This is just the type of lifestyle I want to lead - and not even for the benefits in saving money, but as a hobby. It's awesome that we can observe someone doing all this so everyone can benefit, instead of developing a method from scratch, which would take a lot of time.

i first knew about this "normal" way of canning when i saw people online using special machines for it, my grandma usually uses empty jars from jam/honey for this and just puts the normal lid back on when shes finished, some stuff even preserved for over 2 years so i was kinda confused when i saw that people use these machine for it. My great grandma even preserved pasted tomatos that still tasted the same after 10 years (we found some after she passed away years later in the cellar), sadly no one in the family knows the technique she used. So Im always wondering why people think they need some special tools to do it, when our ancestors also did it without any tools.

I appreciate the cool editing but..wtf did you add to your blended fruit? Sugar? Powdered sugar? (I assume)..Cornstarch? Something else? I LOVE your channel and videos, don’t get me wrong.. but many times the instructions are so unclear I feel like they’re made more for “inspiration” than education. Which feels contradictory. Some videos are the opposite and then some are like this. You could have the same editing and layout but insert subtitles that describe the ingredients and measurements you use instead of leaving the viewers guessing. Maybe I just couldn’t see your description where you posted the ingredients? Listen, I could be ignorant and wrong. I’m saying this from a place of love, curiosity and helpful criticism. From my end this might be something to consider. Shoot, there’s a huge chance you won’t give a shit or even see this comment. That’s fine. Maybe you do this purposefully so we’ll buy your book. Or maybe strictly for the ambience of your videos. Perhaps not. You do you. Regardless I admire your work and your values. Keep on keepin’ on amigo… just a thought I have to point out because I’ve noticed SO many RUclips shorts have the EXACT same layout. Trying so hard to be different they all look the same. Viral videos look “cool” but they’re not practical…they FEEL like they’re made by influencers who get paid to record their lives in an entertaining way while they “teach us” quirky secrets (or some random person replicating those tactics)..but in reality it’s just another doom-scroll trap. Like a work out video that goes waaaay too fast and overtly sexualizes the creator, or has misguided information. You aren’t quite in that boat but as far as some videos, I feel like you might as well be. That formula, at least for me, is getting old. In your case I keep up with your channel because of your overall priorities and mission. You have legit value that people need in their lives. Please don’t stray from that. I’d hate to see your videos become more about the “popularity” and less about the knowledge and function. That’s all up to you, not me. Just my two cents.

I admire zero waste but I do think it can be idealistic for regular consumers and citizens. It should be up to the govt / companies. Not everyone has a garden to grow their own food. It's a global issue so one person practicing zero waste will not save us from planetary expansion and global warming. The difference is literally so insignificant. The problem is global. We need local action not just TIK TOK videos

🗣️ Cool video! But the title should be changed 😂. I can see that you have a garden that contributes to “almost” all your food being free 🙂.. but a more fitting title would’ve been something based around how to preserve food or the exact things you did in the video. And with that title.. I wouldn’t have clicked on this specific video because I wasn’t interested in that.
But nonetheless, I do like your content that I’ve seen thus far and the editing is cool. You let off good vibes and you’re not bashing ads or promotional crap down our throats.. everything is subtle and keeps the flow going.

I like your other content, but this thinly-veiled ad is off-putting. So canning jars cost a lot but this device that “preserves” for 5 days is not? And all the space you’ll need to store them in the fridge (or pantry)?

I enjoy your videos but wonder what you're "opening" with your hand tattoo and satanic symbol. I also wonder if the accent is natural or an act to seem more likable. As I said I do enjoy your videos regardless. 💕

We call it PESTIL in Turkish. We have some amazing flavor and mixtures that has been enabling us eating fruit of the season in a delicate and well preserved way for many centuries and even older. Glad you highlighted this. Much blessings from Türkiye 🇹🇷🧿🪬🇹🇷🧿🪬

In no way is any of this free. Growing food requires seeds and ongoing water, soil, and tools (nevermind labor). It takes further sets of tools and supplies to preserve the foods. Even if you try to argue that the foods themselves were grown from existing seeds and thus "free", all of the resources and tools required to go from seed to final preserved product amount to significant costs.

My mom grows herbs in the garden so we dehydrate them in the air fryer. I also tried canning some tomatoes and it worked (I didn't get botulism) but the flavor of the tomatoes really sucked.
