This is just the type of lifestyle I want to lead - and not even for the benefits in saving money, but as a hobby. It's awesome that we can observe someone doing all this so everyone can benefit, instead of developing a method from scratch, which would take a lot of time.
My wife and i bought a house a month ago and one of the first things i did was plant a small vegetable garden and some herbs along the side of the house. This channel was the original inspiration for the garden! Thanks for showing us how it can be done!
У нас в России скоро тоже будут посадки в огородах. Сейчас снег лежит, а уже посеяны семена перца и томатов для рассады. В мае высадим в теплицу растения.
I’m on a sauerkraut kick! I add garlic, ginger, carrots, daikon radish, kelp and beets! I’m obsessed! I use regular mason jars and regular lids and check it out very day. No special lid required Thank you for all you do!

i am so inspired in wanting that zero waste, that i went and bought a spice grinder to get herbs from my onion, garlic and other skins for special salts, thanks for those tips! a drying rack is my next thing on the list
For a cheap way, you can always use an oven or air fryer! We got a cheap air fryer for Christmas a year ago, and I've used it a lot for turning onion skins into powder, or old spinach into a powder for sauces!
Wow, probably one of my favorite videos you've done. Love the editing and your passion of course. Been wanting to make some pickles, might add some sliced Jalapeño to make them spicy!
Totally amazed I think I must send you pics of my failed tomatoes. You may know reason why they were not prolific. Happy New Year in 2024. Do you use horse manure . I have a horse. i first knew about this "normal" way of canning when i saw people online using special machines for it, my grandma usually uses empty jars from jam/honey for this and just puts the normal lid back on when shes finished, some stuff even preserved for over 2 years so i was kinda confused when i saw that people use these machine for it. My great grandma even preserved pasted tomatos that still tasted the same after 10 years (we found some after she passed away years later in the cellar), sadly no one in the family knows the technique she used. So Im always wondering why people think they need some special tools to do it, when our ancestors also did it without any tools.
