Let's be clear. The immortal reign Scrappy Echoes was a part of had already had accounts that were bought. It's that old. Blizz just needs to update the ToS to match China at this point. As for gaining Immo status, bought accounts aren't really doing that. 3v3v3 is generally won by old high end accts.
You should call them out, breaking TOS should be a big part of your argument. You are a partner and it should be your obligation to keep the integrity of the game alive. Its your decision at the end of it, but i just couldnt stand by and let unfair play happen in a game that i am sponsored by
Streamers benefit from the ecosystem at a lesser but still present level as the developer. NetEase has never been concerned with the “integrity” of the game if it resulted in less money. You are kidding yourself if you think there will be a massive sea change that would be implemented to frustrate their best customers in dominating servers.
This started on my server, eternal conflict when Kincaid bought Martin’s account and destroyed our reign made ez bail and we followed. Then mard did it to treasure goblin. Both have a stated similar goal regarding competition which I agree with. They just go about it really poorly. The developers of this game gave us all free rein to make the modes They built fun and the current whales choose to not do that. I think these guys want to do that but they don’t go about it very well.
This topic is the most important thing in the game right now. Its not toxic its the truth that matters. Cheating and taking advantage of others should be a pretty important thing to expose.
As a member of a clan, that does server jump. We started the clan day 1 of being competitive, we as a group decided collectively if the immortal/shadows competition turns sideways/sour, we find another server and jump. Members of my own clan have been called out for buying accounts, we all learned our lessons watching others with the negative orbs issue, that no one wants blizzards eyes on their accounts so we keep it 100% correct. Don't do stupid things. But to earn those big cloaks, you need to jump to shake up the stagnation of the immortal/shadow clan holds on some servers. We have jumped 5x's and learned lessons along the way.
On my server, Silver Spire, only 2 factions have ever made it to immortal status everyone else is just BG/vault fodder. Every 7 weeks, we change back to shadows/immortal. So the game is really just a grind. Being immortal is not fun anymore once you have achieved immortal status ever other 7 weeks for 2 years now. I feel the game has just run into a wall and is just a money grab for the developers.
If they are violating the ToS Blizzard should ban the accounts. I'm confident the people piloting these accounts didn't just start playing the game with an account they purchased. They can play with their legit accounts. If they make buying accounts not a violation it's fine then.

Blizzard is so scared of NetEase that they allowed these buying and selling of accounts in the chinese servers. This, in turn, spread out into the Blizzard servers. A prime example is in our SEA Region servers.

I am 7K player (if that helps any). I get chosen to play Immortals/Shadows almost every weekend. I see 4K-5Ks participate frequently in the scheduled tournaments - but they are maxed 30 on all gear and maxed out everywhere else that a Free-to-Play player can achieve. So long as I can play a few times a cycle, I am content.
If anyone was Curious as to why myself, my Best Friend, & most of my Warband (Just to Name a few) left Iceburn Tear for Helliquary, Kincaid & Co. is the (Main) Answer... I wouldn't be Surprised if there were Whale Alliances in/on every Server Cluster, BUT some of them are Nicer overall than others. I've Played with Numerous Members of the Top 6 Clans here & haven't had even 1 Negative Experience that I can think of? They've Helped me Unlock the next Inferno Difficulty when I Needed it. They are ALWAYS Carrying People through Gauntlets when they are able to do so. And if they have any Open Spots, they'll let Players that have NEVER been an Immortal Join for at least 1 Reign. I can't say the same about most of the Whale Alliances/Immortal Clans back on Iceburn Tear. There are a Couple of Individuals that are Exceptions (Aador/Radagon) for Example that are/were Cool & Helpful. I don't even know if he is still there? And from what I've Heard/Seen, things have only gotten even WORSE since I/We Transferred... Why do you think there have been however many Server Mergers there, but not other places? Because so many Players are leaving to get Away from him/them...I'm sure RedOctober could find a List of all the Server Mergers since Launch because he's Resourceful like that. IDK about Helliquary, but I want to say Iceburn Tear is around something like 8 at this Point? Give or Take 1-2.
In addition to that, we have, in Brazil, a person, or people, who has created and maintained a huge number of alts and shadow clans to actively mess with the shadow wars. We reported to Blizzard many times, nothing has been done.

I know of day 1 clans that have accumulated (not bought) high-level accounts because of players leaving and letting "the clan" have use of the account. Call it piloting or what have you , but these accounts stay in clan and are available to the original persons at any time should they desire to come back. I don't recognize that as being an issue for me personally.
Its against terms of service in american server. (Not chinese server, Iceburn tear is North American server) Read terms and service, dont too long didnt read and scroll down to accept terms and conditions. You cant share accounts in american servers.

I played WoW from Beta and Blizzards ban hammer was swift and unwavering on sold accounts. Trash bp skins, lootbox hot garbage cash grabs, cheat to win cape chasing / win trade/ throw rite of exile reigns, broken matchmaking bg where low to mid reso are whale fodder, toxic wc community, sucker simp roe throwing (to- take- immo -cape- turns- next) shadows with alt clans and / or plat miners. Sold accounts xferring from west coast where duped gems were common just to manipulated east coast server markets. Too much bs going on to keep tabs on for legit players who play fair and square
Blizzard/Netease can't string a good event together without game breaking bugs or ripping people off in the process. No way they can or want to police this issue. Plus there's a massive cultural difference when it comes to cheating or "buying" your way, into getting more powerful. The Chinese players will often do everything to get ahead(many games has this problem). Server jumping can be prevented, but they have monetized that as well..chaaachiiing amigos!
Players using 3rd party hacks like the speed hack should be called out and exposed. They add such a high level of toxicity to the game. It's crazy. 3rd party speed hacks are a real thing. You had a whale on your video talking about it in the past. People using 3rd party hacks and duplicate gems are the biggest problems in this game, in my opinion. If there's a way Blizzard can identify the duplicated gems and just remove them from players who purchased them, It would be a great start. We have people running around with 7k to 9k secondaries due to that. I'm not claiming everybody with 7k to 9k secondaries purchased duplicate gems, I'm just saying it shouldn't be too difficult for Blizzard to identify them and remove them. Account selling, in my opinion, shouldn't be a problem. Temporary account sharing is a problem. Especially with the purpose of getting an advantage in RoE.
If Blizzard is going to allow some players to purchase powerful accounts for pennies on the dollar in violation of the terms of service and do nothing to enforce those terms, then they should allow the honest spenders to get their money back. Otherwise you've just given a competitive advantage in a competitive game to cheaters.
I play in EU server The Butcher and this is nothing new, here we have total monopoly from 6 clans that rotate to be immortals, if you want to be immo you got to go to these clans, and is like that from a long way
Pretty much and if you want to be in the clan, you have to invest the time. These main clans have alternative clans for their alts and casual players. My recommendation is that Blizzard somehow increase the frequency of events so that players can engage/adjust quickly. The main event (Sunday night) being the only thing? There's got to be more of this type of content More opportunities = more chances to play. Essentially implement battlegrounds clan matches on Tuesday and Friday!
Either way the entire game winds up one sided cus its the easy way.. and there will be done nothing about it unless the whole shadow vs immo stuff would be entirely changed.

Im a free to play, but i am not a yapper... I dont envy pay to win players. Let them spend and dominate. Selling or renting accounts are personal transactions, let them be . People are just too jealous on whales... Move on guys.
But AFK farming isn't the same thing as just sitting AFK out there.. and AFK dungeon isn't about auto follow someone in a dungeon.. it's using a third party service to run around killing mobs and doing dungeons to farm stuff and sell.. so for me that is as bad as selling and buying accounts.. Like sitting AFK out in the world isn't against the Terms of Use

If the video revolved around people breaking ToS to get top spots, I'd get behind it. Blizz/Ease SHOULD enforce the rules of the ToS, or at least inform us on their stance, if it's allowed, let people know so everyone can do it. TOS is only relevant if the developer actually enforces it. Otherwise it is just a document that the developer uses to give new players the perception their sandbox has rules. Echo cannot make Blizzard/Netease care about enforcing their rules, most of which only apply to N.A. servers.

Toxicity is something that has always existed and can get worse at times, depending on the issues happening on the servers. I believe buying and selling accounts should be allowed since the money spent belongs to the person, and in the end, it already happens at all levels, from accounts worth 2k to 10k. NetEase should take over the game globally. There are many updates in China that never made it to the West, and it doesn’t make sense for us not to have access to that content.
Easy solution. Have bliz send lower powered players tons of orbs for 100 crest runs, some free cos sets every month, but that's a pipe dream cause I don't know anyone like that. If I put 100K into my town and decide to sell it for a dollar, that's my choice in my opinion. It's like going to a garage sale and telling someone they aren't allowed to sell this or that for so cheap. Is it being stolen? No. The whole, don't worry about me but this ain't fair " attitude is kinda hypocrisy. This is completely backwards logic. Yes, it’s a pay-to-win game. It’s also a game. Which means it has rules and regulations that apply to everyone. When someone invests, they do so trusting that the integrity of the game will not be compromised. It’s completely fair… invest and you get more powerful, don’t and you won’t. This is no secret. In this way, the rules are the same for everyone. But when you get into the violation and breaking of terms of service, for the purpose of controlling results within the game, that’s where the issue lies. It destroys the integrity of the outset of rules and alters the outcome of the game entirely. Many wouldn’t have signed up and invested in a game where the rules don’t apply, whether it’s pay-to-win or not.

I am 7K player (if that helps any). I get chosen to play Immortals/Shadows almost every weekend.
I see 4K-5Ks participate frequently in the scheduled tournaments - but they are maxed 30 on all gear and maxed out everywhere else that a Free-to-Play player can achieve.
So long as I can play a few times a cycle, I am content.
If anyone was Curious as to why myself, my Best Friend, & most of my Warband (Just to Name a few) left Iceburn Tear for Helliquary, Kincaid & Co. is the (Main) Answer...
I wouldn't be Surprised if there were Whale Alliances in/on every Server Cluster, BUT some of them are Nicer overall than others. I've Played with Numerous Members of the Top 6 Clans here & haven't had even 1 Negative Experience that I can think of? They've Helped me Unlock the next Inferno Difficulty when I Needed it. They are ALWAYS Carrying People through Gauntlets when they are able to do so. And if they have any Open Spots, they'll let Players that have NEVER been an Immortal Join for at least 1 Reign.
I can't say the same about most of the Whale Alliances/Immortal Clans back on Iceburn Tear. There are a Couple of Individuals that are Exceptions (Aador/Radagon) for Example that are/were Cool & Helpful. I don't even know if he is still there? And from what I've Heard/Seen, things have only gotten even WORSE since I/We Transferred...
Why do you think there have been however many Server Mergers there, but not other places? Because so many Players are leaving to get Away from him/them...I'm sure RedOctober could find a List of all the Server Mergers since Launch because he's Resourceful like that. IDK about Helliquary, but I want to say Iceburn Tear is around something like 8 at this Point? Give or Take 1-2.
On my server there's an account "Leroy" thats been passed around like a promiscuous girl. 😂

In addition to that, we have, in Brazil, a person, or people, who has created and maintained a huge number of alts and shadow clans to actively mess with the shadow wars. We reported to Blizzard many times, nothing has been done.

I know of day 1 clans that have accumulated (not bought) high-level accounts because of players leaving and letting "the clan" have use of the account. Call it piloting or what have you , but these accounts stay in clan and are available to the original persons at any time should they desire to come back. I don't recognize that as being an issue for me personally.

Read terms and service, dont too long didnt read and scroll down to accept terms and conditions. You cant share accounts in american servers.

I played WoW from Beta and Blizzards ban hammer was swift and unwavering on sold accounts. Blizzard/Netease can't string a good event together without game breaking bugs or ripping people off in the process. No way they can or want to police this issue. Plus there's a massive cultural difference when it comes to cheating or "buying" your way, into getting more powerful. The Chinese players will often do everything to get ahead(many games has this problem). Server jumping can be prevented, but they have monetized that as well..chaaachiiing amigos!

Players using 3rd party hacks like the speed hack should be called out and exposed. They add such a high level of toxicity to the game. It's crazy.
3rd party speed hacks are a real thing. You had a whale on your video talking about it in the past.
People using 3rd party hacks and duplicate gems are the biggest problems in this game, in my opinion.
If there's a way Blizzard can identify the duplicated gems and just remove them from players who purchased them, It would be a great start.
We have people running around with 7k to 9k secondaries due to that.
I'm not claiming everybody with 7k to 9k secondaries purchased duplicate gems, I'm just saying it shouldn't be too difficult for Blizzard to identify them and remove them.
Account selling, in my opinion, shouldn't be a problem.
Temporary account sharing is a problem. Especially with the purpose of getting an advantage in RoE.
Every server cluster should have a team of moderators. Probably not in the budget though.
If Blizzard is going to allow some players to purchase powerful accounts for pennies on the dollar in violation of the terms of service and do nothing to enforce those terms, then they should allow the honest spenders to get their money back. Otherwise you've just given a competitive advantage in a competitive game to cheaters.

I play in EU server The Butcher and this is nothing new, here we have total monopoly from 6 clans that rotate to be immortals, if you want to be immo you got to go to these clans, and is like that from a long way
Pretty much and if you want to be in the clan, you have to invest the time.
These main clans have alternative clans for their alts and casual players.
My recommendation is that Blizzard somehow increase the frequency of events so that players can engage/adjust quickly. The main event (Sunday night) being the only thing? There's got to be more of this type of content
More opportunities = more chances to play.
Essentially implement battlegrounds clan matches on Tuesday and Friday!
Either way the entire game winds up one sided cus its the easy way.. and there will be done nothing about it unless the whole shadow vs immo stuff would be entirely changed.

But AFK farming isn't the same thing as just sitting AFK out there.. and AFK dungeon isn't about auto follow someone in a dungeon.. it's using a third party service to run around killing mobs and doing dungeons to farm stuff and sell.. so for me that is as bad as selling and buying accounts..

Honestly, maybe make pay to win servers that people have to compete individually to be on with incentivized rewards for being there. This sucks to hear i feel like immortals should be something everyone has and equal opportunity to experience if you’ve worked hard enough on your account
If the video revolved around people breaking ToS to get top spots, I'd get behind it. Blizz/Ease SHOULD enforce the rules of the ToS, or at least inform us on their stance, if it's allowed, let people know so everyone can do it.

TOS is only relevant if the developer actually enforces it.
Otherwise it is just a document that the developer uses to give new players the perception their sandbox has rules.
Echo cannot make Blizzard/Netease care about enforcing their rules, most of which only apply to N.A. servers.

There are more legit players who didnt violate ToS than the ones who kinda did. You stand up for those with integrity who never cheated, its way more than just the beanz club. Others uninvolved with their previous server drama are also collateral damage and we have legit whale spenders who played fair square since day one in the merged cluster

Please don't put everyone in the same boat. Ive been playing this game over 2 years and most of everyone in my circle of friend has NEVER lazy farmed and agree its cheating. I know players who played 2 years and their gear isnt 30 while some 3 month new guys leaving his account on all night while he sleep has rank 30.

everywhere is like your server? Ive been immortal many time and our clan even stood up to kincaid and refused to put his fake whales he had in our alliance in ROE.

Toxicity is something that has always existed and can get worse at times, depending on the issues happening on the servers. I believe buying and selling accounts should be allowed since the money spent belongs to the person, and in the end, it already happens at all levels, from accounts worth 2k to 10k.
NetEase should take over the game globally. There are many updates in China that never made it to the West, and it doesn’t make sense for us not to have access to that content.

Easy solution. Have bliz send lower powered players tons of orbs for 100 crest runs, some free cos sets every month, but that's a pipe dream cause I don't know anyone like that. If I put 100K into my town and decide to sell it for a dollar, that's my choice in my opinion. It's like going to a garage sale and telling someone they aren't allowed to sell this or that for so cheap. Is it being stolen? No. The whole, don't worry about me but this ain't fair " attitude is kinda hypocrisy. I'm sure some feel otherwise but if I see a better player or he beats me in BG, good for him, and if he put out 10K for a 100K toon, even better for him. Enjoy the game for yourself.

This is completely backwards logic. Yes, it’s a pay-to-win game. It’s also a game. Which means it has rules and regulations that apply to everyone. When someone invests, they do so trusting that the integrity of the game will not be compromised. It’s completely fair… invest and you get more powerful, don’t and you won’t. This is no secret. In this way, the rules are the same for everyone. But when you get into the violation and breaking of terms of service, for the purpose of controlling results within the game, that’s where the issue lies. It destroys the integrity of the outset of rules and alters the outcome of the game entirely. Many wouldn’t have signed up and invested in a game where the rules don’t apply, whether it’s pay-to-win or not.
