I've experienced similar issues on the wing attachment - i.e. broken pins. In my case, the broken pinned jammed, making it *almost* impossible to remove the wing. I had to cut into it and force it loose. My resolution was to patch the surgical hole permanently with some sheet polystyrene and then drill holes for screws to affix the wing to the fuselage. It makes it a bit more difficult to build, but it is secure. If FMS would redesign this glider with a more reasonable wing root connection, I'd buy another. Other than that, it is an absolute joy to fly. As always, thanks for sharing. Steve
I love the plane also. I have my second one and I am putting in a eflight ESC in this one. That's why I don't have the first one. Very strong airframe I am very happy horizon sent me a new one. Thanks for your videos, great scenery.
Hi Bob & Kit Your bang on about the colours jolly ol England is at the same stage.. Now that glider would be perfect for long recon flights looking for moose I suppose best time is when snow is on the ground.. I'll look up someone's build on that kite so I can see the wing mounts you never know I might come up with an idea on how to fix it Best to you both Brian

The CE is a fun sport glider but it doesn’t hold a candle to the ASW17 when it comes to actually gliding. And I really dislike the tiny battery bay in the CE
I crashed mine on the maiden flight, still feeling sick about it, Flaps where reversed on my stabilizer, never saw that mistake, even after checking everything several times, a kind of blindness Bent the spars and broke the locks, but amazingly everything else was fine, so actually this plane can do a hard crash. I have order 2 new wings and wing spars, quiet expensive. Seeing the wings are fine except the locks, I have decided to use them again and lock them with a little screw from the bottom into the pins of the fuselage where the original locks click in, no disgusting tape on mine. Sadly I did not video the crash, that would have shown how strong this plane is.

A quiek update on my ASW17, after 3 mounts still waiting for the parts. Also I will never buy another FMS product, Great looking products, but without spare parts totally useless, rather buy cheap Chinees planes, loads of fun, and plenty of spare parts. I am a very dissapionted FMS customer
@@muskybob8726 I have a Volantex V2 2M Glider that have wing locks that you can replace and are availible, Glider costs $92 and not $300 the FMS is a very nice product and can survive a crash, as I know, but the wing locks are the weak point, also it is underpowered. A few club members have replaced the motor for a more powerful one, and have no problem with the take off any more
@@muskybob8726 For the past week I have been fighting with FMS support, seems they have wing locks for sale but forgot to put it on the parts page haha, They sent me a link for where to buy the locks, there is nothing on that link . So now I am really fustrated with my FMS, I will post a video how I have solved my wing lock problem. But be sure I will never buy any FMS product again, begause there support is useless

If you want the best glider ever.... Conscendo evolution 1.5m.... Highly recommend

I had never issues with the wing attachment. I have applied color stripes at the buttom of the wings to recognise better the plane in the air.

Well the patch does not seem to effect it at all...I thought the patch was part of the pattern...Very Graceful hand launch - good flight...

not only my wing mechanism broke, but the fuselage fitting... i'll continue to fly it with tape....but i wont buy another!

Yes it has design flaws!. And fms does not care at all. I will never buy a fms branded product again.
