The old Courier has come a long way in the last forty odd years. I wish they would do a 2WD version of the Raptor with a manual option- get rid of all the off-road BS for a proper fast ute that can still tow a loaded car trailer.
Had a flat diesel courier for a work ute at Metro Ford. It was virtually indestructible beyond what claims toyota have made in the past. It was sold or possibly given away and I still see it getting around. Literally a tractor dressed as a ute.

Great looking and sounding rig. Nothing like my work Ute a LDV T60 BiTurbo 160kw. It has a similar 4x4 Auto box but comes free with vibrations, electrical glitches, strange rattles and knocks everywhere. But cant complain with free fuel and full time use. 😃
My T60 (company car, wouldn't buy one) has no knocks or rattles and actually drives quite well. The electrical glitches are next level and the throttle lag is horrible. Probably still have the raptor🤔
Look Scotty man this is a nice truck but it needs a Barra turbo in it dude pulled up beside me I was in my xr6 turbo and he told me the worst thing he ever did was trade his XR turbo in for one of these he's had a lot of problems with his ranger raptor. Cool looking truck tho

Scotty it depends on how it is measured. If you are measuring bar the same way as the the manifold pressure gauge manufacturer, then 1.5 bar is only like 7 PSI. Remember a 3 bar sensor only measures up to 29.4 PSI because the 1st bar is atmospheric. So 0 bar is really -14.7 vacuum.
@@747turbowags yes 14.7 psi, but the sensor doesn't start counting from 0 it starts counting from -14.7 psi vacuum. That is why a 3 bar map sensor will only read 2 bar of positive pressure. I know this because I maxed out my 3 bar Haltech map sensor, and all it would read up to was something like 29.x psi of boost.
Pick mine up friday, same colour. Bought it for the missus, she's not wrapped with the idea but I am. I daily drive a silverado 1500 , so raptor should be just as quick being similar weight and power and same 10 speed box.
I don't think it counts as it not from the factory from memory the Walkinshaw Harrop collaboration on the Chev 1500 Silvarodo Fury ran a high 12 seconds.. that would be the quickest dual cab but that being said I'd be unhappy to be teased on driving a brand spanker Ranger Raptor for a week you one lucky guy!!
Nice that Ford isn't fussed with under bonnet plastics in the Raptor, Sensible move. The thing looks good, nice styling and it looks like a small F Truck. Lots of Toys and handy items so Ford obviously put a lot of thought into design and execution and I love the colour. :-)
We are looking forward the the Ranger Raptor here in the US. It will be the first time it’s sold here and I am seriously looking at purchasing one. The rumor is a $60k starting price and it will be available this fall. For reference a base full size F150 Raptor starts at $75k.
i love everything about that, more now knowing its petrol. but, i dont like those ridiculous electric gear shifters. id prefer mechanical shifter so the computer cant override it. drove a RAM last week that was the same and it wouldnt let me select any gear because the door was open. might seem trivial to most but when out bush or on the farm, being able to move your vehicle with the door open even a little is quite a big thing. have had other cars with elec hand brake that atomatically apply when you turn car off in N. which stopped us from pushing the car between hoist poles. that is also frustrating but hopefully the raptor doesnt do that. also not huge on push button start. my own car has a keyless turn ignition which i love. dont have to hold brake to start so i can kick her in the guts from outside. pop cover off and insert the physical key and you can start the car if the fob dies. alot of these push button cars dont have a physical key backup to start the vehicle. have had a few cars disabled in the fleet due to this and having to rescue with a spare battery. sometimes newer ISN'T better.
I couldn't help but notice the gap between the tailgate and the ute bed. It may have a plethora off whistles and bells, but that gap is a concern. Keep going Scotty, love ya work.

if you have a spare $250k you could buy a 700hp RAM TRX and be faster. But for the Raptors $90k they are a very fast and great value for there performance level

6:17 I see a programming error ( Driver door open and it shows the left door open ) 6:22 At least the HVAC has actual knobs / buttons hopefully all functions are accessible rather than going through 13 levels of ( Hel.. .) touch screens. It worries me a bit that HVAC is also in the touch screen.
it's called a b roll mate, a lot of that footage i would have filmed before or after, this has to be done unless you have a crew with 3-4 cameras all filming at the same time. obviously when i filmed the b roll i had the passenger door open.

That is the issue I'm bringing up. If the left door was open during filming as you state, then the text should read " Passenger door open " If both doors are open I'd expect to see the pic show both front doors open and the text to read " Both front doors open " ( or similar )

You and your audience might laugh at me,but i'm getting 5.5 liters per hundred with my RAV 4 Hybrid. and i can still tow the boat, box trailer. And i'm getting nearly 1000kms out a 55litre tank.On 91 ron. The savings go towards my thirsty toys.
The raptor looks by far the best exterior wise compared to the wild track, sport, xlt as they look to flat and boxy down the side and need flares to make them look decent....That raptor engine bay looks so cluttered. Pipes running all over the place. Maybe they will add an engine cover next year? 🤔

You didn't mention 3k per corner for the suspension. The Fox shocks are awesome, this car requires no aftermarket setup.

Once Haltec releases an adapter to use with the 2500 elite, put bigger injectors, turbos and E85 and grip it will do 11's

How big can you go with the wheels 33”,35” or 37”?
It comes standard with 33's, so more or less fits up to 35's, with a tiny mod to inner guard corner. No lift required.
