And, oh yeah, that whole 'caught having sex with butler' thing, i.e., an unsuspecting Natalie 'walking in on' her husband and their butler having sex in the couple's bed. I believe unquestionably that Robert Wagner has first hand knowledge of how Natalie had bruises and ended up in the water that dark, cold evening. Christopher Walken as well. Lana Wood is very attractive, but Natalie was and will always be Special to me.
Boy, Lana Wood sure was smoking hot in her prime! Sadly, though, it seems like that was her major selling point and as her sexy good looks faded with age, as happens to every woman, she had nothing left to sell and she ended up struggling financially. Hope she is doing well these days or maybe as well as can be expected.
OOPSIE! I didn't even know Natalie had a sister. Sean Connery was the best 007. I think I missed the movie she was in. But she should have stuck with Sean. Leslie.....ah, no.
"Alert the media!" Seriously, except for some select individuals who know you, "Lisa Rakic," NO ONE cares that YOU never heard of this star, who will be the first to admit her better days in Hollywood are long past. You could have posted your all-of-one-brief-sentence comment without even watching -- the name 'Lana Wood' was in the title. RUclips 101: either 'pass' and go on to dozens of the millions of available RUclips videos that tweak your interest. Or, educate oneself for eight minutes courtesy of Facts Verse's Lana Wood report. Then, if the mood strikes, share with the curious here what you got out of it. I'd be curious. . . . Or, simply don't type.
@@csymindspring 'Star' is a term used much too loosely by both the media, publicists, marketing and advertising divisions and an impressionable, unquestioning public. Using that logic, the seven regulars on "Gilligan's Island," of varying levels of talent, in a loose translation were deemed 'stars' by many. It's as illogical as the one-time worthy, but eventually abused, meaningless, episodic TV billing, 'Special Guest Star.' On her first "The Bold Ones" / 'The New Doctors' guest shot, longtime MGM and CBS star Ann Sothern's equally pretty, actress daughter Tisha Sterling is handed "Special Guest Star" billing. The following year, 1970. she makes a return visit, yet surprisingly she's been demoted to "Guest Star." Sterling's career was just as hot in '70 as '69, so what happened? Oftentimes the bonus billing is in lieu of agreeing to financial remuneration. Or another performer has been guaranteed exclusivity on Special Guest Star status . . . Remember (or, remember hearing of) those '80s specials on ABC, "Night of 100 Stars"? Ridiculous; the popular specials' producers were indeed quite liberal with who earned the moniker. Not intending to sound like a shill for Lana, but a true "n.t." (i.e., "no talent") isn't going to be repeatedly employed / cast by studios and networks over half a century (inter-mixed with multiple years where she was blacklisted and another span wherein she 'walked away from the business' from 1985 - 2008) to the tune of over 70 credits; the amount courtesy of IMDB. Her mammoth melons undeniably clouded many qualifying judgements and evaluations of her true acting abilities. A circumstance that isn't unique to Lana Wood. I mean her character on a "Fugitive" episode was simply 'The Doll' -- physically not a stretch in 1964, but she still had to act. She had plenty of diverse roles before and after her iconic turn as Plenty O'Toole in "Diamonds Are Forever." Would you believe: she pulled off playing Sister Olive, a nun on Robert Blake's "Baretta" ('76). Again, in no way meaning to sound like a shill for Lana Wood, but after watching dozens of RUclips-provided episodes of "Peyton Place" (ABC's Nielsen Ratings' juggernaut in the mid '60s, before its decline to demise in '69) five-six years ago, not only was I impressed with certain dramatic, thematic and production-values aspects of the show in SELECT episodes, but additionally, Lana -- playing trashy, lusted-after siren Sandy Webber -- did not disappoint, did not embarrass herself or her on-screen dialogue counterparts. Furthermore, the three-night-a-week, filmed soap's cast members were on pins and needles with the standard 13-week options hanging over their heads. If Lana, indeed, "couldn't act to save her life," no way would she have survived through at least half a dozen option renewals. BTW, that's five more than the much more credible, in most critics' eyes, Susan Oliver, who was shown the door after just one 13-week run playing Ann Howard. Oh, yeah, apparently murdered by Sandy's brutish, biker husband Lee, played by Stephen Oliver, her one-time real husband. While Lana will ALWAYS be in the shadow of her more gifted / talented / attractive sister Natalie, her career has enough name recognition to prove she couldn't have been 'pulling the wool over the eyes' of legends and noteworthy behind-the-scenes figures THAT MANY TIMES or her unworthiness as a professional performer would have caught up with her, betrayed her. 'Feathers in anyone's cap' and on their resume, she worked with: John Ford, director "The Searchers," Lamont Johnson, director "Have Gun - Will Travel" episode, director Leo Penn, director "Dr. Kildare" and "Starsky and Hutch" episodes, Gene ("M*A*S*H") Reynolds, director "Wendy and Me" episode, Jack Webb, executive producer & director "O'Hara, U.S. Treasury" two-hour pilot, lead female guest star, Jeff Corey, acclaimed acting coach and director, and Rod Serling, creator and host "Rod Serling's Night Gallery" episode, Tom Gries, director "QB VII" mini-series, Joseph Wambaugh, creator and writer-consultant, "Police Story" anthology, three episodes. A confidant of her estranged brother-in-law, Robert Wagner, in the strictest of confidence answered her desperate plea as to why she suddenly wasn't getting work in the early 1980s. 'Blacklisted'; a big 'Do NOT Hire' attached to her name on titles' prospective cast lists. And by? The man himself, Wagner, who under suspicion for Natalie's 1981 death at Catalina Island, was furious with her (quite reasonable) unrelenting questioning the circumstances of the unsolved death of her sister / his wife, Natalie, whereas Wagner was the last to see her alive. Think about it: if Wagner could quickly retreat to the mainland via helicopter, and subsequently and for all time weasel his way out of being thoroughly questioned by L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigators re circumstances pertaining to a suspicious death, he certainly had enough pull to call in favors with producers and casting directors at the studios and networks. So, in 1983 Lana 'went slumming' on the CBS soap, "Capitol." "CSV," your charge "...Lana couldn't act to save her life, and she definitely wasn't anything near being a 'star'" reads suspiciously more like a vendetta than a critical analysis of a lifetime's work.
Lana Wood was a notorious Hollywood bike and during the brief Connery fling was transitioning in and out of two other relationships. Her marital history similarly demonstrates brief relationships ending in divorce due to ongoing infidelity. Perfectly OK to live that way, as long as those like Connery know the game going in, I'm sure some, like her multiple husband's, didn't.
stunning in her twenties -nice person -difficult having a awsome sister like natalie in her shadow hope she enjoys her remaining days just read her latest book -a great read cant believe its 40 years since that fatefull night
Its a real pitty she lost her daughter and fell in hard times but what i dont understand is how she lost her home or lifestyle for having to pay mrdical bills....i lived all my life in argentina and ive never herd of anyone loosing homes to pay medical bills. Medicine care is not so costly here as in usa anyways we have free hospital care. If you get ill you dont pay tratment the state pays for it. We only pay medication. Hospitals even give you medication for free l.blood pressure medication or diabetes or inhections for ciatica pains etc. What a pity.
It would not easy to have a sister like Natalie Wood. However, I feel bad for Lana Wood because she got short outed from Hollywood. I am sure she is a kind woman as I had saw her on Dr. OZ SHOW a while back. And yes, It would be terrible to go from living the high life, and end up living in a motel. I think Sean Conery pretty much was a file womanizer, because he had the looks, charm, and money. I hope the best for Lana Wood.
"Darvenne J," it's perfectly natural and admirable to be proud of one's heritage; in your instance, Russian. "салют" ("salute!"). And it's perfectly obvious for us to remember how ultra-hot Lana was in all those dozens of titillating episodes of "Peyton Place" from '66 to '68 (available 24/7 on RUclips) and of course the too-oft-mentioned Bond film. But to state Russian heritage correlates to 'such a looker,' like it's a given, a natural inclination -- well, there are hundreds of millions of men from ALL nations and nationalities that could offer a few, limited, specific, SELECT Canadian, Italian, Venezuelan, Chinese, Danish (which includes Denmark's former, substantial holdings, now Sweden and Norway), Polynesian and Australian females that surpass and outrank Lana Wood -- Natalie too -- in the 'looker' category. "Just sayin."
Lana, was prettier and had a better body than her sister, but she was not as good an actress. And for the guys, look around on the Internet and you can see exactly what Sean saw ... one of Hollywood's best figures in her day.
@@harperstacey9604 Ah, sounds like you drank the Kool-Aid too from Wagner's camp, i.e., his legal team and publicists that over four decades haven't allowed him to oblige Los Angles County Sheriff's Department interview requests. Or submit to polygraph (yeah, I know, I know -- polygraphs aren't admitted at trial, but a 'pass' would certainly 'shut up' the millions who are convinced he offed her (Natalie). As for Lana, what sibling or loved one wouldn't want to know who was the responsible person. Using an extreme, high-profile example: don't you think Robert and Ted Kennedy would do anything to know who killed their brother, United States President John F. Kennedy?
SMH IT INSANE HOW PETTY PEOPLE CAN BE TRYING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO TARNISH SOMEONE NAME AFTER THE THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE PASSED AWAY BUT YET NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE'S AND THE ROLE OF JAMES BOND THAT HE PLAYED AND TURNED INTO A ICONIC CHARACTER LIKE THE COMEDIAN EDDIE GRIFFITH SAID IT BEST NO MATTER HOW FAMOUS A PERSON IS WHEN THAT PERSON PASSES AWAY THAT PERSON WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOME TYPE OF DIRT DROPPED ON THEIR NAME I'M JUST SAYING AND VOICING MY OPINION ✌💯🇺🇸
"Theresa Lord," 'goes with the territory' is the common saying. EVERY actress and actor has 'dogs' in their resumes. George Clooney, Sandra Bullock, Burt Reynolds, for example, good-naturedly quipped on talk show appearances about how many lousy movies, 'stinkers,' 'bombs,' and TV shows, 'duds, they were a part of. "Why that movie was SO bad, it wasn't released -- it escaped." Most pundits as well as non-discriminating viewers of filmed entertainment would offer "Grayeagle" was a certified p.o.s. As their project came together, evolved and turned out, it would not surprise us if the cast members of "Grayeagle" put it in the same, denigrating category too. Alex Cord. Ben Johnson. Jack Elam, Iron Eyes Cody, Paul Fix . . . and Lana Wood. For some 'it's a job, ' others admit 'it pays the rent' and the hard-up admit they did it just to keep their SAG-sanctioned health insurance 'alive.' Each has their own reasons. So, the RUclips community -- no matter their feelings for or even awareness of Lana Wood -- are stymied by: what behooves "Theresa Lord" to 'pull out of a hat' one of Lana's turkeys as the only point of her / your Comment? Many who post Comments choose to 'stay on track' and focus on what Facts Verse presents in the 8-minute report. Finally, Grammar 101: "It was not one of her better movies."
She didn't want to be type cast for the sexy girl type roles, yet she posed for Playboy? Maybe she didn't know that that stuff follows you forever. She seems to be sweet, but maybe a little too trusting, cause whoever gave her the advice for her career, sure did steer her wrong after her big role.
Lana did the Playboy shoot purely for the money and publicity for her career, which had started to slow down to a halt because of her own disinterest in pursuing it.. Her sister Natalie wasn't too thrilled. Lana was telling her that the pictures were done very tastefully. Natalie sarcastically replied: "I am sure they are absolutely yummy".😅
This is the first I've heard about the affair between Connery and Lana Wood, to tell you the truth. Interesting, too, that he'd had an affair with Jill St. John, since Ms. St. John later married Natalie's widower: Robert Wagner! They are still together. Small world! Thanks for this interesting video.
Lana Wood revealed the affair in the memoir she wrote on Natalie shortly after her death. But the reason the affair fizzled out was something totally different instead of the story presented here.
Excuse me, women/men, married or not, know their affair isn't going anywhere. Married men/women aren't going to leave their spouses. And, you can bet your behind, the spouse won't give them a divorce. They have it made especially if one of the spouses is rich!!!. If she was in love with someone else, why get involved with him in the first place? She/He both knew what they were getting into. And they both knew it would end.
3:01 'he was going to divorce his wife'. ya right. that way she takes him 'to the cleaners' for infidelity, he got NUTHIN aaaaand dear Lana wont take up with a pauper. heh heh heh.
These type of Gossip channels that are sort of like National Enquirer or maybe Star Magazine... I always wondered how the "reporters" and the so-called "journalist" would feel If a RUclips channel dedicated itself to "their" mother's exploits in High school and College? Maybe they would comment on how many people on the football team she was with or if she blew any of her professors or maybe she got good grades when she didn't deserve them because of sexual favors. But you never see that stuff,, it's always about famous people that you know aren't going to comment about it...I'd like to hear more about your mother I'm going to bet it would get more subscribers... you should think about it
Sad. She’s still an attractive woman. She could have done other things later. Sometimes your shadow overshadows you. She needs a living husband to take care of her and bring her joy. In the end I guess choices have consequences in one way or another.
He was too big for her ! He could only get the head in , he could never quite breaker in properly . She was Tooooo tight. She was not one for the might of the “ Scottish Hammer!”
Lana gets my vote as The Greatest Bond Girl of All Time. She is Magnificent here all around. How could she know that Sean was also "dating" Jill St. John during the making of "Diamonds Are Forever ?" (AKA "double dipping") Greedy basterd. (Must be nice.)
@@nataliedeshow768 if you talk about acting maybe. But what I am trying to say is that everyone has something that others do not have. And beauty or special preference is in the eye of the beholder.
I guess someone forgot to tell Jane Seymour about that "Bond Girl Curse".
OOPSIE! I didn't even know Natalie had a sister. Sean Connery was the best 007. I think I missed the movie she was in. But she should have stuck with Sean. Leslie.....ah, no.
That's common knowledge.
She had two sisters.
I had never heard of Lana Wood before.
Thanks for watching!
"Alert the media!"
Seriously, except for some select individuals who know you, "Lisa Rakic," NO ONE cares that YOU never heard of this star, who will be the first to admit her better days in Hollywood are long past.
@@scvandy3129 ...Lana coiuldn't act to save her life, and she definitely wasn't anything near being a "star."
So, in 1983 Lana 'went slumming' on the CBS soap, "Capitol."
"CSV," your charge "...Lana couldn't act to save her life, and she definitely wasn't anything near being a 'star'" reads suspiciously more like a vendetta than a critical analysis of a lifetime's work.
@@scvandy3129 Vendetta? LOL....that's a good one.
BIT HARSH HEY!
@@DaveSCameron Yet true.
notorious Hollywood bike....lol a zappa fan
It seems Sean C. was a notorious Hollywood bike rider.
What's a bike?
stunning in her twenties -nice person -difficult having a awsome sister like natalie in her shadow hope she enjoys her remaining days just read her latest book -a great read cant believe its 40 years since that fatefull night
SEAN is one of my favorite actors. Gone but not forgotten. But, I gage my liking the man on his career, not his moral inconsistencies.
moral inadequacies .....
@@annmcdonald6180 ,MERRY CHRISTMAS!
intriguing, but marrying many times over was her own choice
Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous ! She did a good job here and on The Wild Wild West
Lana made the right move, I wouldn't want to share either. Sorry to hear about her daughter and misfortune in her later life.
We absolutely agree! Thank you for your watching our video. Be on the lookout for the next one!
Even Lana looks a little bit like her sister, Natalie considering their brown hair
Natalie was a lot classier than Lana. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@@harperstacey9604 and a lot more beautiful and talented!!
Love the Bond movies. All of them
Its a real pitty she lost her daughter and fell in hard times but what i dont understand is how she lost her home or lifestyle for having to pay mrdical bills....i lived all my life in argentina and ive never herd of anyone loosing homes to pay medical bills. Medicine care is not so costly here as in usa anyways we have free hospital care. If you get ill you dont pay tratment the state pays for it. We only pay medication. Hospitals even give you medication for free l.blood pressure medication or diabetes or inhections for ciatica pains etc. What a pity.
Hospital bills are costly when you don't have good medical insurance. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
That 'Bond Girls Curse' didn't work on, Jane Seymour. 😉
MAYBE LANA WOOD WASNT THE SUCCESSFUL ACTRESS HER OLDER SISTER WAS..BUT SHE WAS JUST AS BEAUTIFUL..THE LADY WAS GORGEOUS..STILL IS...
Thanks for watching!
She's was and is beautiful.
STILL VERY PRETTY AT HER AGE !😁❤🔥
Didn't know they had an affair, maybe Sean did not consider it an affair. He is -Mr. kiss kiss bang bang. Awm
Thanks for watching!
OMG... loved lana nice bond girl...
Thanks for watching!
I had no idea
Thanks for watching!
She loves 007... Mr. James Bond
Thanks for watching!
The break up was mutually agreed upon.
I doubt very much that Lana left Sean; more the other way around. What women likes to promote she was dumped?
Thanks for watching!
Russian heritage ,that is why she was such a looker.
Thanks for watching!
Russian and Jewish!😄😁
Lana was actually better looking than Natalie
Lana, was prettier and had a better body than her sister, but she was not as good an actress. And for the guys, look around on the Internet and you can see exactly what Sean saw ... one of Hollywood's best figures in her day.
Thanks for watching!
She was the flesh in her day.
Wow her Brother in law is a multi millionaire and she fell on hard times

Why would Robert Wagner help Lana Wood after she accused him of killing Natalie? From Ms. Harper Stacey.
For the sake of the sick kid why wouldn't you
@@harperstacey9604 Ah, sounds like you drank the Kool-Aid too from Wagner's camp, i.e., his legal team and publicists that over four decades haven't allowed him to oblige Los Angles County Sheriff's Department interview requests.
Kennedy?
@@harperstacey9604 Here, lady. Drink a ☕️ of STHU
I just saw her in a movie, forgot the name, she was a half Indian woman who was kidnapped to go see her Indian chief father before he died

She was also starred in Grayeagle. It was not one of her best movies.
"Why that movie was SO bad, it wasn't released -- it escaped."
Most pundits as well as non-discriminating viewers of filmed entertainment would offer "Grayeagle" was a certified p.o.s.
Lana Wood was in the movie, the searchers with her sister Natalie and John Wayne. Lana played Natalie's character as a child. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
She Still is gorgeous
Lana was disposable - and Connery had not moved on? The stellar success dependent on more than ... well Lana.
Good old Sean a mans man I’ve read he had lots of affairs I’d be the same if I’d had women throwing themselves at me like he did
Excuse me, women/men, married or not, know their affair isn't going anywhere.
Thanks for watching!
Mutual ending of the affair.
My name is Plenty O'Toole. Named after your father, of course.

3:01 'he was going to divorce his wife'. ya right.
that way she takes him 'to the cleaners' for infidelity, he got NUTHIN aaaaand
dear Lana wont take up with a pauper. heh heh heh.
Das KritterHaus I'd like to hear what Diane Cilento thought of Sean Connery.
Never like Sean Connory. Cheesy playboy. Why would a female watch the 007 franchise?
These type of Gossip channels that are sort of like National Enquirer or maybe Star Magazine... I always wondered how the "reporters" and the so-called "journalist" would feel
If a RUclips channel dedicated itself to "their" mother's exploits in High school and College?
Maybe they would comment on how many people on the football team she was with or if she blew any of her professors or maybe she got good grades when she didn't deserve them because of sexual favors.
But you never see that stuff,, it's always about famous people that you know aren't going to comment about it...I'd like to hear more about your mother
I'm going to bet it would get more subscribers... you should think about it
That’s Hollywood for ya….
Thanks for watching!
She was good looking but to me just another movie star.
Who else wishes they could go back in time to be famous when the stars were ugly?
Sad. She’s still an attractive woman. She could have done other things later. Sometimes your shadow overshadows you. She needs a living husband to take care of her and bring her joy. In the end I guess choices have consequences in one way or another.
Sorry...Lana.
Sean Connery beat up his first wife Diane Cilento, he boasted that it was ok to slap women, he would never give autographs to fans,
True. He admitted it himself.

First of all Lana wood, sympathies. How your judgement failed. I have to lower my regards for sc. I again feel sorry for you. I know what ipain.
Jill St. John sure got around in Hollywood. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
