB say the F-22 is nice, but not $150,000,000 nice. The military should have the best, not the most expensive planes.
@eyeschoper that is just a video of the downed f-117 with silly music. It got shot down once out of >1000 times where it proved that the radars were inferior to it... succesful? damn right it was succesful, now imagine the f-22
@blagna212 Have i said it was not relevant to this discussion? and no, it has never flown against new AA-systems. it got shot down once out of >1000 times where it prooved that the radars were inferior to it... Please dont lie sir. They took the F-117 out of service in 2008, no need for it any longer when they have the F-22... and they are not selling them, i dont know where you got that info... If you want to make a comparison with new modern AA-systems compare them with the F-22...
@blagna212 Well at exerciese such as northern edge and red flag, there is real physics aswell, real radar detection, which was = invisible F-22 As for the F-117, it is 1 / 1000, it happened once that it got tracked and shot down on radar, why do you think it did not happen the other 999 times? because the stealthy design worked... If a red-belt karate guy fights a blue-belt, he will win most of the time, but not 1000 out of 1000 times. From "what" you read it is a no-contest, what DID you read?
Still, only a handful of Su-30s, Mig-29K, and Su-35BMs that they can count on in the next 5 years... Russian/USSR aircraft technology has been 5-8 years behind that of the US; if Russia develops a 5th gen fighter, the US has over 120. Its better, cheaper, but this is only a good thing if war doesn't happen. Russia invests much more in SAM technology, which is much better than the US, admittedly with TI chips in them, though the def. budget is 10x smaller.
@blagna212 If you type something like "F-22 fail" you will probably get something not written by a real author, It is people like you and me would say "wow that is fail" a government pressrelease would not contain something like that. As for the RAND simulations in the computer, they actually posted on their website (rand.org) the result was unaccurate and not something to count on. i will send link in Inbox, last time i checked it was possible.
@blagna212 Here is my second comment, this timeabout the first thing you say, remember to read the other one (it is because inbox only shows a single one) It dosent matter who found the THEORY behind it... it is who made it into something that works... The tank: Da-vinci came with the first ideas... (tank is still a british invention) The Helicopter was also da-vinci's invention... (but it is not italian for that reason)... Dont start to tease me in your comments.- desperate for arguments?
@blagna212 I cant find ANYTHING on the web about northern edge with false statements, there was a web page, but when i searched on the page for the phrase it was just: "Airman (Jon Doe), was sentenced in a special court-martial for wrongful use of marijuana and dereliction of duty." all that came on the same page as with an article about f-22 participation in Northern Edge. thats why it seemed like it was false, maybe thats what you fell over. but did not research Give me links, evt. in inbox.
@blagna212 Remember to read my other comment, this is my second... Good, so Georgia started, but Hey wasent it Iraq that Invaded Kuwait? Wasent it Al-Qaida who attacked USA? Wasent it Gadaffi who started slaying his people? Wasent it North Vietnam who tried to annex south vietnam under communism? wasent it north korea who tried to invade south korea? Go back to page 3 in the comment list, read ALL your comments you have said. not a single time have you said anything about F-22 vs s-300/s-400.
@blagna212 S-400 cannot detect a F-22 unless it v. close. if it has a range against "stealthy aircraft" at 100 km. (Superhornet, Rafale, EF-2000, SU-35) now how close do you have to get in a F-22? "They are proven effective against not only planes but other MISSILES" - the S-400 is proven against them is TESTS, at Northern edge the F-22 shot down 140 aircraft without losses... You tell me that the f-22 is bad because it only won in tests, but you brag about the S-400 being good in tests.
@blagna212 I am against wars, what you said made me sick aswell, you say that that NATO is the only one to go and attack, of course it is sick to kill up to 4 million vietnamese (not NATO), but so is it wrong to kill up to 2 million afghans (afghan war with soviet union). which you did not mention... gulf war was 3600 civilians... They fought Gadaffi in the late 80'es because of the lockerbie incident... Well how will the Irbis-e detect 0,0001 m2 at 90 km range when it can only see 0,01? :)
Beautiful song, Beautiful plane. Angel of the sky.
I love that you used Zero before it even became famous/a meme etc. Ace Combat and this absolute beast are two of my fav things

大型戦闘機で、これ程の旋回性能や曲技飛行が出来る事が凄い!

Nice Video ^_^
@blagna212 The X-47's will be far more stealthy than the F-22, but will probably only be using air-to-ground weapons, (could be used to knock out S-400) maybe they will also use Aim-120 or JDRADM.
They missiles can fly over the horizon yes, but if it is alone without anybody in front of it, they got a problem... there might AWACS, but how would they see a F-22?
@Mcpblackheart
Me too - from Ace Combat Zero - back when Ace Combat was still good and they didn't try their best to kill the franchise..
ok first things first, a strafing run is when you do shoot with the Cannon (jep that old piece of shellthrowing junk) at ground forces otherwise its an ground attack or bomb run. A run is always into the target and the egress not when you stay away from the target and AGMs need something to lock on, ever tried lock a man? Sides the problem with your reasoning is that you usually need a run in for each target, for proper indentification and to satisfy the employement parametres for the weapon.
It is a real baddass fighter!
long live sukhoi!! long live namco ace combat!!!
Best plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MajSolo
Wiki SibNIA
No one has written any article on this russian reasearch lab yet. I would like to know how much work on aircraft they have done through history,
ксати на видео если не ошибаюсь подполковник который умер вчера, это он обкатывал эти самолеты
I hope our government will finally to purchase Su-37 and MiG 35D for Serbian air forces.Peoplе are expected to!
@JVC7400 Yes it was, just type SU-37 discovery.
true, nonetheless it's a good rival vs the f22 or f35 :). U.S. is 1/2 generation ahead :)
You guys are very good at imaging, hahah`~
@tramvaj12 Umm, right, first of all The Su-37 was a tech demonstrator not a figther aircraft... so how could be better than any American jet in service, when itself is not in use?
@blagna212 "I know that fact hurts but better for your camp to just forget about" - that is an example of you getting personal instead of using arguments.
When i tell you the "1 to 1000" you keep saying the same thing as in your first comment.
Ok, so if the Americans Copied the stealth drawings why did the russians not make stealth aircraft themselves?
Aviationwide, russia has a big pile of copies:
Sidewinder - AA-2 Atoll
F-111 - Su-24
B-1 - Tu-144
B-29 - Tu-4
XB-70 - T-4
cncord - tu144
beginning from AC5 in menu after 11 seconds the theme song of AC zero
Dude! Ace combat song! =D su-37 is the best!!!
@marcin1283
Lol...Su need 50 computers too, he is so tail heavy! Although i think Su is an awesome plane.
@tramvaj12 Yes, but how can you say that it was on discovery when it wasent?
The musiс from Ace Combat 5 !!!
روعة
Are these available for export?
i like su-37
@blagna212 Tell me where you have read they lied... the project was not cancelled, the production was just halted at 187 aircraft which will be in service to 2050 +
the F-117 has a RCS of 0.025 m2... so how can the B-2 have a a RCS that is 0,02? and how is this possible when it is said that it has 50 % of the RCS of the F-117?
And how would the S-400 track it at 400 km when it can only track "stealthy" targets at 100 km? (superhornet, ef-2000, dasault rafale)?
I can back up all my facts...
@MajSolo You can also google for GosNIIAS
I think they also had something to do with the development of the Su.27.
Can anyone tell me what's the name of the soundtrack??
i have served in the rusian air deffece system nobody can fuck with us
Noro letalo.
LP
Ace combat zero them song nice .
F-18 Super Hornet, Grippen or Rafale??
name of the specific song ?
u jeee...fasciniran sam! isto kao kad moja baba posle ruske parade na tv-u tri dana ne moze da dodje sebi...sreca pa nema net,, inace bi bila ravnopravni ucesnik u ovoj plodonosnoj diskusiji.
x31!
If you want to make a comparison with new modern AA-systems compare them with the F-22...
yah this is god...but...now...nothing can be compare with the F22
а интересно этот апарат есть? и вообще летает?
@blagna212 Well at exerciese such as northern edge and red flag, there is real physics aswell, real radar detection, which was = invisible F-22
As for the F-117, it is 1 / 1000, it happened once that it got tracked and shot down on radar, why do you think it did not happen the other 999 times? because the stealthy design worked... If a red-belt karate guy fights a blue-belt, he will win most of the time, but not 1000 out of 1000 times.
From "what" you read it is a no-contest, what DID you read?
This is the best Russia currently has to offer. PAK-FA is a decade away from service. Fodder for an F-22 or F-35.
вот куда ушли "жигули". Даеш Народу СУУК-Хой! В Перед РОССИЯ в ПЕРЕД в НЕБЕСА:)
@marcin1283 Actually even on the discovery Chanel SU 37 was better than F planes LOL.
@blagna212 Here is my second comment, this timeabout the first thing you say, remember to read the other one (it is because inbox only shows a single one)
It dosent matter who found the THEORY behind it... it is who made it into something that works...
The tank: Da-vinci came with the first ideas... (tank is still a british invention)
The Helicopter was also da-vinci's invention... (but it is not italian for that reason)...
Dont start to tease me in your comments.- desperate for arguments?
No, the SU-37 is much better than the F-22 ...
@blagna212 I cant find ANYTHING on the web about northern edge with false statements, there was a web page, but when i searched on the page for the phrase it was just: "Airman (Jon Doe), was sentenced in
a special court-martial for
wrongful use of marijuana and
dereliction of duty."
all that came on the same page as with an article about f-22 participation in Northern Edge. thats why it seemed like it was false, maybe thats what you fell over. but did not research
Give me links, evt. in inbox.
Sweet... not as cool as the F22 but sweet...
Russia No.1 !!!
@MultiRafael500 mission zero "zero"
DADA
no!!!! us airplanes or the best
F-22 is canceled and deactivated.
